現(xiàn)在我們來到了少林寺的山門前,山門就是少林寺的大門,深山藏古寺,所以寺院一般多建于深山,這第一道門就叫“山門”。山門也稱三門,寓意為佛教的三解脫。佛教認(rèn)為人有三毒:貪、嗔、癡。過了這三門就會(huì)滅掉這“三毒”,在心理上做一個(gè)快樂的自由人。門額上的“少林寺”三字是清圣祖康皇帝所書,正上方刻有“康熙御筆之寶”方印,黑底金字,素雅大方。山門殿的佛龕供著大肚彌勒佛,又稱迎賓佛,他慈眉善目,笑迎八方來客,有幅對(duì)聯(lián)“大肚能容,容天下難容之事;慈顏常笑,笑世間可笑之人”說的就是此佛。神龕后面供奉的是韋馱,他是南方天王部下的大神將之首。他手持金剛寶杵,職責(zé)是保護(hù)寺院內(nèi)佛、法、僧三寶的安全。
穿過天王殿,我們面前的這座建筑就是全寺的中心建筑——大雄寶殿。大雄寶殿為面闊五間進(jìn)深三間的重檐歇山式建筑。“大雄”是佛祖的別稱表明佛的光明無量。請(qǐng)大家隨我一起進(jìn)殿參觀。中國有句古話,無事不登三寶殿說的就是這里,三寶指的是佛、法、僧。殿內(nèi)供奉著婆娑世界的釋迦牟尼佛,左為東方凈琉璃世界的藥師佛,右為西方極樂世界的阿彌陀佛。殿內(nèi)東西兩側(cè)塑的是十八羅漢,屏墻后塑的是觀世音菩薩。少林寺大雄寶殿與其他寺院大雄寶殿不同之處在于這里的三世佛左右塑有兩尊站像,分別是達(dá)摩祖師和具有高超武藝的少林寺護(hù)法神——緊那羅王,表明少林寺是禪武結(jié)合的寺院;另外,在該殿中間的兩根大住下還有麒麟雕像,表明禪宗是完全漢化了的中國式佛教。

當(dāng)時(shí)跟隨孝文帝一起來到洛陽城的有一位印度高僧——跋陀。當(dāng)時(shí)孝文帝在全國范圍內(nèi)為跋陀選址修建傳法道場(chǎng),跋陀站在洛陽的城門樓上遙望四方,東南方向群山之中隱隱有紫氣升騰,最終找到這個(gè)地方就是在嵩山少室山七十二蓮花峰圍繞中的一小片平地,這個(gè)寺廟也因?yàn)槲挥谏偈疑较碌拿芰掷锩娑妹?mdash;—少林寺。

很多人了解少林寺都是從83年李連杰演的那一版《少林寺》開始的,電影里給我們講述了一個(gè)十三棍僧救秦王的故事,這個(gè)故事的原型是這樣的:在隋末唐初,當(dāng)時(shí)的中原地區(qū)有一位軍閥叫王世充。王世充相信一句話:得中原者得天下。所以他在中原地區(qū)積極的向外擴(kuò)張,我們都知道打仗的時(shí)候“兵馬未動(dòng)糧草要先行”,為了保證士兵在前線安心打仗,王世充就指示自己的侄子王仁則到各地搜刮糧食。王仁則是一個(gè)比較聰明的人,他知道飽經(jīng)戰(zhàn)亂的中原地區(qū)普通老百姓手里是沒有什么糧食的,他們可是依靠吃草根樹皮存活的;鄉(xiāng)紳富戶吧糧食你搜一次可以、兩次也可以、那三次四次呢?他們家里保存下來的糧食也是家人的活命糧,不可能全部交出來;所以他想到了少林寺——關(guān)于當(dāng)時(shí)的少林寺有這樣一句話來形容她“少林土地大無邊,北到黃河南到山”,意思是當(dāng)時(shí)的少林寺土地很多,從登封北面的黃河開始一直到南面的山(不是大家今天看到的嵩山,而是現(xiàn)在河南省版圖最西南方南陽那里的伏牛山)中間這么一大片廣袤的地方只要見山的地方都?xì)w少林寺所有。少林寺當(dāng)時(shí)在洛陽偃師的柏谷莊建有一個(gè)大糧倉,而柏谷莊糧倉就位于王世充的管轄范圍里面,所以王仁則就搶了柏谷莊的糧食。但是王仁則又是一個(gè)比較蠢笨的人,他搶了糧食沒有趕緊跑,反而派人一把火燒了柏谷莊糧倉。少林寺的方丈很生氣:想我少林自建寺之初就是皇家寺廟,不要說你一個(gè)小小的將軍,哪怕是皇帝來了也對(duì)我少林禮遇有加,你搶了我的糧食我權(quán)當(dāng)開倉賑災(zāi)救濟(jì)災(zāi)民了,可是你燒了我的糧倉,建一個(gè)糧倉不是一朝一夕的事情,我以后再有糧食往哪里存呢?沒地方存這些糧食就會(huì)發(fā)霉?fàn)掉,那我以后拿什么來救濟(jì)災(zāi)民呢?于是派出了十三棍僧去捉拿王仁則,一定要給你一點(diǎn)顏色看一看:讓你知道什么叫天高地厚,什么叫皇家寺廟
