Travelling on a train
a travel by air has never appealed to me. i can't agree that airplanes are somehow superior to trains. people who are fond of taking an airplane are forever talking about the speed and comfort on an airplane. however, they fail to mention that airplanes have the reputation of being dangerous and even hardened travellers are intimidated by them. and a long journey on an airplane is one of the most tiring things.
if you can do without the few pastoral pleasures of the airplane, you will find the train can provide you with the best that travel can offer. you never have to stick yourself to one certain place, you can strech your arms and legs whenever you'd like to. sleep comes in snatches on a train, which is another advantage of trains. a good sleep is a solution to spend the time on the journey. during the day, you can do some reading or just enjoy the senery outside the window. there is plenty to keep you occupied. trains also have the advantage of being safe. you can travel fairl safely at high speeds. in addition, compared to the high cost of traveling on an airplane, trains are considered as an cheap form of transport, which means a lot to us students.
it has always been a mystery to me why some of my friengs obstinately image the trip on an airplane to be a kind of enjoyment. don't you think travelling on a train is a better choice when travel long distance?
