1. 什么是cgfns？
cgfns全稱是commission on graduates of foreign nursing schools.是專門針對美國本土以外接受護士教育的考試機構(gòu)。
美國護士短缺由來已久，cgfns考試目的是衡量外國護士是否有著和美國國內(nèi)受教育的執(zhí)照護士有著等同的理論臨床水平。

2. 什么人有資格參加cgfns考試？
cgfns 機構(gòu)頒發(fā)的報名手冊有明確的規(guī)定：符合它所定義的first-level，general nurse，都可以報考，具體的規(guī)定是在本國的專業(yè)護士，接受由該國政府批準的護士學(xué)校至少兩年專業(yè)教育，完成了內(nèi)外婦兒精神病學(xué)的理論臨床課程，并持有該國頒發(fā)的注冊護士執(zhí)照的護士了一申請。
醫(yī)生，藥劑師，物理/職業(yè)治療師不能申請考試。
3. cgfns分支機構(gòu)。
cgfns 的發(fā)展非常迅速，除了原有的單純負責申請報名考試的機構(gòu)以外，增加了下列機構(gòu)： international commission on healthcare professions （ichp）， the international consulting and educational service （ice）， and the international consultants of delaware， inc. （icd）。其中的ice，icd我相信主要是幫助教育評估和提供申請者如何完成高中畢業(yè)及提供相關(guān)課程完成，幫助考生達到考試資格要求。
對外國考生來講，比較重要的則是“ichp”這個機構(gòu)，因為它所頒發(fā)的證書是移民的關(guān)鍵之一。
4. 如何報考cgfns？
對于大多數(shù)的外國考生，基本報名步驟沒有差別，考慮自己是否符合cgfns所定義的first-level護士，去函或直接進入cgfns官方網(wǎng)站直接下載申請表和考試指導(dǎo)，按照考試指導(dǎo)一項項填寫即可。申請表完成，準備相關(guān)文件，比如成績單，護士執(zhí)照等等，并附帶考試申請費用，寄至cgfns機構(gòu)，耐心等帶消息，如果文件不全，cgfns會回函要求補件。如果準備充分，cgfns會在你申請的考試期限前郵寄準考證等等，時間上考前一個月或者考前1，2個星期都不一定。
5. 中國國情使中國考生遭遇了很多問題，下面的問題是專門針對國內(nèi)護士的。其實，我相信cgfns機構(gòu)也遇到了同樣的麻煩和問題，因此在它的官方網(wǎng)站上就中國考試中心專門列出了一個常見問題回答，有興趣的考生可以瀏覽參考。
1） 高中畢業(yè)證書我祝賀沒有高中畢業(yè)證書的中國護士獲得了考試資格，cgfns在以前還不了解中國護理教育制度模式，現(xiàn)在是“門清”了。因此就這個問題有了明確答復(fù)。
中國的護士都知道，有很多護校是四年制，將高中教育和護理專業(yè)教育混合成四年，所以不少的考生非常擔心自己沒有高中畢業(yè)證書是否能通過cgfns的考試資格�，F(xiàn)在cgfns針對這個問題出明確答復(fù)：
if an applicant s nursing education and secondary school education were not separate but were combined， the nurse/applicant is not eligible for the qualifying exam and will not be approved to sit for the exam unless the nurse is able to demonstrate one of two things： 1） that the nurse has subsequently completed a full secondary education separate from the nursing education； or 2） that he or she has passed an examination certifying that he or she has completed the equivalent of a secondary school education. （in the united states， this test is known as the general educational development test， or ged. a person who passes the ged test receives a ged certificate demonstrating that he or she has attained the equivalent of a secondary school education.）
如果申請者的護理和高中畢業(yè)教育不是獨立而是混合教育，沒有資格申請考試，除非該申請者能夠提供下列兩種文件之一：1） 和護理教育絕對獨立的高中畢業(yè)證書。2） 或者通過和高中畢業(yè)課程等同的考試（也就是在美國眾所周知的ged）