不可欺!李世民這時(shí)又剛好度過黃河來到了中原地區(qū),王世充給王仁則下了一個(gè)命令——活捉李世民,萬不得已的時(shí)候亂箭射死。十三棍僧就是在這樣一種情況之下救下了被王仁則追拿的李世民,把他藏于少林的后山之上養(yǎng)傷,傷好之后有喬裝打扮送他渡過黃河,回到了李唐王朝軍隊(duì)的管轄范圍之內(nèi)。李世民登基稱帝之后,為感念少林寺的救命之恩親自頒詔書賞賜少林寺40頃的土地,救他的十三位僧人每人紫羅袈裟、九環(huán)錫杖、這十三人還可以還俗入廟堂為高官皇帝還可以親自為十三人保媒娶妻生子。少林寺接受了40頃的土地,而十三位僧人依舊留于寺內(nèi)常伴佛祖,李世民說“少林寺的僧人是真真正正的清心寡欲潛心向佛,于是準(zhǔn)許少林寺教養(yǎng)僧兵。自此之后少林寺有了護(hù)寺僧兵,這些僧兵戰(zhàn)時(shí)保家衛(wèi)國,和平時(shí)期就保護(hù)少林寺寺眾及周圍山民的安全。這些僧兵在封建社會(huì)史上給少林寺帶來了無上的榮耀,同樣也在封建社會(huì)末期給少林寺帶來了滅頂之災(zāi):滿清政府入關(guān)后對(duì)佛教和道教的不支持,導(dǎo)致了龍門石窟在清朝末年時(shí)期的毀壞和少林寺在整個(gè)清朝時(shí)期的衰敗。,中原地區(qū)又有了一位軍閥叫石友三,他也相信一句話“得中原者得天下”,他也想當(dāng)皇帝,他也相中了少林寺?墒撬粗氐牟皇巧倭炙碌募Z食,這時(shí)的少林寺已經(jīng)沒什么糧食了,他看中的是少林寺的僧兵。歷史上少林寺的僧兵只要?dú)w了哪一股勢(shì)力所有,這一股勢(shì)力必將能夠坐穩(wěn)江山一統(tǒng)天下(唐朝時(shí)期歸了李世民、宋朝時(shí)歸了趙匡胤、明朝時(shí)歸了朱元璋)。石友三來到少林寺,想要少林的僧兵歸他所有,為他打江山,并且給主持許諾:江山打下來之后倆人土地平分、金錢平分、美女也同樣平分!住持拒絕了他:想我少林寺自建寺以來就以拯救天下黎民蒼生為己任,今天你石友三想的不是戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)結(jié)束后怎樣去安撫黎民百姓,幫他們過上好日子,而是怎樣去享受榮華富貴、平分江山美女和金錢,我少林寺堅(jiān)決不能跟他在一起,否則必然會(huì)毀了我少林千年基業(yè)啊!石友三在一怒之下放火燒了少林寺,后來石友三被蔣介石活埋,算是為少林報(bào)了一大仇,但是少林寺千百年以來保存下來的建筑、經(jīng)書、秘籍都在這一場(chǎng)大火當(dāng)中被毀,經(jīng)過全體寺僧及周圍山民的努力只搶救下來了最后一進(jìn)建筑——西方圣人殿。
