春節(jié)的英語作文篇1

Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. It is sometimes called the "Lunar New Year" by English speakers. The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first month in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th; this day is called Lantern Festival. Chinese New Year's Eve is known as chú xī. It literally means "Year-pass Eve".

Chinese New Year is the longest and most important festivity in the Lunar Calendar. The origin of Chinese New Year is itself centuries old and gains significance because of several myths and traditions. Ancient Chinese New Year is a reflection on how the people behaved and what they believed in the most.

Celebrated in areas with large populations of ethnic Chinese, Chinese New Year is considered a major holiday for the Chinese and has had influence on the new year celebrations of its geographic neighbors, as well as cultures with whom the Chinese have had extensive interaction. These include Koreans (Seollal), Tibetans and Bhutanese (Losar), Mongolians (Tsag春節(jié)的英語作文n Sar), Vietnamese , and formerly the Japanese before 1873 (Oshogatsu). Outside of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Chinese Taiwan, Chinese New Year is also celebrated in countries with significant Han Chinese populations, such as Singapore, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. In countries such as Australia, Canada and the United States, although Chinese New Year is not an official holiday, many ethnic Chinese hold large celebrations and Australia Post, Canada Post, and the US Postal Service issues New Year's themed stamps.

Within China, regional customs and traditions concerning the celebration of the Chinese new year vary widely. People will pour out their money to buy presents, decoration, material, food, and clothing. It is also the tradition that every family thoroughly cleans the house to sweep away any ill-fortune in hopes to make way for good incoming luck. Windows and doors will be decorated with red colour paper-cuts and couplets with popular themes of "happiness", "wealth", and "longevity". On the Eve of Chinese New Year, supper is a feast with families. Food will include such items as pigs, ducks, chicken and sweet delicacies. The family will end the night with firecrackers. Early the next morning, children will greet their parents by wishing them a healthy and happy new year, and receive money in red paper envelopes. The Chinese New Year tradition is a great way to reconcile forgetting all grudges, and sincerely wish peace and happiness for everyone.

春節(jié)的英語作文篇2

When the Spring Festival comes, the newly painted table always has some chicken and duck fish, but that's the whole pot. To put it simply, it's just to clean up the leftovers, and the repetition is disgusting. Sometimes there were fewer children on the table, and it must have been a mixed meal on the street.

The most eye-catching thing in the Spring Festival is that one zhang hongtong tong, put in the hands of the lucky money, even if the parents shave, will also leave a few of the bottom! Not to mention, perhaps some naughty children, all day long to avoid Tibet, may be afraid of the money into their parents' pockets, all to their custody!

In the hometown, every Spring Festival, the old people's court in the town always held a "guessing game" activity. That was a big event. At that time, all the children in the town would participate, because the reward for solving the riddle was sweet candy! Although the reward is very generous to the child, but the riddle is also a bad guess, enter the old man's court, you will see the colorful questionnaire of each child is scratching his head. Of course, as a child, I couldn't help but be tempted to join in, and a puzzle was like a candy in my eyes. Sitting in the old man's courtyard for an hour or so, the return is not small, twenty pieces of candy fall into my stomach!

This is the Spring Festival that I know of when a naughty boy can hear the sound of the sound of the sound of the footsteps of the Spring Festival!

春節(jié)的英語作文篇3

Every family affixed red couplets and a big "fu". It was also ready for the firecrackers that were set at twelve o 'clock on the eve of the reunion dinner and the New Year's eve.

Everyone was here, and the glorious and arduous task of pouring the tea was given to me. I was so busy that I was so happy with the task that I now felt a little bit of a retreat. Seeing the grown-ups playing CARDS, playing mah-jongg, and watching TV, I felt as if I had an infinite number of tiny hands scratching on my heart.

To eat the reunion dinner, the delicious food on the table made me eat three feet. I was going to steal a piece of it with my hands, but I hesitated, fearing that I would spoil my impressions of the New Year. "Pa, pa --" dad was putting on the turnips, and in the tradition of putting on the turnips, there was a short story! Legend has it that there is a big monster, which people call "year". Every year, the year will go to the people's homes to eat and destroy. Then you know she was afraid of the huge noise, so we put up the red fireworks at the end of the year, driving out unwanted "year", the later people in order to commemorate the day, this day is called "New Year". This is also the story of "New Year".

After the meal, everyone gathered around the fire to fire and watch the "Spring Festival gala". Some adults roasted the rice cakes for their children, which is said to raise the annual rate of children who eat rice cakes. Just after the rice cake, the dumplings came out of the pot, white, fat, like a big white gold. Eat again can prevent the ear not to be frozen bad, still sweet and soft, delicious!

At twelve o 'clock, after the turrets were finished, the grown-ups gave the children the red envelopes they had prepared. It was said that the money was under the pillow and the money would be good for the year.
