Speak without Fear
The biggest problem most people face in learning a new language is their own fear. They worry that they won’t say things correctly or that they will look stupid so they don’t talk at all. Don’t do this. The fastest way to learn anything is to do it – again and again until you get it right. Like anything, learning English requires practice. Don’t let a little fear stop you from getting what you want.
Use all of your Resources
Even if you study English at a language school it doesn’t mean you can’t learn outside of class. Using as many different sources, methods and tools as possible, will allow you to learn faster. There are many different ways you can improve your English, so don’t limit yourself to only one or two. The internet is a fantastic resource for virtually anything, but for the language learner it's perfect.
Surround Yourself with English
The absolute best way to learn English is to surround yourself with it. Take notes in English, put English books around your room, listen to English language radio broadcasts, watch English news, movies and television. Speak English with your friends whenever you can. The more English material that you have around you, the faster you will learn and the more likely it is that you will begin “thinking in English.” .
Listen to Native Speakers as Much as Possible
There are some good English teachers that have had to learn English as a second language before they could teach it. However, there are several reasons why many of the best schools prefer to hire native English speakers. One of the reasons is that native speakers have a natural flow to their speech that students of English should try to imitate. The closer ESL / EFL students can get to this rhythm or flow, the more convincing and comfortable they will become.
Watch English Films and Television
This is not only a fun way to learn but it is also very effective. By watching English films (especially those with English subtitles) you can expand your vocabulary and hear the flow of speech from the actors. If you listen to the news you can also hear different accents.
Listen to English Music
Music can be a very effective method of learning English. In fact, it is often used as a way of improving comprehension. The best way to learn though, is to get the lyrics (words) to the songs you are listening to and try to read them as the artist sings. There are several good internet sites where one can find the words for most songs. This way you can practice your listening and reading at the same time. And if you like to sing, fine.
Study As Often As Possible!
Only by studying things like grammar and vocabulary and doing exercises, can you really improve your knowledge of any language.
Do Exercises and Take Tests
Many people think that exercises and tests aren't much fun. However, by completing exercises and taking tests you can really improve your English. One of the best reasons for doing lots of exercises and tests is that they give you a benchmark to compare your future results with. Often, it is by comparing your score on a test you took yesterday with one you took a month or six months ago that you realize just how much you have learned. If you never test yourself, you will never know how much you are progressing. Start now by doing some of the many exercises and tests on this site, and return in a few days to see what you've learned. Keep doing this and you really will make some progress with English.
Record Yourself