我們現(xiàn)在所在的位置是少林寺的山門門口,大家請(qǐng)看左右兩側(cè)的石牌坊、高高的紅色旗桿、以及門口的石獅子都是在明朝嘉靖年間的時(shí)候?yàn)榱吮碚蒙倭炙律说綎|南沿?箵糍量艿墓谟苫实塾n下來的一整套門頭,值得我們注意的是這高高的旗桿——全國所有寺廟之中唯有少林寺才有的武僧掛帥出征的時(shí)候掛帥旗的地方,二八年大火時(shí)原來的木質(zhì)旗桿被燒毀,現(xiàn)在的旗桿是我們后來復(fù)制的。大家愛再來看山門上方的牌匾“少林寺”三個(gè)大字是清朝時(shí)康熙皇帝御筆親題,“林”字正上方有康熙寶鑒印章一枚,“寺”字在二八年大火中被燒毀,后來由佛教協(xié)會(huì)前任會(huì)長趙樸初居士補(bǔ)寫上去的。山門內(nèi)供奉未來世佛祖彌勒佛,根據(jù)佛經(jīng)教歷的記載:56.7億年后我們大家現(xiàn)在所處的這個(gè)世界會(huì)有一次大的災(zāi)難,所有有生靈萬物都將遭受涂炭,可是釋迦卻無力拯救我們。到時(shí)候就由這位彌勒佛來拯救我們脫離苦海,彌勒也因?yàn)檫@一天大的功勞接替釋迦成為佛祖。佛祖神像和木質(zhì)佛龕都是清朝時(shí)期的作品。我們進(jìn)門的時(shí)候參拜一下彌勒佛然后再進(jìn)寺廟。
進(jìn)來之后大家 轉(zhuǎn)身來看一看山門后面的韋陀菩薩,韋陀菩薩手中的金剛寶杵一頭搗地一頭立于手中,這表明少林寺是一個(gè)子孫廟。也就是說“外來的和尚會(huì)念經(jīng)”這一句話在少林寺是不管用的,外來的僧人來到少林寺只能免費(fèi)吃住3天,3天以后白天可以來參禪悟道,但是吃飯和住宿問題要自己去外面化緣。
現(xiàn)在我們走的這個(gè)蓮花甬道左右兩邊都是歷史上以及各地少林下院和弟子留下的紀(jì)念碑,兩側(cè)的樹木基本上都是在嵩山古樹名錄登記在冊(cè)的,大家來看看這些樹身上都有一個(gè)一
個(gè)的小洞洞,這些洞洞都是少林寺僧人在練習(xí)少林絕技“一指禪”的時(shí)候一指一指戳出來的。尤其是這一棵巨大的銀杏樹,少林寺建寺之前這一棵銀杏樹就已經(jīng)存在了,少林寺至今已經(jīng)有1520xx年的歷史了,所以這一棵銀杏樹至少已經(jīng)有1519歲了。銀杏是雌雄異株,只有相互授粉后雌樹才會(huì)開花結(jié)果,可是這一棵是一棵雄樹,既不會(huì)開花也不會(huì)結(jié)果,但是在佛祖面前聆聽了1500多年的教誨也應(yīng)該修成了羅漢果,所以又俗稱“羅漢樹”。我們來了解一下這兩方碑刻:前面這一個(gè)上面寫著“少林秘籍,國之瑰寶”是金庸大師來到少林寺的時(shí)候留下的紀(jì)念碑,金庸大事一聲寫了很多武俠小說,每一本里面少林寺都是天下功夫的祖庭也正式印證了“中國功夫貫天下,天下功夫出少林”這句話。后面這一個(gè)寫著“泉州少林寺歸山紀(jì)念碑”,我們都知道在福建有南少林,但是福州也說找到了南少林遺址,泉州也說找到了南少林遺址,相比較而言泉州南少林就比較聰明,找到遺址后趕快來到我們嵩山少林寺認(rèn)祖歸宗,所以我承認(rèn)的南少林只有泉州南少林。
大家抬頭向上看,“天下第一祖庭”六個(gè)大字是乾隆皇帝御筆親題,值得是少林乃是禪宗祖庭。左右兩邊分別是 哼哈二將,是佛教屆的護(hù)法神。天王殿的后面供奉著四大天王,分別時(shí)東方持國天王手持琵琶,南方增長天王手握寶劍,西方廣目天王手持龍蛇,北方多聞天王手持寶傘。四大天王代表了中國古代農(nóng)業(yè)制社會(huì)中對(duì)風(fēng)調(diào)雨順、國泰民安、五谷豐登的美好寓意。
