Many wild animals are facing the danger of extinction, because the environment that they are living in has changed greatly. For example, with the developmet of cities, the using of insecticide and serious pollution, their living areas have become narrowcr and narrower. Many of the wild animals, now are confronted with food crisis. At the same time, man is killing off species just for getting their fur, skin, horns, teeth and meat.
In order to protect our resources of ecology, people should realize that the loss of any species is at least the loss of source of knowledge and a source of natural beauty. There fore, measures of the following should be taken: pollution standards are made to keepdown poisons; killing off certain rare species is prohibited; national parks should be set up as wild life, reserves.
Only if we human beings take some drastic measures can wild animals be preserved.
許多野生動(dòng)物正面臨絕種的危險(xiǎn)，因?yàn)樗鼈兩畹沫h(huán)境發(fā)生了極大的變化。譬 如，隨著城市的發(fā)展，殺蟲(chóng)劑的使用和嚴(yán)重的污染，野生動(dòng)物的生活區(qū)域變得越來(lái)越狹小。許多野生動(dòng)物目前正面臨著食物方面的危機(jī)。同時(shí)，為了獲取野生動(dòng)物的 毛、皮、角、牙齒和肉，人類正在屠殺野生動(dòng)物。
為了保護(hù)生態(tài)資源，人們應(yīng)當(dāng)意識(shí)到任何物種的缺失，至少意味著知識(shí)資源和自然美的缺失。因此，應(yīng)采取以下措施：制訂污染標(biāo)準(zhǔn)以降低有毒物質(zhì);嚴(yán) 禁殺害某些稀有物種;應(yīng)建立國(guó)家公園作為野生動(dòng)植物保護(hù)區(qū)。
野生動(dòng)物
Dinosaurs died out because of an unexpected incident. But wildlife today disappears or is in danger just because humans do harm to it. For example, tigers are hunted for fur to make carpetsso that they can only live in secure reserves; grassland is destroyed without mercy so that duststorms come into being affecting distant cities.
Last year, scientists saw some monkeys rubbing themselves with a certain kind of insects toprotect themselves from fierce mosquitoes biting. According to the result of the inspection, they found that the insect contains a powerful drug, so local farmers were employed to catch the insects. The ending was that the insects disappeared from the whole zone. When told that it was a loss to humans, the farmers burst into laughter and responded, “Our real loss is our decreasing income.”
We should appreciate the natural balance and pay more attention to the importance of wildlife protection. Not until we succeed in letting wildlife live in peace, can we smile in relief.
