It is always an exciting day in New Year Eve as the majority of people in the world are in very good mood of celebrating New Year. And the list goes on and on.
Just what exactly is New Year Eve? In my own view, I think there are two sets of meaning.
First, New Year Eve represents hope and a new start of the year. Hope is important to mankind. The symbolic meaning encourages us to put all our bad luck behind us as we look forward to a fresh start from the first day of the year.
Second, New Year Eve represents bonding between mankind. This important day grants all of us a chance to stay close to someone we love dearly. As we spend time with them, perhaps, we ask them how they are doing lately, or we find other ways to show someones how much we care for them.
What else do we get out of New Year Eve? Joy is the feel good factor. It means we enjoy being with someone. And joy is something that money can not buy in this world.

It is said that one false move may lose the game. This is proved in ourdaily life obviously. They movetheir factories to developing countries which can not only benefit them muchmore profit than before, but also those countries welcome them since they canhelp increase the countries’ GDP.
While it seems we can gain a lot from building factories to produceproducts, the shortcomings of these buildings are becoming obvious. Though atthe beginning, those developing countries did gain a lot of profit. As timepasses, people living surround the factories deposit industrial waste into theriver which directly leads to the influence of human’s lives. Fish died, birdsdisappeared, people moved, and we couldn’t imagine what would come next. Theseindustries also use lots of resources to carry on their production. Largeamounts of carbon dioxide are discharged, we all know the consequence of that,global warming—as one of the most essential environmental problems in the world,is becoming more and more serious currently. That the local government ignoredwas that these factories damaged their environment without any punishment butreception! They didn’t notice the negative aspect on this investment. What apity!
In summary, nowadays, businessmen are destroying our motherland—earth forthemselves. What should we do in this situation? Ignore them or try to take someactions on it? I believe all of us will choose the latter, right? So just do it,nothing is impossible.

When I was nine years old I went off to summer camp for the first time. And my mother packed me a suitcase full of books, which to me seemed like a perfectly natural thing to do. Because in my family, reading was the primary group activity. And this might sound antisocial to you, but for us it was really just a different way of being social. You have the animal warmth of your family sitting right next to you, but you are also free to go roaming around the adventureland inside your own mind. And I had this idea that camp was going to be just like this, but better. (Laughter) I had a vision of 10 girls sitting in a cabin cozily reading books in their matching nightgowns.

Camp was more like a keg party without any alcohol. And on the very first day our counselor gathered us all together and she taught us a cheer that she said we would be doing every day for the rest of the summer to instill camp spirit. And it went like this: "R-O-W-D-I-E, that's the way we spell rowdie. Rowdie, rowdie, let's get rowdie." Yeah. So I couldn't figure out for the life of me why we were supposed to be so rowdy, or why we had to spell this word incorrectly. (Laughter) But I recited a cheer. I recited a cheer along with everybody else. I did my best. And I just waited for the time that I could go off and read my books.

And then the second time I tried it, the counselor came up to me with a concerned expression on her face and she repeated the point about camp spirit and said we should all work very hard to be outgoing.

Now, I tell you this story about summer camp. I could have told you 50 others just like it --all the times that I got the message that somehow my quiet and introverted style of beingwas not necessarily the right way to go, that I should be trying to pass as more of an extrovert. But for years I denied this intuition, and so I became a Wall Street lawyer, of all things, instead of the writer that I had always longed to be -- partly because I needed to prove to myself that I could be bold and assertive too. And I was always going off to crowded bars when I really would have preferred to just have a nice dinner with friends. And I made these self-negating choices so reflexively, that I wasn't even aware that I was making them.

I went with some friends, and we spent there just five days, but it was enough time to want to come back next summer! We stayed on the beach for hours, in the mornings, just lying and asleep, taking enough energy for the rest of the day and for the night! At night, we went out until next morning. We danced, met people, walked near the beach... while we watched the moon in silence. Next, i went to paris with my parents and my sister. Actually, i did not go to paris, i went to disneyland. We stayed there for four days, and it was really unforgettable. When i saw the park, i opened my eyes the most i could and i did not close them until the night at the hotel. I felt like a little girl again. Finally, i was in salou. My parents looked for a really relaxing time, and we were on the beach for some days. There, we did not visit anything, we were there just to rest. After those days, we came , and, unfortunately, we had to start our routines again.

