　　地貌特征：吉林市有"遠(yuǎn)迎長白，近繞松花"的形勢(shì)。由于不同時(shí)期的大地構(gòu)造運(yùn)動(dòng)，以及江河的侵蝕、剝蝕和堆積，形成了中山山區(qū)--低山丘陵區(qū)--峽谷湖泊區(qū)--河谷平原區(qū)的地貌，地勢(shì)由東南向西北逐漸降低的地理景觀。

　　中山山區(qū)，位于吉林地區(qū)中、東部和東南部，是全市主要林區(qū)和特產(chǎn)區(qū)域。南有長白山地龍崗山脈，檔南有龍崗山脈的余脈富爾嶺，東北部和呼蘭嶺。松花湖東有老爺嶺，湖西有摩天嶺、南樓山、肇大雞山，皆為中山山群。山區(qū)中有1000米以上高峰110座。最高山峰南樓山，海拔1404.8米。

　　低山丘陵區(qū)，分布在蛟河、樺甸和舒蘭市、永吉縣的中部。山嶺海拔300400米，少數(shù)山峰高600-700米，是開發(fā)較早的區(qū)域。森林已經(jīng)逐漸減退。除占地1748平方公里的吉林市城區(qū)外，蓁區(qū)域是全省重要的農(nóng)業(yè)、林業(yè)、畜牧、漁業(yè)及工礦區(qū)。

　　峽谷湖泊區(qū)，分布在豐滿電站大壩到白山水庫上游金銀別的沿湖、沿區(qū)區(qū)域，是豐滿、紅石、白山三大梯級(jí)電站建成后形成的地貌區(qū)域，環(huán)境幽美，景色狀觀，是大有前途的能源、特產(chǎn)、漁業(yè)、旅游綜合性經(jīng)濟(jì)開區(qū)和建立良好生態(tài)環(huán)境的重要生態(tài)經(jīng)濟(jì)區(qū)。

　　河谷平原區(qū)，分布在松花江中游、永吉縣北部、舒蘭市中部及松花江支流的局部地段。一般海拔170-220米，耕地集中，土壤肥沃，適宜農(nóng)事耕作，是重要的農(nóng)業(yè)經(jīng)濟(jì)區(qū)。
