我三歲大的弟弟被叫了好幾遍去上床睡覺。最后一次我媽媽用很堅(jiān)決的語(yǔ)氣對(duì)他說時(shí)，他回答道：“是的，先生！”因?yàn)樗诤臀覌寢屨f話，我們都沒有想到他稱呼我媽媽為先生。
“you would say, ‘yes,sir!’ to a man. i’m a lady, and you would say ‘yes,ma’am,’ to a lady,” mom said. to quiz him on his lesson, she then asked him, “what would you say to daddy?”
“對(duì)男士可以說‘是的，先生’。我是女士，對(duì)女士你要說，‘是的，女士’”，媽媽說道。為了測(cè)一測(cè)他，她接著問他：“你對(duì)爸爸說什么？”
“yes,sir!” came the reply.
“是的，先生！”他回答。
“then what would you say to mama?”
“那你對(duì)媽媽說什么呀？”
“yes, ma’am!” he proudly answered.
“是的，女士！”他驕傲的回答。
“good boy! what would you say to grandma?”
“好孩子！那你對(duì)奶奶說什么呢？”
he lit up and said,”can i have a cookie?”
他舔了舔嘴唇，說：“我可以要塊甜餅嗎？”
