　　In the era of information and technology, the Internet plays an important role in our society. However, people’s opinions are still divided on this point. Those who are in favor of the Internet claim that it has a lot of advantages. Firstly, information searching is no longer a tough job with the help of all kinds of search engines. Secondly, we can contact friends or business partners via e-mails or software such as Internet Meeting and Yahoo Messenger.

　　Those who are opposed to the Internet hold that its disadvantages are numerous. In the first place, using the Internet costs considerable time, money and energy, especially for those with poor self-control. In the second place, increasing young people are indulged in online games and unhealthy information, which are extremely harmful to their development.

　　In my opinion, its pros outweigh the cons. The past twenty years have witnessed the fast development of the Internet along with the national economy. A brighter future is awaiting us if we make good use of the Internet.

　　Nowadays, the Internet has become very common in our daily life, in that we can surf the Internet everywhere anywhere by computer or mobile. However, the debate on the pros and cons of the network has never stopped. Some people say that the network is a platform for information sharing. Due to it, we have a convenient channel for the dissemination of information and access to information. But some others argue that some people commit a crime by the Internet, so we should stay away from the Internet. From my point of view, I prefer to agree to the former view.

　　現(xiàn)在，網(wǎng)絡(luò)在我們的生活中已經(jīng)很普通了，我們可以隨時(shí)隨地地利用電腦和手機(jī)上網(wǎng)。但是，關(guān)于網(wǎng)絡(luò)的利弊的爭(zhēng)論從來沒有停止過。有的人說網(wǎng)絡(luò)是分享信息的平臺(tái)，有了網(wǎng)絡(luò)，我們就有了傳播信息和獲取信息的渠道。但是，另外一部分人卻說有的人會(huì)通過網(wǎng)絡(luò)犯罪，我們應(yīng)該遠(yuǎn)離網(wǎng)絡(luò)。至于我個(gè)人的意見，我同意前者的觀點(diǎn)。

　　There are some reasons accounting for my point. Firstly, with network, we can exchange information frequently and conveniently. In the information area, information is wealth. In many cases, whether we can succeed in something, it depends on how much information we get. In addition, except for its serious functions, network is a good tool to entertain. Preciously, we only have TV or game machines to have fun, but now we have a functional platform for fun. On the Internet, we can watch TV programs and movies, or we can play online games as well as chat with friends freely, which is a good way to relax.

　　以下的原因可以支撐我的觀點(diǎn)。首先，有了網(wǎng)絡(luò)，人們可以頻繁、便利地交換信息。在信息時(shí)代，信息就是財(cái)富。在很多時(shí)候，我們是否能做成一件事，很大程度上取決于我們獲取的信息的多少。此外，除了這樣稍顯嚴(yán)肅的功能之外，網(wǎng)絡(luò)也是娛樂的好方式。以前，我們只有電視或游戲機(jī)可以娛樂，但有了網(wǎng)絡(luò)，就有了一個(gè)多功能的娛樂平臺(tái)。我們可以再網(wǎng)上看電視節(jié)目、電影，或者玩網(wǎng)絡(luò)游戲，也可以自由地和朋友聊天，這是一種很好的放松的方式。

　　In short, there is no denying that the Internet has its own disadvantage, but I think its advantages far overweight its disadvantages that we can make good use of those good but avoid those bad.

　　簡單來說，無可否認(rèn)地，網(wǎng)絡(luò)有它的缺點(diǎn)，但我認(rèn)為網(wǎng)絡(luò)的優(yōu)點(diǎn)遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)大于其缺點(diǎn)，我們應(yīng)該利用好網(wǎng)絡(luò)好的方面而避免其帶來的負(fù)面影響。

　　The usage of Internet becomes one of the most controversial topics in the society. As a college student, I believe Internet is beneficial to me more than the way it harms me. There are many advantages for using Internet.

　　因特網(wǎng)的使用成為一個(gè)社會(huì)中最有爭(zhēng)議的話題。作為一名學(xué)生，我認(rèn)為互聯(lián)網(wǎng)是對(duì)于我是利大于弊的。使用互聯(lián)網(wǎng)有很多優(yōu)點(diǎn)。

　　First, I can best use my time to find information online instead of going to different libraries. Also, the information can be dated back in decades ago. It is very helpful to use those information as reference and historical proof. In the library, it is hard to find so much "old" information. Another advantage to use Internet is that I can stay home and have a lecture online. It is much more convenience to me because I can stay warm to have class in the winter time instead of spending two hours on the bus and physically attend class. In addition, Internet provides me a better way to communicate with my friends and professors. I can get response from my professor in a few minutes instead of waiting outside of his door for hours. Some of my friends are living in a foreign countries, I can simply just drop him an email whenever I can and get a message from him very quick. It is much better than waiting for letters. Also, the email will not lose while the letter might be losing in the process of delivery.

　　首先，我可以充分利用我的時(shí)間去網(wǎng)上查找信息而不是去各個(gè)圖書館。同時(shí)，網(wǎng)上的信息可以追溯到幾十年前。把那些信息作為參考或歷史憑證是很有幫助的。在圖書館里，很難找到那么“老”的信息。使用互聯(lián)網(wǎng)的另一個(gè)優(yōu)勢(shì)是，我可以呆在家里在網(wǎng)上聽講座。對(duì)我來說是很方便的，因?yàn)槲铱梢裕�在冬天的時(shí)候保持溫暖上課而不是花兩個(gè)小時(shí)坐公共汽車而且心不在焉的上課。此外，互聯(lián)網(wǎng)為我和我的朋友與教授提供了一個(gè)更好的交流方式。我可以在幾分鐘內(nèi)得到我的教授的回應(yīng)，而不是在他的門外等幾個(gè)小時(shí)。我有些朋友是住在國外的，我可以隨時(shí)給他發(fā)郵件，也可以很快的得到回信。這比等待的信件好得多。同時(shí)，郵件不會(huì)丟失而信件則有可能在運(yùn)送過程中丟失。

　　However, there are also disadvantage of using Internet. For example, I might spend too much time on the Internet to concentrate on my study. Also, there is a chance that I am cheated because of the Internet purchasing. Last, Internet has lots of information, both helpful and harmful. There might be too much tempatation that I will access some of the harmful information I can on the Internet.

　　但是，也有使用互聯(lián)網(wǎng)也是有缺點(diǎn)的。例如，我可能會(huì)花過多的時(shí)間在互聯(lián)網(wǎng)上而無法專注于我的學(xué)習(xí)。同時(shí)，因?yàn)榫W(wǎng)購我也可能有被受騙的機(jī)會(huì)。最后，網(wǎng)上有大量的信息，既有有益的也有有害的。在互聯(lián)網(wǎng)上可能有太多的誘惑，我會(huì)獲得一些有害信息。

　　Even though the usage of Internet has both positive and negative effect to me, I still consider Internet is a symbol of technology development. I believe I can use the Internet very well as long as I know how to control myself.

　　即使使用互聯(lián)網(wǎng)對(duì)我既有積極的也有消極的影響，我仍然認(rèn)為互聯(lián)網(wǎng)是技術(shù)發(fā)展的象征。我相信只要我知道如何控制自己，我能很好地使用互聯(lián)網(wǎng)。