在這里我們看到了2塊玻璃罩起來的古碑。首先看右邊這一塊,在車上給大家講過十三棍僧救秦王的故事,這個(gè)故事在《唐史》當(dāng)中有確切的典籍記載,但年李世民為了感激少林寺的救命之恩,還在詔書上簽下了自己的名字。這一塊碑刻是在大唐開元十六年的時(shí)候由李世民的孫子唐玄宗李隆基請(qǐng)人鐫刻的,記載的內(nèi)容就是十三棍僧救秦王的故事。碑文分為三部分,最上方碑額“太宗文皇帝御書”七個(gè)大字是唐玄宗李隆基親筆題寫;第二部分長方型的框框里就是當(dāng)年李世民所下詔書的全部內(nèi)容 ,從右向左數(shù)第五列有李世民在詔書上親筆草簽的自己的名字“世民”二字;在碑的背面詔書又刻了一份,救李世民的十三位僧人的法號(hào)也都鐫刻于此。我們來看一下這一塊《混元三教九流圖贊碑》:正中間有一幅圖畫,正面來看就是一個(gè)打坐的僧人,但是我們從僧人的鼻子那里分開,就是兩個(gè)人鼻子對(duì)鼻子臉對(duì)臉,我們各看到的半邊側(cè)面像,把右邊遮蓋起來左面就是一個(gè)頭戴方巾的人--中國古代時(shí)期典型的儒生形象,而把左邊遮蓋起來右邊是一個(gè)頭戴小圓帽--中國古代時(shí)期的道士形象。分別代表了三個(gè)人物:佛祖釋迦、先師孔子、老子李耳,中國的三大宗教在嵩山都有自己的祖庭:佛家有天下第一名剎、禪宗祖庭、功夫圣地少林寺;儒家有北宋時(shí)期最知名的四大皇家書院之首的嵩陽書院;道家有道教三十六小洞天之一的中岳大帝廟。這一幅圖也說明了三教一體,九流一源,共同起源于我們嵩山這里。
大雄寶殿是一個(gè)寺廟最重要的一進(jìn)建筑,少林寺的大雄寶殿和其它寺廟的相同之處有以下2點(diǎn):1、正中央供奉三尊主佛,從東向西分別是東方凈琉璃世界的佛祖藥師佛,他所掌管的世界是一個(gè)沒有病痛的世界,那里的人們永遠(yuǎn)不會(huì)生病;中間娑婆世界的佛祖釋迦,他所掌管的就是我們大家所處的這個(gè)紅塵世界,這里有生老病死有痛苦有歡樂;西方極樂世界的佛祖阿彌佗佛,他說掌管的世界是我們凡塵中的人們百年之后人人向往的地方 ;2、東西兩側(cè)分別是十八羅漢;不同的地方為:1、藥師佛的左手邊有一位絡(luò)腮胡子、扛著一根禪杖、背著一個(gè)斗笠的和尚,他就是少林禪宗初祖菩提達(dá)摩祖師;2、阿彌佗佛的右手邊同樣有一個(gè)絡(luò)腮胡子、手持一根燒火棍的僧人,這位就是緊那羅王,在紅巾軍起義時(shí)曾揚(yáng)言要火燒少林,我們都知道少林寺武功最高的都是哪些人呢?后院掃地的、藏經(jīng)樓二樓整理經(jīng)書的、僧伙房里燒火的、紅巾軍很不幸就碰到了我們這位燒火的小沙彌,當(dāng)時(shí)他口中念念有詞說“我是緊
那羅王轉(zhuǎn)世,專為拯救少林此次災(zāi)難而來”,以一人之力抵擋了整個(gè)紅巾軍的侵犯,自此之后少林僧人就將緊那羅王供于大雄寶殿之內(nèi)享受香火;3、立柱下都有一尊麒麟,麒麟是皇室的標(biāo)志,這里有麒麟可以證明(1)少林寺是皇家寺廟(2)少林寺所傳承的禪宗一脈是已經(jīng)完全漢化的中國式佛教。
我們來看一下藏經(jīng)閣下面的這一口巨鍋:明朝是歷史上少林寺最為鼎盛的時(shí)期之一,我們現(xiàn)在所在的這里在當(dāng)時(shí)就有僧人20xx人,這一口重達(dá)一千三百斤的鍋就是萬歷年間少林寺僧伙房里炒菜所用的最小的一口鍋,只有吵到精致小炒的時(shí)候才會(huì)用到它!炒菜的時(shí)候這口鍋架起來,左右兩邊分別立一根立柱,上面大氣一根橫梁,炒菜的師傅用腳倒掛在橫梁上頭朝下進(jìn)行翻炒,這也是少林絕技之一倒掛金鐘的練習(xí)。
金庸大師小說里描述的少林寺的武功秘籍都藏放在藏經(jīng)閣的二樓的說法是正確的,以前的藏經(jīng)閣也確實(shí)是二層建筑,但是在82年重修的時(shí)候只修了一層。藏金閣正中供奉的是緬甸一位居士捐贈(zèng)的白玉臥佛,左右兩邊分別是藏放經(jīng)書的小柜子。有人謠傳說“現(xiàn)在的少林寺不務(wù)正業(yè)、方丈更是怎樣怎樣的”請(qǐng)大家看一下這塊展板:20xx年(佛歷2547年)的時(shí)候少林現(xiàn)任方丈釋永信大師發(fā)下宏愿:籌建少理慈幼院,救助天下孤兒。被救助的孤兒直到大學(xué)畢業(yè)所有的花銷全部由少林寺供給,少林高僧到五岳名山采集靈石圣土、以黃河長江水澆筑了五方寶佛,同時(shí)邀請(qǐng)全球64位高僧共同開光為這些孤兒祈福做公德。