I'm a lifelong traveler. Even as a little kid, I was actually working out that it would be cheaper to go to boarding school in England than just to the best school down the road from my parents' house in California.

then 1 august , i got the chance to study the new course of english. until then could i realized that it was my frozen eyes that make the students flinch, it was my stiff face that trod out the enthusiasm in the children’s hearts. how to stimulate my class and show my warmth, so that they can enjoy their study in english? i had a deep thought.
it’s smile. there is a kindness called smile. it is the most beautiful language in the world. it can make distance no distance. "just awake the students with a smiling face!"i said to myself.
the next day, when i stood on the stage with a smiling face, when i asked the questions with a smile, when i encouraged the children in a friendly way, the students were just shocked! but i could find there was more happiness and excitement in their eyes! gradually, they got used to it, and participated in my teaching. as i predicted, that class became a lovely one. i was moved, and said"thank you for listening, boys and girls!"
in the following days, i keep on working even harder. i prepare my lessons carefully. i use flash, pictures, riddles, and interesting stories to make great efforts to help the students to learn more. but i will never forget one thing: smile, give them a smile, to give them strength, to let them feel happy, to make them confident. the children do enjoy the english lesson now, when they tell me the answers in great excitement, i can feel their gladness, and my smile is more sincerely than ever!

It had to be someone who was humorous by nature and fluent in English. Suddenly, all eyes turned to me, and I knew I would have to be the dwarf. To my great surprise and delight, once on stage, I was totally absorbed in the performance and my humorous nature was put to full use. As the dwarf, I was a big hit.
Yes, each of us is only one among millions of others, but each of us is an individual and each of us is unique. Cultivating our individuality will transform our lives, making of them a kaleidoscope of new colors and textures.
A world deprived of diversity would be a bland and boring place. The real tragedy is not being short or shy or ugly, but having your identity lost in a world in which everyone is a clone of a model cool boy or a flawless charming girl.
Given a choice, I would rather be ugly than live in such a world. I'd rather be a genuine dwarf accompanying a Snow White than be a Snow White among nothing but Snow Whites. I would rather be myself. Facing this audience on the stage, I have the exciting feeling of participating in the march of history, for what we are facing today is more than a mere competition or contest. It is an assembly of some of China's most talented and motivated people, representatives of a younger generation that are preparing themselves for the coming of a new century.
I'm grateful that I've been given this opportunity, at such a historic moment, to stand here as a spokesman of my generation and to take a serious look back at the past 15 years, a crucial period for every one of us and for this nation as well.
Though it is only within my power to tell about my personal experience, and only a tiny fragment of it at that, it still represents, I believe, the root of a spirit which has been essential to me and to all the people bred by the past 15 years.
In my elementary years, there was a little girl in the class who worked very hard but somehow could never do satisfactorily in her lessons.
The teacher asked me to help her, and it was obvious that she expected a lot from me. but
as a young boy, restless, thoughtless, I always tried to evade her so as to get more time to enjoy myself.
One day before the final exam, she came up to me and said, "Could you please explain this to meI want very much to do better this time. " I started explaining, and finished in a hurry. Pretending not to notice her still confused eyes, I ran off quickly. Nat surprisingly, she again did very badly in the exam. And two months later, at the beginning of the new semester, word came of her death of blood cancer. No one ever knew about the little task I failed to fulfill, but I couldn't forgive myself. I simply couldn't forget her eyes, which seem to be asking, "Why didn't you do a little more to help me, when it was so easy for youWhy didn't you understand a little better the trust placed in you, so that I would not have to leave this world in such pain and regret"
I was about eight or nine years old at that time, but in a way it was the very starting point of my life, for I began to understand the word "responsibility" and to learn to always do my duties faithfully and devotedly, for the implications of that sacred word has dawned on me: the mutual need and trust of people, the co-operation and inter-reliance which are the very foundation of human society.
Later in my life, I continued to experience many failures. But never again did I feel that regret which struck me at the death of the girl, for it makes my heart satisfied to think that I have always done everything in my power to fulfill my responsibilities as best I can.
As I grew up, changed and improved by this incident and many other similar ones, I began to perceive the changes taking place around me and to find that society, in a way, was in its formative years like myself. New buildings, new commodities and new fashions appear every day.
New ideas, new information, new technologies. People can talk with each other from any corner of the earth in a matter of seconds. Society is becoming more competitive.
Words like individuality and creativity are getting more emphasis and more people are rewarded for their hard work and efforts. Such is the era in which this generation ,grows and matures.
Such is the era in which this generation will take over the nation from our fathers and learn to run it. Yet in the meantime, many problems still exist.
We learn that crimes take place in broad daylight with crowds of people looking on and not assisting. We hear that there are still about 1 million children in this country who can't even afford to go to elementary schools while enormous sums of money are being squandered away on dinner parties and luxury cars.
We buy shoddy medicines, or merely worthless junk in the name of medicines, that aggravate, rather than alleviate our diseases since money, many people believe, is the most important thing in the world that must be made, even at the expense of morality and responsibility.
Such an era, therefore, determines that we are a generation with a keener sense of competition and efficiency and a greater readiness to think critically and act creatively.
Such an era, furthermore, demands, that we are a generation with a clear perception of our historical responsibility and an aggressive will to take action and solve the problems. History has long been preparing these qualities in this generation and it is now calling us forward to give testimony to our patriotism and heroism towards this nation and all humanity.
Standing here now, I think of the past 15 years of my life as an ordinary student. Probably I'll be an ordinary man for the rest of my life. But this doesn't discourage me any, for I know that with my sense of responsibility and devoted efforts to always strive, for the best, it's going to be a meaningful and worthwhile life that I will be living.
Standing here now, I think of the past 15 years of this nation, which has achieved greatness that inspired millions of people of my age, most of whom will not attain fame or prestige and only a few of whom will be remembered by posterity. But that doesn't discourage us any, because we know that the world watches, the world listens, the world is waiting to see where this nation will be heading in a time of rich opportunities and fierce competition.
I can't ever forget that little girl in my class who couldn't had the same opportunities as any of us here to enjoy a wonderful life today and a hopeful world tomorrow.
It is the sacred responsibility of this generation to face up to the challenges of the new century and to devote our sweat and blood, our wisdom and passion, to the historic cause of making this nation a greater and happier land for every one of us.
We are not going to evade that responsibility. We are going to let people down. And people, far and near, will hear of us. Frost will be brought to their backbones and tears to their eyes when our stories are told and retold, So let us go forth, my fellow members of this luckily chosen generation, and meet the new century in victory and glory.

