There is a famous sentence spreads around the campus, it is “One will be agood student until he skips classes”. Actually, it is a common phenomenon thatcollege students will skip classes, such behavior has been criticized by thepublic, but now some students start to feel proud of that, they think they arecool with that. In my opinion, college students should not skip classes.

First, the main duty of college students is to study. Before going tocollege, we have been told that college is such a good place for learningknowledge, so that we work hard to go to college. If we skip classes, we willlose the chance to gain knowledge, the first purpose of going to college isbeing abandoned. College students are preparing for the future, they shouldlearn more, so that they can compete with others.

Second, the classes open in the college is less than before, if studentsskip classes, what else they can learn. Chinese students work very hard in themiddle school and high school, the lessons are full in a day, they have to learnso many subjects. But college is with less lessons, because they learn theirmajors only. Skipping classes means a student don’t want to learn.

College students should learn more for the fight of the future, all theclasses are useful, they will gain more or less from the class.

The elderly have accumulated a lifetime’s worth of experience. However, many young people often regard them as irrelevant, embarrassing, and out oftouch. As far as I am concerned, the traditional Chinese virtue to respect theold people needs to be emphasized.

Firstly, the elderly deserve the respect due to their effort in bringing uptheir children and their contribution to society. We should always bear in mindthat what we have and enjoy now was created by the aged people in the earlydays, as the old Chinese saying goes,” One generation plants trees under whoseshade another generation rests.” Secondly, family is one of the best places forlearning values, therefore, to set an example at home by taking good care of theelderly members, so that children learn to adopt this same practice. In thisway, families will exemplify the right values, and young members will learnfirst-hand on how to respect the elderly.

Perhaps the most important test of a society is the way individuals behavetowards one another. If young people do not respect the elderly; the whole ofsociety will be a mess without respect. Therefore, the elderly should berespected by all of us.

Contrary to the very popular belief that people who have suffered fromhardship in their lives have stronger personalities, some researchers claim thathardships can be very misleading. As far as I am concerned, hardships castnegative influences on people’s lives.

Firstly, people who suffered from troubled lives are easily misled. It’sfound that while some people may indeed become more “hard-nosed” throughadversity, the majority become less trusting of their own judgment. Itsurprisingly found that early negative experiences make people stronger in latelife. Furthermore, the people who had experienced an adverse childhood andadolescence were more likely to come to believe information that is not true. Those people were more suggestible, and easily misled which in turn could affecttheir future.

Secondly, hardships cause pain and misery to people. When faced withadversity, people can easily get pessimistic and depressed due to the distressand agony brought by hardships. Some families end up in divorce and somedepressed people even commit suicide or social crimes. This undoubtedly willbring about a series of problems to society at large.

In conclusion, hardships have direct adverse effects on both people’smentality and their perception of reality. Therefore, in my opinion, they areabsolutely not necessary in life.

Since students go to school, they have to obey the school rules. Mostschools give the students the order that they must do morning exercise together.I have been forced to do this for many years, as for me, I hate it, but I haveto admit that doing morning exercise makes me stronger.

For many students, of course they hate to do morning exercise together, theschool rules force them get up in the early morning, making them not sleepenough. At the same time, students will lack of independence, they get used todoing things by someone forcing them, when they leave school, without teachers’supervisor, they become lazy.

While students hate to do morning exercise, they have to admit that itbrings them goodness, doing morning exercise for a long time can make theirbodies healthy. Let’s see this, the ones who takes exercise is not easy to catchcold than the one who doesn’t take exercise. Only when students are equippedwith sound bodies, they can work better.

Morning exercise is hated by students, but the fact is that students shouldtake more exercise, they should keep it as their habits.
