Win at the starting line
Good afternoon, everyone. Very happy to see so many new faces here. I am Wang Pengyuan, a senior student from class 1101. Today, it gives me a great honor to give a welcome speech here, to share with you some of my experiences as well as give you some suggestions in the beginning of your college life.
Actually, I am very much curious about your definitions of a good college life at this special point. Someone once complained to me that the college life is totally a waste of time and money. Do you think so? The answer is definitely no. Here I want to tell you that if you try to manage your college life well, you will find that it will be really a valuable part of your life.
And now I’m going to share with you my personal experiences of my college life. I remember when I was a freshman, a junior student was giving a speech on this stage I was so impressed by her, and made my mind to study hard. So what I did in my pervious three years was just about making full use of college resources to develop my own potentials. In my first year, I studied hard as I did in my high school, attending every class, listening to teachers carefully, reviewing after class and doing homework by myself. College at that time was a brand new stage for me, I was trying to find my way of adapting to it quickly. I participated in various kinds of activities to improve my abilities, such as joining in the students union, going to the old people’s home, selling newspapers outside campus, taking part in chorus competition and recitation contest. I think my ability is somehow improved through the year of efforts.
The second year was a very important turning point for me. I tried to learn more by myself and then apply the knowledge into practice. The very important event for me is the 18th China Daily 21st century cup national English speaking competition in which I got the first prize in our school. But what I want to mention is only the benefits I gained from this competition, for example, my English speaking ability has been improved, and no longer afraid of saying a word in public and also I made friends with many students from other universities with whom I can share experience. And some other competitions like Hubei provincial translation and interpreting competition, and so many more.
Another part is the social activities. In July 20__, I went to Singapore to be a volunteer in the second international traditional martial arts competition. That was also an amazing experience in my life. As you can see that I witnessed with my own eyes a different culture thus broadening my horizons. So here I want to appeal to you all that seize every opportunity to develop yourself, for the college is an integrated platform in the journey of your life through which you are bound to grow up.
The third years seems like a great leap for me. Equipped with the solid foundation I laid in the previous two years, I further participated in some important major-related contests, such as the outlook talent show held by CCTV, the fifth cross-strait interpreting competition and national English ability competition. Through all these contests, I found myself much more confident in the road ahead.
Next I’m going to give you some suggestions to help you manage your college life better.
Suggestion1: Learn as much as possible.
For most of us college can be an unforgettable period for us to learn something. Some one once said that university is like a dye vat, which means that you may be easily influenced by others. If you want to learn something you will be embraced by knowledge and wisdom; and if you don’t have the desire to learn you will find you get nothing after 4 years’ college life.
Suggestion2: Cultivate your potentials and interests.
As we know, university is an integrated platform compared with high school. You do not need to bury your head in the books all day long. You need to conduct your self-cultivation and find where your interests lie in. For example, if you have the talent for dancing, you can join in the dance association. Just show it. Life will be colorful if there is joy.
Suggestion3: Always be optimistic and hopeful.
Everybody knows that college life is mostly determined by ourselves. Sometimes you may find that teachers can’t instruct you in every aspects. So you may easily come across difficulties with which you will get bored. But please remember that life has its ups and downs, adversity is just part of our lives. Be optimistic, you will always find your way out.
In a word, combine all the suggestions I’ve mentioned above with your own characteristics and stick to it, you will find success lies in somewhere along the road.

早上好!很榮幸有機(jī)會(huì)作為青年教師代表在開學(xué)典禮上發(fā)言。我發(fā)言的主題是：實(shí)驗(yàn)中學(xué)光榮而值得敬畏。
時(shí)維九月，序?qū)偃铮蟮亓鹘�，鳥雀呼晴。踏進(jìn)校園的一瞬間，激動(dòng)與感動(dòng)油然而生�？�!晨曦中，毛主席親筆手書的“湖北省武昌實(shí)驗(yàn)中學(xué)”校名熠熠閃光;光影里，曾由曾國藩題寫的“惟楚有材、辟門吁俊”的牌樓巍然屹立;聽!紅旗下，“山枕鳳凰、水帶長江，大哉鄂渚，佳氣郁蒼蒼”的校歌嘹亮耳際，響遏行云。樓臺(tái)軒榭，畫棟雕梁;紅石大道，再現(xiàn)榮光。我提議：用我們最亮的掌聲對新老師、新同學(xué)的加盟報(bào)以誠摯的歡迎!向?yàn)槲倚Ｈ缙趩踢w而不辭辛勞的全體員工表示崇高的敬意!
