  三坊七巷地處市中心,東臨八一七北路,西靠通湖路,北接楊橋路,南達(dá)吉庇巷、光祿坊,占地約40公頃,現(xiàn)居民3678戶,人口14000余人。三坊七巷是南后街兩旁從北到南依次排列的十條坊巷的簡(jiǎn)稱。三坊是:衣錦坊、文儒坊、光祿坊;七巷是楊橋巷、郎官巷、塔巷、黃巷、安民巷、宮巷、吉庇巷。由于吉庇巷、楊橋巷和光祿坊改建為馬路,現(xiàn)在保存的實(shí)際只有二坊五巷。即使如此,在這個(gè)歷史悠久的居民區(qū)內(nèi),仍然保留著豐富的文物古跡,保存一批名人故居和明清時(shí)代的建筑。在這居民區(qū)內(nèi),坊巷縱橫,石板鋪地;白墻青瓦,結(jié)構(gòu)嚴(yán)謹(jǐn);房屋精致,匠藝奇巧,集中體現(xiàn)了閩越古城的民居特色,是閩江文化的薈萃之所,被建筑界喻為一座規(guī)模龐大的明清古建筑博物館。

  “三坊七巷”是國(guó)家歷史文化名城————福州的主要標(biāo)志,被譽(yù)為明清古建筑博物館。近代詩人陳衍詩云:“誰知五柳孤松客,卻住三坊七巷間。”這大約就是“三坊七巷”的由來。

  三坊七巷的民風(fēng)民俗也是福州民風(fēng)民俗的代表,許多節(jié)俗活動(dòng)中心常集中在三坊七巷,它包括民間信仰、歲時(shí)節(jié)慶活動(dòng)、建筑物中的民俗等。

  “月光光,照池塘;騎竹馬,過洪塘;洪塘水深難得渡,等妹撐船來接郎。問郎長(zhǎng),問郎短,問郎幾時(shí)返?”這是唐朝觀察使常袞作的一首民謠。它曾給居住在三坊七巷的幾代百姓帶來多少童年的回憶。直到現(xiàn)在,特別是老一輩人聽到這首瑯瑯上口的民謠仍激動(dòng)不已。

  三坊七巷的古建筑風(fēng)貌主要表現(xiàn)在:石板深巷,青瓦粉墻,各式精雕細(xì)刻的門罩,風(fēng)火墻式的多進(jìn)院落,從高處府視猶如海上層層波浪,那此起彼落的萬傾波濤既無比壯觀又震撼人心。

  三坊七巷不僅以她的古建筑聞名于世,她還代表了福州人重教育,好讀書的優(yōu)良傳統(tǒng),科舉之盛,在全國(guó)也屬罕見。南宋著名學(xué)者,被稱為與朱熹、張軾齊名的東南三賢之一的呂祖謙,在福州寫下了一首膾炙人口的詩篇:“路逢十客九青矜,半是同袍舊弟兄。最憶市橋燈火靜,巷南巷北讀書聲。”這首詩也是三坊七巷的生動(dòng)寫照,說明了福州讀書人之多,以及深夜苦讀的生動(dòng)景象。

  今天我們主要游覽的是現(xiàn)存的二坊五巷中的衣錦坊和郎官巷,請(qǐng)大家隨我來。衣錦坊舊名通潮巷,因?yàn)檫@個(gè)地方是水網(wǎng)地區(qū),西湖、南湖的潮水可以通到這個(gè)坊巷的溝渠里去。坊內(nèi)有人在外出仕做大官,后衣錦還鄉(xiāng)而改坊名。坊中16號(hào)為清嘉慶進(jìn)士鄭鵬程居宅,其中的水榭戲臺(tái)最具特色,這是一個(gè)木構(gòu)單層平臺(tái),四柱單開間,下建清水池塘,中隔天井,正面為閣樓。于此觀看戲劇演出,水清、風(fēng)清、音清,具有聲學(xué)原理和美學(xué)價(jià)值。接下來小陳要帶大家去郎官巷。郎官巷因宋劉濤居此,子孫數(shù)世皆為郎官,故名。宋代詩人陳烈、清代名人嚴(yán)復(fù)的故居也坐落巷內(nèi)。郎官巷西頭巷口立有牌坊,坊柱上有副對(duì)聯(lián):“譯著輝煌,今日猶傳嚴(yán)復(fù)宅;門庭鼎盛,后人遠(yuǎn)溯劉濤居。”

  大家再看看這朗官巷,朗官巷是宋代有名的坊埠,因宋代劉濤居住在此,子孫數(shù)代皆為朗官。故名叫朗官巷。

  你們瞧,這是宮巷里的沈葆楨故居。他于道光20xx年中舉人,過了七年中了進(jìn)士。他是林則徐的次婿,是清代第一任船政大臣。

  公元前220xx年,福州城初建時(shí),稱“冶城”,統(tǒng)治者是勾踐的后裔無諸。過了兩百多年,西晉時(shí)期的福州已經(jīng)稍有規(guī)模了。晉安郡首任太守嚴(yán)高嫌城太小,便在今屏山南麓建成一座郡城,稱為“子城”。 三坊七巷源于唐末閩王王審知擴(kuò)建新城。王審知當(dāng)政時(shí),嫌原有子城太小,在子城外以錢紋磚砌筑起“羅城”, 據(jù)說這是當(dāng)時(shí)全國(guó)唯一的磚城。羅城南面以安泰河為界,城北是政治中心,多為貴族居住;城之南為平民居住區(qū)及商業(yè)區(qū),也就是在此時(shí),三坊七巷成為羅城西南的重要區(qū)域,坊巷格局初步形成。
