　　you know, the middle class is not a number. it's a value set. it means being able to own your home; raise your children in a safe neighborhood; send them to a good school where if they do well they can qualify to go to college and if they get accepted you'd be able to find a way to be able to send them to college. and in the meantime, if your parents need help, being able to take care of them, and hope to put aside enough money so that your children will not have to take care of you.

　　大家好！前不久，我讀了一則童話故事，它是英國作家王爾德寫的《巨人的花園》。故事講的是一個巨人看到孩子們在自己的花園里玩耍，很生氣，他在花園周圍筑起了高墻，將孩子們拒于墻外。從此以后，園里花不開，鳥不語，一片荒涼，春夏秋都不肯光臨，只有冬天永遠留在這里。一天，孩子們從墻洞爬進來，春天也就跟著孩子們來了，園里立刻變得生機勃勃。當他把孩子們再次趕出花園之后，花園又被冰雪覆蓋了。后來，在小男孩的啟發(fā)下，巨人醒悟了，隨即拆除了圍墻，花園成了孩子們的樂園，巨人生活在漂亮的花園和孩子們中間，感到無比地幸福……

　　生活中有這樣一個故事：

　　一位中國留學生以優(yōu)異的成績考入了美國一所著名的大學。懷揣著夢想，他告別了父母，遠離了家鄉(xiāng)。但是，入學不久，他就提出了退學。理由很簡單：生活飲食不習慣，父母所給的生活費已經(jīng)花完。

　　回到家鄉(xiāng)的機場，迎接他的是年近花甲的父親，當他看到久違的父親就高興的撲過去，父親一腿部，兒子撲了個空，一個趔趄摔倒在地。父親看著尷尬的兒子深情的說：“孩子，這個世界上沒有任何人能夠做你的靠山，你若想在激烈的競爭中立于不敗之地，任何時候都不能喪失那個叫自立、自信、自強的生命支點，一切全靠你自己。”說完，父親塞給兒子一張返程機票。這位學生沒跨進家門就直接登上了回到美國的航班，返校不久，他獲得了學院里的最高獎學金，且有數(shù)篇論文陸續(xù)發(fā)表在有國際影響的刊物上。

　　上面的故事告訴我們一個道理：每個人出生在什么樣的家庭，有多少財產(chǎn)，有什么樣的父親并不重要，重要的是我們不能將期望寄托于他人，，必要時給自己一個趔趄，只要不言放下，自信、自強就沒有實現(xiàn)不了的事。

　　作為一名幼教工作者,面對的是一群天真無邪、懵懵懂懂的幼兒,面對的是一個個稚嫩柔弱的小生命。他們不涉世事,安全意識薄弱,缺乏自我愛護能力,在每天的學習生活中,一不小心就會發(fā)生這樣那樣的`意外,我們精神的那跟弦一直繃得緊緊的,直到他們被大人接走時揮著小手跟我們說再見的那一刻,才能放下。要知道我國每年有多少小生命在意外事故中消逝?各種安全隱患時刻在威脅著孩子們的健康成長。北京一所幼兒園的門衛(wèi)在精神失常后砍傷十多生,其中一名幼兒因傷勢過重,搶救無效死亡。某幼兒園的保育員老師在孩子們睡覺以后,離開寢室,導致蚊香引燃被絮,14名活潑可愛的幼兒還沒等到背著書包進學堂的那一刻就在“好高級好高級”的幼兒園內(nèi)被不該發(fā)生的烈火吞噬,他們再也不能夠過他們歡樂的六一兒童節(jié)了。我清楚感受到,那一個個鮮活的生命和天真的容顏在如花般凋零時的本能掙扎,他們是那么的無奈和不甘。我的耳畔如同響起孩子們凄厲的慘叫聲、無助的求救聲：“老師,我好痛,老師,救救我!”這是多么令人難過的一幕!

　　是什么造成了這種不幸的發(fā)生?沒有防止的可能么?假如不是那位值班的老師擅離職守,假如幼兒園錄用人員時能嚴格把關,假如……那么這一切本來是可以防止的。但所有的“假如”在忽然襲來的災難面前是那樣的蒼白無力。那些在痛苦中離去還沒有來得及看清這個多彩世界的孩子們,如同在向觀望的人們無言的訴說著：這個世界―我來過!

　　大家好!今天我演講的題目是“祖國在我心中”。同學們可曾記得鴉片戰(zhàn)爭，我們的民族當時是怎樣的腐敗，吸食鴉片而導致身體受傷，被外國人稱為“東亞病夫”�；㈤T上空的硝煙時刻提醒著我們。

　　八國聯(lián)軍侵入北京，掠奪了圓明園內(nèi)的奇珍異寶;九一八事變，日本人用了短短的時間就占領了東北三省;中國清政府被迫簽訂了一系列不平等條約;日本人在南京進行大屠殺，殺死了我們多少中國同胞，這些是我們永遠的傷痕永遠的痛。但是現(xiàn)在，我們的中華民族重新站了起來，恢復了英勇的東方雄獅的模樣，讓外國人不敢輕視我們。

　　錢學森放棄了金錢名譽，歷經(jīng)重重困難回到祖國的懷抱，文天祥英勇豪邁的形象還在我們眼前，那“人生自古誰無死，留取丹心照汗青”的名句激勵著我們勇往直前，詹天佑不怕困難，不怕嘲笑毅然接受任務。這些名人將永存在我們心中，他們?yōu)樽鎳�而奮斗，他們?yōu)樽鎳�奉獻了自己的一切，把他們獻給了祖國。在二十一世紀的今天，我們也應該盡自己的努力來強大祖國。

　　中國現(xiàn)在也在科技的發(fā)展中，神舟十號飛入太空，在太空中留下了中國人的足跡，讓中國人為之而自豪，在外面，在其他國家面前能驕傲地說上一句：“我是中國人!”
