A Brother Like That A Brother Like That A friend of mine named Paul received an automobile from his brother as a Christmas present. On Christmas Eve when Paul came out of his office, a street urchin was walking around the shiny new car, admiring it. "Is this your car, Mister?"
he said. Paul nodded. "My brother gave it to me for Christmas."
The boy was astounded. "You mean your brother gave it to you and it didn’t cost you nothing? Boy, I wish . . ."
He hesitated. Of course Paul knew what he was going to wish for. He was going to wish he had a brother like that. But what the lad said jarred Paul all the way down to his heels. "I wish,"
the boy went on, "That I could be a brother like that."
Paul looked at the boy in astonishment, then impulsively he added, "Would you like to take a ride in my car?"
"Oh yes, Id love that."
After a short ride, the boy turned with his eyes aglow, said, "Mister, would you mind driving in front of my house?"
Paul smiled a little. He thought he knew what the lad wanted. He wanted to show his neighbors that he could ride home in a big automobile. But Paul was wrong again. "Will you stop where those two steps are?"
the boy asked. He ran up the steps. Then in a little while Paul heard him coming back, but he was not coming fast. He was carrying his little crippled brother. He sathim down on the bottom step, then sort of squeezed up against him and pointed to the car. "There she is, Buddy, just like I told you upstairs. His brother gave it to him for Christmas and it didn’t cost him a cent. And some day Im gonna give you one just like it . . . then you can see for yourself all the pretty things in the Christmas windows that Ive been trying to tell you about."
Paul got out and lifted the lad to the front seat of his car. The shining-eyed older brother climbed in beside him and the three of them began a memorable holiday ride. That Christmas Eve, Paul learned what Jesus meant when he said: "It is more blessed to give . . . "

一、共同關(guān)注的幾個(gè)問(wèn)題：
這一時(shí)期的學(xué)生發(fā)展具有以下特點(diǎn)：
7—14歲年齡段上，教育學(xué)和心理學(xué)把這一階段稱為“少年期”這段時(shí)間上，心理和生理變化比較迅速，身心各方面都比較矛盾。父母要高度重視對(duì)這一關(guān)鍵期和危險(xiǎn)期的監(jiān)護(hù)和把關(guān)。這一時(shí)期他們精力充沛，好奇心強(qiáng)，任何事總想試一試，但他們的愿望與自己的實(shí)際能力是有很大的矛盾的，他們的獨(dú)立性增強(qiáng)了，總想擺脫對(duì)教師和家長(zhǎng)的信賴，總認(rèn)為自己不是孩子了。有事不愿和父母及師長(zhǎng)交流，處于一種半封閉狀態(tài)，和同齡人訴說(shuō)又冒著曝光的危險(xiǎn)，所以他們感覺沒有朋友沒有人可以理解他們，他們的情感很脆弱，最容易沖動(dòng)，做事也很莽撞，后果意識(shí)能力差，好奇是他們一生中的高峰。他們雖達(dá)不到辨析是非的能力，但很自信，自我抑制能力在這段時(shí)間最低。所以父母和老師，一定要加強(qiáng)教育和引導(dǎo)。

1、安全問(wèn)題：
主要存在兩大方面：
首先，交通安全。在校內(nèi)，要求學(xué)生單人靠右上下樓，不準(zhǔn)并行。不準(zhǔn)在樓梯內(nèi)逗留、擁擠、奔跑、打鬧。保證學(xué)生的安全。我們學(xué)校從領(lǐng)導(dǎo)到每一位教師都非常關(guān)注學(xué)生的安全，采取了許多措施盡量保障每一位學(xué)生安全。放學(xué)時(shí)，每班的正副班主任都把學(xué)生送到接送區(qū)。學(xué)生雖然在學(xué)校里的安全得到了保障，但是，學(xué)生在路上也可能出現(xiàn)問(wèn)題。這就要求我們學(xué)校和家長(zhǎng)共同教育，共同努力。比如：每天學(xué)生回家后可以問(wèn)一問(wèn)學(xué)生的情況。我們老師會(huì)經(jīng)常教育學(xué)生遵守交通規(guī)則，保證自身的安全。
其次，是飲食安全。學(xué)生亂買零食吃飲食安全也存在隱患。一些小商小販只顧自己賺錢，不顧食品衛(wèi)生和孩子的健康。孩子比較小，對(duì)于食物的選擇不加考慮，愿意吃什么就吃什么。一些孩子喜歡吃一些油炸食品，長(zhǎng)期吃這種食物會(huì)造成身體的傷害。我們老師們經(jīng)常教育學(xué)生注意飲食衛(wèi)生，希望家長(zhǎng)在家也囑咐孩子要注意飲食衛(wèi)生。孩子回到家，多讓孩子吃些水果。
3、學(xué)生上網(wǎng)問(wèn)題。

我們?cè)诩彝?nèi)要關(guān)注學(xué)生的健康發(fā)展。這次家長(zhǎng)會(huì)，我主要談怎樣針對(duì)六年級(jí)學(xué)生的年齡特點(diǎn)來(lái)進(jìn)行教育和溝通。比如，在我校有的同學(xué)不聽家長(zhǎng)和老師的勸告，上網(wǎng)吧去打游戲成癮，老師苦口婆心勸說(shuō)多次，但無(wú)濟(jì)于事，學(xué)生與老師形成了對(duì)立。這就說(shuō)明，現(xiàn)在的孩子有和父母、老師對(duì)著干的趨勢(shì)。所以，在教育上就要有較好的方法才行。

my family was rather poor when i was in my childhood. we didn't have our own house and had to live in a shabby，small room rented from my father's factory. the room was so small that there was little space for people to walk. i didn't have my own bed and had to sleep with my parents. this is terrible both for my parents and me.
but father made this all different!he works very hard on his own business, now we have our own 2 housese,surly,i have my own room.and he take our family so much happiness, richer and richer.
when i was little, i did everything with my dad. you could always find me sitting on his knee or walking and doing everything with him. every night he would read me a bed time story and make the voices of each character.
i learnt a lot from my daddy. i learnt to never take things to seriously and to always smile.
like many other fathers, my dad and i also has generation gap. he is not good at or even can’t work the computer. so when i sitting at the computer desk,he will say something like ‘you should pay more attention to your study’, ‘don’t waste time on the computer games’ , ‘it will be bad for your eyes’ and so on. how can i- a computer fan – reduce time on computer? so i continue studying and playing on it
years pasted, my father is over 45 now. it is time for me to look after him and i am sure i will do and we will live an even better life. and i will say,i really love you dad,cause you are the hero in my mind.
