　　ladies and gentlemen:

　　my topic is honesty. as a correspondent of the qingdao morning news, i visited dr. james gilman, the president of the international committee for marco polo studies in england. in this picture, this is james, and this is me and we are looking at a dragon’s tooth. this is a true story.

　　65 years ago, james lived in qingdao. then he was only 5 years old. he often visited the aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there, which he thought was a dragon. he was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure.

　　in the late 1930s, when the japanese occupied qingdao, his family had to leave. on his last day in qingdao, he ran to the aquarium and pulled out one of the teeth from the dragon’s mouth.

　　he kept the tooth for the next 65 years, but the feeling of guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through his life. it was always on his consience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. finally he decided to put right his childish error. in , he visited qingdao and returned it to the aquarium with his sincere apologies. he received a warm welcome.

　　when james visited qingdao, i accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit. i was deeply touched by his honesty. it has taught me a lot. i think to err is human. the important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error.

　　honesty is a vital quality of human behaviour. so we should try to keep an honest mind in everything we say and do. i would like to say to all of my friends: let’s be honest people of good moral character.

　　65年前，詹姆斯一家住在青島，當(dāng)時他只有5歲。他經(jīng)常去青島水族館，那兒陳列的一個巨大的生物標(biāo)本使他著迷。他認(rèn)為那是一條“龍”，他既懼怕又喜歡它鋒利的牙齒，想擁有一顆作為寶貝來珍藏。

　　上個世紀(jì)30年代末，當(dāng)日本人開始侵占青島的時候，他們家不得不離開青島返回英國。在青島的最后一天，他跑到水族館，從“龍” 的嘴里拔出了一顆“龍牙”。

　　他將這顆“龍牙”珍藏了65年。但是，由于“偷”了這顆“龍牙”，負(fù)罪的感覺一直伴隨著他，他的良心時時受到譴責(zé)，年老后尤為強烈。最后，他決定要改正兒時的錯誤。XX年，他訪問了青島，帶著真誠的道歉將這顆“龍牙”交還給了青島水族館，他受到了熱烈的歡迎。

　　詹姆斯訪問青島，我一直作為翻譯陪同并報道他的訪問。我被他的誠實精神深深地打動了,從詹姆斯身上，我學(xué)到了很多。我想，人都會犯錯誤，重要的是有勇氣承認(rèn)和改正錯誤。

　　誠實是人們行為的重要品質(zhì)，所以，我們應(yīng)該以誠實的態(tài)度去說和做每一件事情。我要對我的朋友們說：讓我們都來做具有高尚道德品質(zhì)的誠實的人。

　　敬愛的老師，親愛的同學(xué)們。大家好!今天我們演講的題目是《讓青春與誠信通行》在青春的道路上，誠信是每一個人必不可少的東西。誠信是一種堅不可摧的信念，是一種品德，更是人類一聲的追求。

　　一個人有了誠信，就有了真正的生活的動力的核心，人并不能做到百分之百的誠信，但人只要遵守自己的諾言對待他人。就已經(jīng)是一種高尚的品德了，對于我們來說，正值青春年華，更要秉承這種品質(zhì)。我們所擁有的誠信，要做到最好、做到更好的來用誠信對待他人。誠信沖一點一滴的小事積累而成的。那我們便要從此刻做起，讓自己成為身懷高尚品質(zhì)的人，正如孔子所說“吾日三省吾身，為人謀而不忠乎?與朋友交而不信乎?傳不習(xí)乎?”我們應(yīng)該時刻注意自己的言行舉止，對待他人是否做到位，對待長者是否尊重，對待朋友是否真誠。

　　青春，正是此時。我們在人生的跑到上，追尋著自己的目標(biāo)，各方面正在無限擴展，老師給予我們的是永不熄滅的啟明燈。我們的品德也在漸漸升高，越變越清楚明了。我們要聽從老師的教誨，讓青春與誠信通行。用這種信念去對人對事，正是我們現(xiàn)在所要領(lǐng)悟，所要學(xué)習(xí)的。

　　中國英雄雷鋒，犧牲了青春挽回了誠信與美好的品德。在誠信與品德之間，在每個中國人的心中，卻都得到了永生，這是我們應(yīng)該學(xué)習(xí)的榜樣。我們要學(xué)習(xí)這種精神，這種品質(zhì)，永遠(yuǎn)徘徊在人與人之間，環(huán)環(huán)緊扣心弦。

　　誠信是固然重要的，正值青春的我們，更要把“誠信”兩牢牢記在心里。

　　Beloved teacher, dear students. Hello, everyone. Today our topic is let the youth and integrity pass in the path of youth, integrity is one essential thing. Good faith is a kind of be secure against assault conviction, is a virtue, is a pursuit of human.

　　A person with good faith, will have real life the power core, people can not do one hundred percent of the faith, but as long as keep his promise to treat others. It is a kind of noble character, for us, in the prime of life, to uphold the quality. We have integrity, to do your best, do better to treat others with sincerity. Integrity at every little bit matter accumulation. That we shall be right from the start, to allow themselves to be equipped with high quality people, as Confucius said I reflect on oneself three times a day, as people sought and disloyal? AC instead of letters or with a friend? Pass study? We should always pay attention to your behavior, to treat others is done in place, with elders respect, treat a friend is sincere.
