　　現(xiàn)在時間還早,先讓我來介紹下天柱山的大致概況吧!天柱山在長江北岸、安徽省潛山境內(nèi),因其高聳挺立，如巨柱擎天而得名。天柱山過去還有潛山、皖山、萬歲山稱。據(jù)說，稱萬歲山是因漢武帝南巡時，親臨皖山設臺祭岳，敕封皖山為“南岳”，在祭岳時，人群高呼萬歲，所以將此山稱為萬歲山。隋唐以后，南岳改為衡山，天柱山被列為國內(nèi)五大鎮(zhèn)山之“中鎮(zhèn)”。唐代大詩人李白曾寫了一著贊美天柱山風景奇秀的詩“江上望皖公山”，皖公山即天柱山，詩云：“奇峰山奇云，秀木含秀氣。清晏皖公山，絕稱人意......”

　　車過旌駕橋，我們就進入了天柱山的南哨——三祖寺景區(qū).三祖寺景區(qū)是天柱山人文景點最集中、文化品位最高的一個文化精品景區(qū)。我們將在這里感受到天柱山神秘的宗教文化和帝王文化，觀賞到具有歷代書法藝術長廊之稱的國家重點文保單位摩崖石刻群。
