在我國，發(fā)電主要靠燃煤，而地球上的煤是有限的。按現(xiàn)在的耗用速度，全球的煤將在250年內(nèi)消耗。到那之后，我們將無任何煤留給我們的后代。
節(jié)約用電，就是節(jié)約煤，也更是直接為減少大氣污染做貢獻。因為酸雨是因煤炭燃燒形成的，它能強烈的腐蝕建筑物，并能使土壤和水質(zhì)酸化，導致糧食減產(chǎn)，草木魚蝦死亡。據(jù)計算，我國僅西南，華南酸雨造成的經(jīng)濟損失，每年就達140億萬元。
節(jié)約用電，能夠減緩地球變暖。由于煤碳燃燒排放的大量二氧化碳，像一個罩子一樣阻隔地面的熱量向天空外散發(fā)，產(chǎn)生了溫室效應，如果地球溫度升高，會引起干旱或洪水，還會使冰山融化。如果地球上的冰山全部融化，海拔較低的國家和島嶼就會消失。
生活在今天的我們，是肯定要邁入下一個世紀的，他們很多都為全球日益變暖而脆弱。德國192所學校的13.5萬兒童發(fā)誓要讓自己所居住的社區(qū)中造成溫室效應的有害氣體減少10%。他們換上節(jié)能燈，拒絕用空調(diào)，放棄用汽車，選用自行車。經(jīng)過7個月的努力，他們已達到了目標。
轉(zhuǎn)眼間，我們又快要進入美麗的六月了，這是植樹造林，綠化國家的大好時機，為了創(chuàng)造良好的綠色家園，保護好生態(tài)環(huán)境，我建議同學們：

大家都知道，如果我們不保護環(huán)境，地球上的各種資源都會慢慢枯竭;如果不保護環(huán)境，人們就會面臨滅亡;如果不保護環(huán)境，不僅是人類，地球也會逐漸走向滅亡!我們生活的這個地球是那么美麗、那么可愛，同時又是那么容易破碎。我們經(jīng)常就可以看到一些這樣的鏡頭：一位高大威猛的執(zhí)法人員走著走著，“呸”的一聲把一口痰吐在了干凈的地面上;一位中年男子抽著煙，走了一會兒就把還沒熄滅的煙頭扔在了地上。我曾經(jīng)看見過這樣一幅畫面：一位父親拉著正喝著酸奶的兒子急匆匆地走，兒子問父親，瓶子扔哪兒?父親說隨便扔。兒子又說，老師說‘不能隨便扔東西!’父親不耐煩地說，哎呀，特殊情況特殊對待嘛!說著，就把瓶子隨手扔在了路邊。人們往往亂扔東西時，垃圾箱就在不足十步的地方，他們就不愿多走幾步，把不要的東西扔進垃圾桶里。如果每個人都扔一個垃圾，地球就會變成垃圾的海洋。
還有一個鏡頭，一個母親給孩子買了一個冰棍，把撕下的紙順手就扔在了一邊。這個孩子看到后，撿了起來，準備扔進不遠的垃圾桶，可就在這時，那位母親趕緊走了上來，拍掉了孩子手上的紙，說：“快扔掉，臟!”同樣是地球公民，為什么卻有如此之大的反差!如果每個人都撿起身邊的垃圾，那么我們的地球?qū)兊枚嗝雌粒蓛舭?難道那些破壞環(huán)境的人要等到環(huán)境在他們的破壞下“不堪入目”才回過頭來再繼續(xù)保護環(huán)境嗎?
同學們，讓我們行動起來吧，撿起腳邊的垃圾，扔進不遠的垃圾桶，讓我們的地球母親重現(xiàn)以前的光彩吧!讓我們共同創(chuàng)造一個潔凈的家園
