　　春節(jié)一般指除夕和正月初一。但在民間，傳統(tǒng)意義上的春節(jié)是指從臘月初八的臘祭或臘月二十三或二十四的祭灶，一直到正月十五，其中以除夕和正月初一為高潮。在春節(jié)期間，我國(guó)的漢族和很多少數(shù)民族都要舉行各種活動(dòng)以示慶祝。這些活動(dòng)均以祭祀神佛、祭奠祖先、除舊布新、迎禧接福、祈求豐年為主要內(nèi)容�；顒�(dòng)豐富多彩，帶有濃郁的民族特色。

　　當(dāng)午夜交正子時(shí)，新年鐘聲敲響，整個(gè)中華大地上空，爆竹聲震響天宇。在這“歲之元、月之元、時(shí)之元”的“三元”時(shí)刻，有的地方還在庭院里壘“旺火”，以示旺氣通天，興隆繁盛。在熊熊燃燒的旺火周圍，孩子們放爆竹，歡樂(lè)地活蹦亂跳，這時(shí)，屋內(nèi)是通明的燈火，庭前是燦爛的火花，屋外是震天的響聲，把除夕的熱鬧氣氛推向了最高潮。

　　壓歲錢是由長(zhǎng)輩發(fā)給晚輩的，有的家里是吃完年夜飯后，人人坐在桌旁不許走，等大家都吃完了，由長(zhǎng)輩發(fā)給晚輩，并勉勵(lì)兒孫在在新的一年里學(xué)習(xí)長(zhǎng)進(jìn)，好好做人。有的人家是父母在夜晚待子女睡熟后，放在他們的枕頭下，更多的人家是小孩子們齊集正廳，高呼爺爺奶奶、爸爸媽媽新年快樂(lè)，列隊(duì)跪拜;而后伸手要紅包。甚而追討到爺爺媽媽的臥房，一齊跑到床沿，大嚷特嚷：“壓歲錢，壓歲錢!”老人家還嫌不夠熱鬧，故作小氣，由討價(jià)還價(jià)到圍攻摸索，最后把老祖宗的紅包挖掘出來(lái)，大家搶掠一空，才呼嘯而散。老人家逢此情景卻樂(lè)不可支，認(rèn)為這是新年事事順利的好兆頭。過(guò)年給壓歲錢，體現(xiàn)出長(zhǎng)輩對(duì)晚輩的關(guān)愛(ài)，和晚輩對(duì)長(zhǎng)輩的尊敬，是一項(xiàng)整合家庭倫理關(guān)系的民俗活動(dòng)。