站在臺上面對大家，我心情十分激動。好像是在參加一次歷史性的長征。我們今天面對的遠不只一場競賽或角逐。這是才華出眾，生氣勃勃的中國青年的一次聚會。我們是青年一代的代表。為迎接新世紀的到來，我們正在從各方面作好準備。
在這一歷史時刻，能有機會代表同齡人在此認真地回顧于國于己都至關(guān)重要的過去的15年，我感激萬分。
盡管只能談?wù)剛�人經(jīng)歷，而且只涉及其中一個小小的片段，但我相信，它仍然折射出對我和在過去15年間一同成長起來的青年人都不可缺少的一種思想基礎(chǔ)。
我上小學(xué)時，班上有位小姑娘，學(xué)習非常刻苦而成績卻不盡人意。
老師要我?guī)椭��？吹贸�，她也寄厚望于我。但我那時還是個小男孩，坐不住，不懂事。我老是ME避她。以便有更多時間自己玩。
期末考試前一天，她來求我說“請你給我講解一下行嗎這次我很想考得好一點。”我開始給她講解，不一會兒便草草收場，假裝沒有察覺她迷茫的眼神，一溜煙兒地跑開了。不出所料，這次她又考砸了。兩個月后，新學(xué)期依始，傳來她死于血癌的.消息。我沒有完成那項小小的任務(wù)，無人知曉。但我卻不能原諒自己。她的眼睛令我難以忘懷，仿佛在責問我，“你為什么不愿多幫助我呢這對于你來說，并不費事。你為什么不能理解我對你的信賴，而讓我?guī)е纯嗪瓦z憾離開這個世界”
我當時才八九歲。但從某種意義上講，這件事成了我生活的新起點。因為我開始體會到“責任”二字的意義，并盡心盡力地學(xué)著完成自己的義務(wù)。我也逐漸領(lǐng)會了這個神圣字眼的深刻內(nèi)含:人與人之間的彼此需要和信任、合作和依賴正是人類社會存在的基礎(chǔ)。
之后，我在生活中又經(jīng)受過多次失敗，但那小姑娘之死所引起的懊悔，心里卻不曾再現(xiàn)。想到自己做每一件事都能盡職盡責，一種滿足之感便油然而生。
此事及類似的多起事件改變了我，完善了我。當我長大成人，我開始領(lǐng)悟周圍發(fā)生的一切變化。我發(fā)現(xiàn)，從某種意義上說，社會跟我一樣，正處在一個自我完善的時期。新建筑、新商品、新款式一天一個樣。新思維、新信息、新技術(shù)層出不窮。即便萬里相隔，人們在轉(zhuǎn)瞬之間即可相互交談。社會競爭越演越烈。
人們越來越強調(diào)個性和創(chuàng)造性。越來越多的人因工作努力而受到獎賞。這就是當今的時代，一代新人由成長邁入成熟的時代。這是我們這一代人接替父輩治國安邦的時代。然而，我們也面臨很多間題。
據(jù)悉，壞人在光天化日之下作惡，周圍的群眾居然袖手旁觀，無動于衷。我還聽說，目前我國尚有100萬兒童連小學(xué)也上不起，而巨額資金卻拿去舉辦奢侈的宴會和購置豪華的轎車。
我們常常買的是劣質(zhì)藥品，或名曰藥品實為一文不值的廢物，非但不能除病去痛，反而會使病情加重。在某些人看來，世上金錢最寶貴，只要能賺錢，不惜犧牲道德和責任。
因而，這個時代賦予我們的是更強烈的競爭和效率意識，使我們更善于批判性地思考和創(chuàng)造性地行動。
此外，這個時代要求我們這一代人必須認清自己肩負的歷史重任，下定決心，采取行動，解決上述問題。長期以來，歷史一直在我們這一代人身上培養(yǎng)著這些品質(zhì)�，F(xiàn)在，歷史呼喚我們挺身而出，以實際行動向全民族及全人類證實我們的拳拳愛國之心和大無畏的英雄主義。
此刻，我站在講臺上回顧15年來的學(xué)生生活。今后的歲月，我很可能平平淡淡地度過。但這絲毫不會讓我心灰意冷。因為我知道，憑借強烈的責任感和精益求精的不懈奮斗，我將追求一種有意義的生活，一種不枉此生的生活。
此刻，我站在講臺上回顧過去，15年來祖國取得的巨大成就激勵著千千萬萬的同齡人。我們之中大多數(shù)人將與名利和權(quán)力無緣。只有極少數(shù)人或許會后世留芳。對此我們絲毫也不會在意。因為我們知道，世界在觀望，世界在傾聽。在這個大量機遇和激烈竟爭并存的時代，我們國家究竟去向何方，整個世界都在關(guān)注。
我永遠不會忘記班上那位小姑娘。她本應(yīng)該卻沒能和在座各位一樣享受今天美好的人生和明日充滿希望的世界。
接受新世紀的挑戰(zhàn)，把我們的血汗、智慧和熱情奉獻給建設(shè)祖國、造福人民的偉大歷史事業(yè)。這就是我們這一代人的神圣職責。