這一進(jìn)建筑并不是很大,但是卻是少林寺非常重要的地方。方丈室是少林歷代方丈生活起居的地方,主持和方丈雖然只差了一張皇帝的詔書,但是主持就沒有資格入住方丈室,滿清政府從未冊(cè)封過少林方丈所以清朝的200多年時(shí)間里這間屋子只有一個(gè)人住過——清朝的乾隆皇帝。少林寺的方丈是終身制,如果老方丈在有生之年找到了心儀的弟子把方丈之位傳于弟子,弟子居于方丈室,那師傅就的搬到這個(gè)靜中靜里來養(yǎng)老了。元朝至正年間的時(shí)候,日本僧人邵元曾經(jīng)來到少林寺學(xué)習(xí)天文、歷法、佛學(xué)等知識(shí),在他學(xué)成歸國(公元1347年)的時(shí)候與我們少林僧人一起種下的2棵友誼樹——中間是一棵柏樹外面圍繞一棵藤纏樹,距今已經(jīng)有666年的歷史了。
達(dá)摩來到中原地區(qū)后,有一位中國高僧神光一直追隨著他 ,想要拜他為師,達(dá)摩卻一直不肯收他為徒。公元536年冬天的一個(gè)夜晚,當(dāng)時(shí)達(dá)摩在達(dá)摩亭內(nèi)靜坐修禪,而神光就站在外面等候達(dá)摩的指示。直到第二天早上達(dá)摩禪定結(jié)束,看到神光還咋還站在亭外,雪下了一夜,神光已經(jīng)變成了一個(gè)雪人。就問神光“你站在這里干什么?”神光說“求師傅傳法于我”,達(dá)摩就說“要我傳法給你,除非天降紅雪”,神光知道達(dá)摩是在考驗(yàn)他的心智是否足夠堅(jiān)定,于是抽出了隨身佩戴的戒刀,一刀砍去了自己的左臂,血灑了一地。佛祖感知到東方弟子有難,于是把身上的袈裟撒向東方,整個(gè)嵩山籠罩在一片紅光之中,也就是說天下起了紅雪。達(dá)摩看到神光的誠心已經(jīng)感動(dòng)了佛祖,于是把自己的衣缽法器都傳給了神光并為他取名為“慧可”,意思是憑你的智慧尚可以傳承佛法。當(dāng)年乾隆皇帝聽了這個(gè)故事后非常感動(dòng),提筆寫下了“雪印心珠”四個(gè)大字,現(xiàn)依舊懸掛于亭內(nèi)。此殿正中供奉的是達(dá)摩祖師。
眼前的這個(gè)高臺(tái)之上的建筑就是在二八年大火當(dāng)中唯一保存下來的建筑,上臺(tái)階的時(shí)候大家看一下這個(gè)大理石雕 :蟠龍玉柱、江山樹、八寶蓮花、五福同壽、日月齊暉,處處體現(xiàn)出了一個(gè)皇家寺廟應(yīng)有的規(guī)制。有人說前面我們看到的那些建筑都是在艱苦年代重修的,自然沒有什么豪華之處,之前肯定是金碧輝煌的!請(qǐng)大家來看一看明朝鼎盛時(shí)期的少林寺所修建的這一進(jìn)建筑:沒有雕梁畫棟、也沒有飛檐翹角,處處體現(xiàn)出簡(jiǎn)樸、低調(diào)的風(fēng)格,
這是因?yàn)樯倭稚艘恢敝?jǐn)記:佛祖和僧人起居的地方不需要太豪華,只要心誠即可!大殿四周的墻壁上是明朝時(shí)期繪制的五百羅漢,歷經(jīng)近520xx年的歷史壁畫依舊色澤艷麗。當(dāng)時(shí)為了使壁畫的色澤更加艷麗畫師們?cè)陬伭侠飺饺肓算U粉。鉛是一種半放射性元素,隨著時(shí)間的增長會(huì)慢慢的揮發(fā)并導(dǎo)致壁畫的顏色發(fā)生變化,據(jù)說記住其中某一位羅漢的身形樣貌,30年之后再來觀看會(huì)有細(xì)微的變化,60年之后卻是大大不同!
