手機(jī)與課堂Cellphone and Class
When cellphone became popular among students many years ago, many teachers were so worried about students’ attention in the class would be distracted, so they forbid students to bring cellphone in the classroom. As the time went by, though it has been admitted to use cellphone in the classroom, the schools still try to find a way to limit it.
很多年前，當(dāng)手機(jī)在學(xué)生中流行起來的時(shí)候，許多老師都擔(dān)心學(xué)生在課堂上的注意力會(huì)被分散，所以他們禁止學(xué)生帶手機(jī)進(jìn)課堂。隨著時(shí)間的流逝，盡管學(xué)生得到許可可以在教室里使用手機(jī)，但是學(xué)校仍然試圖想辦法限制手機(jī)的使用。
Cellphone seems to be the teachers’ enemy in the classroom. When they are teaching knowledge, they find most students are lowering down their heads to play cellphone. It must frustrate teachers so much. In order to focus students’ attention, they figure out all the ways. Recently, it has been reported that the students’ cellphones were handed in and then destroyed in a college. Surely, the public condemned the school’s extreme regulation, which is not a wise choice to do it.
手機(jī)在課堂上似乎是教師的敵人。當(dāng)他們?cè)趥魇谥R(shí)時(shí)，發(fā)現(xiàn)大多數(shù)學(xué)生都在低頭玩手機(jī)。教師肯定會(huì)感到很沮喪。為了集中學(xué)生的注意力，他們想盡一切方法。最近，據(jù)新聞報(bào)道，一所高校的學(xué)生被迫交出手機(jī)并且被學(xué)校摧毀。公眾肯定會(huì)譴責(zé)學(xué)校這種極端的做法，這并不是明智的選擇。
Cellphone has been part of our life. Even the teachers can’t live without cellphone, let alone to grab it from students. The way to catch students’ attention is to make their lessons vivid and interesting. At the same time, it is important to let student realize what they will miss if they can’t focus attention.
手機(jī)已成為我們生活的一部分就算是教師也無法離不開手機(jī)，更不用說從學(xué)生身邊搶走手機(jī)。吸引學(xué)生注意力的方法是使課堂生動(dòng)，有趣，與此同時(shí)，讓學(xué)生意識(shí)到他們不集中精力聽課玩手機(jī)將會(huì)錯(cuò)過什么知識(shí)也是很重要的。
那些過時(shí)的習(xí)俗The Outdated Tradition
China has the history of more than five thousand years, and we are so proud of the culture. When foreign people come to China, they are attracted by the variety of culture. We are advocated to preserve the tradition, while for the outdated part, it should be removed.
中國有著五千多年的歷史，我們也為這些文化而感到驕傲。當(dāng)外國人來到中國，他們都會(huì)被其文化的多樣性所吸引。我們提倡保護(hù)傳統(tǒng)，然而對(duì)于過時(shí)的那部分，我們應(yīng)該要摒棄。
Every time when the big day comes for Chinese people, they get used to ask their families and friends to have a big dinner, but tragedy happens sometimes because of the old tradition. For example, a boy was so glad to enter the top university that he asked relatives and friends to celebrate, people kept toasting him. As a result, the boy died of drinking too much. What a great tragedy. The good thing turned to be bad suddenly.
每次中國人有喜事的時(shí)候，他們都習(xí)慣叫家人、朋友去大吃一頓，因?yàn)楣爬系膫鹘y(tǒng)，有時(shí)卻會(huì)發(fā)生悲劇。例如，一個(gè)男孩很高興考上了一所好大學(xué)，他邀請(qǐng)親戚、朋友來慶祝，大家不斷給他敬酒，結(jié)果，男孩死于飲酒過量。真是悲劇，好事突然變成了壞事。
Such tragedy happens all the time for Chinese people. The old tradition result in the end of many young lives. Drinking is the main root. People drink for seeking business cooperation, or showing respect. When we realize it is not right to keep the outdated culture, it is time to remove the negative part.
這樣的悲劇對(duì)國人來說時(shí)有發(fā)生。那些老傳統(tǒng)終結(jié)了好多年輕的生命。飲酒是主要的根源。人們通過喝酒來尋求業(yè)務(wù)合作，以示尊重。當(dāng)我們意識(shí)到這樣做是不對(duì)時(shí)，就是時(shí)候把過時(shí)和消極的部分摒棄掉了。
讓世界聽到我們的聲音Let the World Hear Our Voice
In China, if you ask a foreigner how he thinks about Chinese people, he will surely speak highly of Chinese people. In his eyes, people there are smart and friendly. While the situation is very different in western countries, they have bad impression of Asian people.
在中國，如果你問一個(gè)外國人他如何看待中國人，他肯定會(huì)給出高度評(píng)價(jià)。在他眼里那里的中國人很聰明也很友好。然而在西方國家情況卻是相反的，他們對(duì)亞洲人的印象都不好。
In the general opinions of foreigners, Asian people are smarter than them, but they are poor and rude. Most media report the relative news with negative sides. They try to implant people the idea of the stereotype of Asian people, so as to boast how well they are. But the fact is not true, Asian people are hard-working and polite. They don’t like to argue with others and they want to keep silence.
在普通外國人眼里，亞洲人雖然比他們聰明，但是他們很窮也很粗魯。很多媒體報(bào)道相關(guān)負(fù)面新聞，試圖給人們植入亞洲人刻板的形象，轉(zhuǎn)而吹噓他們的生活。但事實(shí)并非如此，亞洲人工作努力，有禮貌。他們不喜歡和別人爭論，喜歡安靜。
As the culture is very different, western media barely spread the voice of Asian people, so our voice has been ignored and culture misunderstanding happens. As the world gets globalized, we need to let the world know our thoughts, so that we can have the power to protect our interest.
由于文化差異，西方媒體幾乎不怎么傳達(dá)亞洲人民的聲音，因而我們的聲音總是被忽略掉，文化誤解時(shí)有發(fā)生。隨著世界越來越全球化，我們需要讓世界知道我們的想法，這樣我們就可以有能力保護(hù)自己的利益。