大家好！
我從師專畢業(yè)后進修英語教學(xué)培訓(xùn)，系統(tǒng)而又牢固地掌握了英語教學(xué)的專業(yè)知識。多年來始終在教學(xué)第一線致力于小學(xué)英語教學(xué)及研究，使自己的專業(yè)知識得到進一步充實、更新和擴展。
有較強的教學(xué)能力
從選擇教師這門職業(yè)的第一天起，我最大的心愿就是做一名受 學(xué)生歡迎的好老師，為了這個心愿，我一直在不懈努力著。要求自己做到牢固掌握本學(xué)科的基本理論知識，熟悉相關(guān)學(xué)科的文化知識，不斷更新知識結(jié)構(gòu)，精通業(yè) 務(wù)，精心施教，把握好教學(xué)的難點重點，認真探索教學(xué)規(guī)律，鉆研教學(xué)藝術(shù)，努力形成自己的教學(xué)特色。我的教學(xué)風格和教學(xué)效果普遍受到學(xué)生的認可和歡迎。
以 上所述情況，是我競聘英語教師的優(yōu)勢條件，假如我有幸競聘上崗，這些優(yōu)勢條件將有助于我更好的開展英語教學(xué)工作。
如果我有幸競聘成功，能擔任三四 年級英語教師的話，我將從以下方面開展工作。

You can exercise and go walking there. There are about one million people in Haimen. Most of us live in flats. They are not very high. There is a supermarket here. Its name is Times Supermarket. It has three floors. It is very large. There are many things in it, such as clothes, snacks, stationery, an electrical shop and a bookshop. There are lots of hotpot restaurants in Haimen. I think the Old House Hotpot Restaurant is the best. I like eating hotpot very much. There is a lot of delicious food in this restaurant.
In Haimen, there is a TV tower. It’s very high and in the evening it is very beautiful. I think there are lots of nice lights on the TV tower.
The weather in Haimen is good. In spring it’s warm. Many birds fly in the sky. The flowers are very beautiful. It’s hot in summer. We keep air-conditioners on every day. It is cool in autumn and in winter it’s very cold. Do you like my hometown?
