　　My Classmate

　　Liu Kai is my classmate. He is a good student and always ready to help others.

　　One day on his way to school， he saw a little girl crossing the road. A car was coming towards her quickly and the girl was too frightened to move. The car nearly hit her. Just then LiuKai rushed up to her and caught her by the arm. The little girl was saved. She told him where she lived， and he took her home. When LiuKai hurried into the classroom， the teacher had already begun his lesson. He told the teacher why he was late. He was then praised for what he had done.

　　劉凱是我的同班同學(xué)。他是個好學(xué)生，總是樂于幫助別人。

　　有一天，在去學(xué)校的路上，他看見一個小女孩過馬路。汽車迅速地向她和女孩嚇壞了，搬來。那輛車差點撞到她。這時劉凱沖到她面前，抓住了她的胳膊。小女孩得救了。她告訴他住的地方，他帶她回家。當(dāng)劉凱急匆匆地趕到教室時，老師已經(jīng)開始上課了。他告訴老師他遲到的原因。然后他被譽為他做了什么。

　　How to Use the Dictionary? 怎樣使用詞典呢？

　　When you are reading something in English, you may often come across a new word. What's the best way to know it?

　　You may look it up in an English-Chinese Dictionary. It will tell you a lot about the word, the pronunciation, the part of speech, the Chinese meaning and also how to use this word. But how can you find it in the dictionai'y both quickly and correctly7 First, all the English words are arranged in the'alphabetical order. In the dictionary you can first see the words beginning with the letter A, then B, C, D, E,... That means, if there are two,words "desert" and "pull", "desert" will be certainly before "pull". Then if there are two words both beginning with the same letter, you may lo0k at the second letter. Then the third, the fourth, ... For example,"pardon" is before "plough", "judge" before "just",etc.

　　The dictionary will be your: good friend. I hope you'll use it as often as possible in your English learning.

　　I have many friends in my class. they're interesting and lovely. I would like to introduce some of them. Sue is very cute. she's also kind to everyone and she's very enthusiastic.

　　She's always ready to help everyone, but she is forgetful. she always forgets to bring her text books, but our teachers always forgive her. Ken is the most talkative boy in our class. his nickname is “chatterbox.” he has a great sense of humor and he always makes me laugh Lily is a quiet student.

　　It s almost the end of this term, so I have to prepare for the final exam. Chinese, math and English are the three subjects. I am not so good at math, so I must work hard. Every night, I spend little time on watching TV. Luckily, I don t have much homework and I have enough time to review. I hope I can do a good job in the exam.