遙襟甫暢，逸興遄飛。從三十年代的道爾頓教學(xué)法到今天的新課改樣板校，從1948年百分之百的升學(xué)率到解放后的全省高考20連冠，武昌實(shí)驗(yàn)中學(xué)一直以最優(yōu)的教學(xué)質(zhì)量聞名荊楚、享譽(yù)中南、聲震全國。九十年來，無數(shù)教師以“來到實(shí)驗(yàn)是光榮、發(fā)展實(shí)驗(yàn)是使命”的信條砥礪自己，敬畏自己的工作，勤懇踏實(shí)，成長為各自領(lǐng)域的名師翹楚。萬千學(xué)子從這里走出，當(dāng)院士將軍、成戰(zhàn)斗英雄、為黨政領(lǐng)導(dǎo)、做藝界、商界、學(xué)界精英，成為各行各業(yè)高素質(zhì)的勞動(dòng)者。作為一名實(shí)驗(yàn)人，對學(xué)校的輝煌、師長的業(yè)績、學(xué)子的榮耀怎能不肅然起敬、油然生愛?剛剛過去的20xx年，實(shí)驗(yàn)人戮力同心，再次贏得高考高分層和600分層面的大豐收。我們有理由為省實(shí)驗(yàn)中學(xué)的鳳凰涅槃、浴火重生感到驕傲!
正如許校長而言，我們執(zhí)教于此，應(yīng)不僅僅為此感到光榮，更有沉甸甸的責(zé)任。一位詩人說過：有時(shí)我們敢于面對強(qiáng)盜，卻不敢面對一個(gè)孩子。是的，站在我們面前的同學(xué)們就是一張張白紙。對這張張白紙，喜愛練字的我卻常常心存敬畏。心存敬畏，“畏”從“敬”來;心存敬畏，“敬”由“愛”生。就讓我們以愛為筆，以智慧為墨，用我們的丹青妙手在白紙上描繪出最絢爛的圖畫!
在這里，我有三段祝詞想和三個(gè)年級(jí)的同學(xué)分享：
初三年級(jí)的“戰(zhàn)士”們!格言云——把意念沉潛得下，何理不可得!把志氣奮發(fā)得起，何事不可做!言——此時(shí)、此地、此身。此時(shí)，讓拖沓的鞋底快快抬起到一個(gè)高度;此地，讓疲憊的頭腦輕輕揚(yáng)起一個(gè)角度;此身，讓稚嫩的肩膀慢慢壓出一個(gè)弧度。初三啦!一物不知，以為深恥;逢人而問，少有寧日，且盡享這“無限風(fēng)光在險(xiǎn)峰”的喜悅!
初二年級(jí)的“朋友”們!古人說：觀操守，在利害時(shí);觀精力，在饑疲時(shí);觀度量，在喜怒時(shí);觀鎮(zhèn)定，在震驚時(shí)。我要說：觀成敗，在初二時(shí)!無情歲月增中減，有味詩書苦后甜。行無愧怍心常坦，身處艱難氣若虹!
初一年級(jí)的“弟子”們!黑塞說：沒有愛的閱讀、沒有敬重的知識(shí)、沒有心的教養(yǎng)，是戕害性靈的最嚴(yán)重的罪過之一。從這一刻起，將“忠毅勤樸”的校訓(xùn)銘記在心間，把誠信創(chuàng)新的精神綻放在臉上。不必打聽“�；ò嗖�”，開落有序，花運(yùn)作的是時(shí)光;枯榮無常，草經(jīng)營的是歲月。何必念念不忘中考，只因你已考中;切莫糾纏于位置值，因?yàn)槟銇淼竭@個(gè)位置，值!
新樓閣擎天重崛起，好傳統(tǒng)乘輿又歸來。讓我們永懷敬畏之心，譜寫實(shí)驗(yàn)中學(xué)跨越式發(fā)展的新篇章!

上午好!
滿載豐收的成果，捧著沉甸甸的金秋。我們迎來了1100多張朝氣蓬勃、熱情洋溢的笑臉，你們是瓊山中學(xué)的未來和希望!在此，我代表全體教職工對你們的到來表示熱烈地歡迎和衷心地祝賀。
俗話說：“一年之計(jì)在于春”，那么，新學(xué)期無疑是師生的春天，是學(xué)習(xí)的春天。春天是耕耘的季節(jié)，春天更是播種的季節(jié)。耕耘和播種需要付出艱辛和努力，只有在春天辛勤地耕耘，秋天才會(huì)結(jié)出累累碩果。作為教師，在新學(xué)期里，我們一定要努力學(xué)習(xí)，開拓進(jìn)取，兢兢業(yè)業(yè)，踏實(shí)工作，努力改變教育觀念，更新教育思想，切實(shí)加強(qiáng)課堂教學(xué)，向課堂要效益、要質(zhì)量。在課堂教學(xué)中努力關(guān)注每位學(xué)生，做學(xué)生的引導(dǎo)者，充分運(yùn)用啟發(fā)式、討論式、誘導(dǎo)式，教學(xué)激發(fā)學(xué)生獨(dú)立思考和創(chuàng)新意識(shí)，讓學(xué)生去感受、理解知識(shí)產(chǎn)生和發(fā)展的過程，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的科學(xué)態(tài)度和科學(xué)精神，變教學(xué)為導(dǎo)學(xué)。