Nobody likes to hear their own voice on tape but like tests, it is good to compare your tapes from time to time. You may be so impressed with the progress you are making that you may not mind the sound of your voice as much.
Listen to English
By this, we mean, speak on the phone or listen to radio broadcasts, audiobooks or CDs in English. This is different than watching the television or films because you can’t see the person that is speaking to you. Many learners of English say that speaking on the phone is one of the most difficult things that they do and the only way to improve is to practice.

大家早上好！我是706班的江葦鳳，我今天在國旗下講話的題目是“學(xué)好英語，讓我更快樂”。
人生最大的快慰是創(chuàng)造，一件難做的事做成了，一種悶在心里的情感和思想表現(xiàn)出來了，自己回頭一看，就如同上帝創(chuàng)造了世界。看到它好，自己也充分感覺自己的力量，越發(fā)興起鼓舞。
創(chuàng)作固然不是一種易事，也不是一切不可能的事，只要刻苦學(xué)習(xí)就能成功。剛開始，我英語成績總是不好，于是不喜歡英語。看到那枯燥的字母，聽到奇怪的發(fā)音便討厭。但是，中國已走上WTO，英語也是全球通用語言，我不想學(xué)也得學(xué)，便翻開英語書念起來：“A、B、C、D……唉，不讀了，煩死了！”一本英語書被我狠狠地扔在地上。不知發(fā)過多少次誓，希望把期中考試的分?jǐn)?shù)提上去，可又……唉，還是出去走走透透氣吧。我走在街上，漫無目的地走來走去，突然，一個外國人走過來，向我問路，英語一向很差的我就像一個啞巴說不出話來，感覺實在夠難受。我紅著臉走開了。接著，我走到一家店，在店里看貨物，過一會，一個白種人也走進來了，他對售貨員說：“I want to have a pen.”售貨員只聽到“pen”，她進去拿了一個盆子給這個外國人，這個外國人笑著招招手……這樣就鬧出了笑話，也讓中國蒙了羞。經(jīng)過這次散步，我認(rèn)識到英語的重要性，這樣，我對英語下了決心和產(chǎn)生了新鮮感。
對英語的新鮮感，老師的向?qū)�，使我覺得我或許沒有過人之資，但我有中人之資。只要我依著一定的程度，一步一步地向前進，有一分功夫，就有一份效果。孜孜不倦，到后來總可以達到脫口而出的程度。于是，鮮話的字母誰不會？流暢的發(fā)音誰不會？英語，僅僅是用與美國人溝通，美國強大，我們只能先跟他們合作。中國便日益強大，到時候別的國家不就學(xué)習(xí)我們?nèi)A夏五千年的歷史文化嗎？現(xiàn)在我已融入英語，在這飛猛發(fā)展的世紀(jì)，我們都把英語歸納為生活的一部分。如最簡單的`“Good Bye”不也是英文嗎？
英語讓我感受到成功，感受到美妙，讓我把這瞬間的美麗和快樂抱住，那么瞬間就會成永恒。勞動是要付出的，我卻在其中尋找歡樂，尋找生活的意義。英語成了百鳥唱不出的歡樂。

首先感謝胡老師給我這次機會，讓我能夠跟大家分享我學(xué)習(xí)英語的心得體會！
能夠在英語學(xué)習(xí)上取得小小的進步，我想主要是得益于這樣幾個方面：
首先是要端正學(xué)習(xí)態(tài)度。要做到勤學(xué)苦練、持之以恒。學(xué)英語沒有捷徑可走，要想學(xué)好英語，達到運用自如的程度，非下苦功夫不可。下苦功夫就是要進行大量的聽、說、讀、寫訓(xùn)練，使各項技能達到純熟的地步。語言知識應(yīng)該了解，但不下苦功在聽、說、讀、寫上練習(xí)，僅靠死記硬背一些孤立的單詞、一些語法條例，是很難掌握英語這一交際工具的。應(yīng)該是LearningEnglish而不是LearningaboutEnglish。就像學(xué)游泳、跳芭蕾舞一樣，理論掌握得再好，不通過反復(fù)訓(xùn)練是永遠也學(xué)不會的。學(xué)習(xí)英語既然是練功夫的過程，就并不是那么輕松。要不怕困難，堅持學(xué)習(xí)。學(xué)如逆水行舟，不進則退，最忌“三天打魚，兩天曬網(wǎng)”。要日積月累，付出長期的努力。人貴有志，學(xué)貴有恒。
第二便是要掌握正確的學(xué)習(xí)方法。關(guān)于英語學(xué)習(xí)方法，相信同學(xué)們從老師、家長和其他的途徑都有此了解。無非就是分課上和課下兩個部分。課堂上要認(rèn)真聽講，思維跟著老師轉(zhuǎn)，并且做好筆記。特別是老師強調(diào)的重要知識點，一定要記牢。課堂練習(xí)要認(rèn)真完成。同時很重要的一點就是要舉手發(fā)言，敢于表達。總之，上課時要做到耳聽、眼觀、嘴動、腦想，調(diào)動起多個感官來。課下要復(fù)習(xí)老師上課講的內(nèi)容，不懂的地方及時找出來，問老師或者是同學(xué)；課后作業(yè)要認(rèn)真對待，這是檢查自己學(xué)習(xí)成果的一個途徑，一定不能馬虎。不能夠當(dāng)天不完成，第二天早上一來隨便找個跟自己水平差不多的人的作業(yè)胡亂一抄就完事，這樣只會百害而無一利；然后就要復(fù)習(xí)下一節(jié)課將要學(xué)的內(nèi)容，盡量先將單詞和句子的意思都弄清楚，不會的可以做上記號，下節(jié)課時聽老師講，再來了解這一課的相關(guān)語法和文化背景。
另外，語音是學(xué)習(xí)英語的第一關(guān)。不掌握正確的發(fā)音，就不敢大聲朗讀和對話，句子不能上口，后續(xù)的訓(xùn)練就難以進行。所以一定要多跟著磁帶朗讀，大膽實踐，反復(fù)模仿，對比糾正。
如果以上所提到的幾步方法同學(xué)們能夠落實到位，那么英語成績就多多少少會有些許的進步的。
學(xué)習(xí)方法和態(tài)度都固然重要，同樣，學(xué)習(xí)英語的興趣也是十分重要的。俗話說，“興趣是最好的'老師”。因此同學(xué)們不要把英語想象成一門學(xué)科，而是一種語言，一種交流的工具。通過這樣一門語言可以深入地了解這些以英語為母語的國家的文化。當(dāng)然，從學(xué)科上來說，同學(xué)們確實是各有所愛的，如果強行要大家去熱愛英語顯然是不可能的，說不定這種強制性的學(xué)習(xí)還會導(dǎo)致大家對英語有很強的抵制情緒。那么用什么樣的方式去學(xué)習(xí)英語會更好呢？我建議大家可以從自己喜歡的英文歌曲或是原版電影入手。例如班上有很多同學(xué)都喜歡一些歐美國家的歌星，像后街、艾薇兒包括邁克爾、杰克遜等等，那么大家就可以從多聽這些英文歌開始，培養(yǎng)對英語的興趣�？丛娴挠⑽碾娪耙彩呛芎玫姆绞�，看的時候盡量消掉中文字幕，只聽英文發(fā)音。前幾遍或許完全聽不懂，但反復(fù)看幾遍后就能連猜帶蒙地猜出一些，最后能聽懂的地方就會漸漸多起來，同時影片中一些經(jīng)典的對白如果能夠背下來，也是很實用的。當(dāng)接觸了一些歐美的文化后，大家說不定就會對英語有一個全新的認(rèn)識。這時候，學(xué)習(xí)英語也就不會這么枯燥無味了。
當(dāng)然以上我所說的只是概括性的，真正的英語學(xué)習(xí)還要靠大家親自來鉆研、體會才能真正學(xué)好。同時，從整個班上的英語學(xué)習(xí)來說，大家還是要發(fā)揮我們團結(jié)合作的優(yōu)點，互相幫助。英語成績較好的同學(xué)可以給英語成績較弱的同學(xué)一些幫助，讓大家的成績共同提高。
希望今天我的這番發(fā)言能夠給同學(xué)們一點小小的幫助。最后，希望大家能夠在今后的英語學(xué)習(xí)上有一個質(zhì)的飛躍，在下次的考試中超越六班！
