Hello everyone.Today I'm glad to be here to give a speech about my fresh experience in China Agriculture University.

First I must say the campus life is really different from what I have experienced in high school. For instance,I used to lean upon my dormitory teacher to wake me up on time. But now I have to set several alarm clocks to make myself could hear them in the morning.otherwise,I would miss my class.

And then even worse there would be nobody remind me except my teacher! So the differences are everywhere and I could easily find them.

The change of life is great and it's wonderful:I have more time of my own and the rights to decide how I live.

My campus activities are rich and colorful.Learning English has become a habit to me cause I plan to study abroad in next few years.Playing Guzheng is my favorite activity.I have kept on practising it since I was a little girl and I wish to win more competitions in my campus life.

Our university has the first level equipments and the most experienced teachers, also has the best students(laugh).I consider it to be a honor that I've got a chance to study here and I sincerely hope that we could live wonderful lives in our campus!

In China, almost every family has TV set in their house. Television has made great contribution to people’s daily lives and children’s education. Some people even think that television is one of the greatest inventions in the world.

But there is a good side and a bad side to everything and that includes the television.

On one hand, TV is a powerful educational tool that through it people know what is happening in the rest of the world. Because of television, people begin to understand different cultures and current affairs.

They know about the things they never knew before, they create their own opinions and form their sense of worth. The TV opens a brand-new door for them to explore the things they want to know. Many people may go traveling due to watch the beautiful scenes in TV.

On the other hand, some people may find them addicted to television, especially the young people.

They spend most of their free time watching TV programs instead of playing outside with their peers.

In this case, the children may lack of the ability of communicate effectively with others.

TV makes them isolated. What’ more, sometimes the TV programs may contain se-xual scenes or bloody scenes that not suitable for children to watch.

This will cause negative effects on them.

To sum up, I think television has both advantages and disadvantages, people should find a balance between it. Make the most use of it, don’t be the salves of it.

  Good afternoon,everybody!

I think most of us must have been nervous before or during an exam.

Many people think that proper nervousness has its own advantages. For example,it can help athletes perform well in sports events. In the same way, nervousness can activate our mind and help us get good grades.

As a popular saying goes, every coin has two sides.Being too nervous can result in sleeplessness, which does harm to our health. What's more,it may make our brain upside down, which increases our mistakes in exams.Worst of all,we may be too nervous to write down any answers.

In my opinion, several methods can be used to slove the problem above.Firstly,we should study hard, which will make us more confident.Secondly,it is useful to breathe deeply before exams to calm down.

That's all, thank you for your listening.

Da Ma have made the square dance popular, when we go out at night, we may find them dance everywhere. I think square dance is a good way for people to get exercise, they can keep fit.

Love the Earth, caring for nature

I love the earth, love the home we live. Love her mountains, the fields are green and blue sky ... love her ...

In the fieldwork fragrance in flowers, butterflies and I play with a smile; in the lush forest, with birds I chase, singing; morning, I walked lightweight walking to the fields on the outing, mist shrouded with white yarn-like softly floating in the air. Suck in the flowers of aromatic, Yan enjoy the sun bathing, I was drunk inside this dream intoxicated; night, I sat in the fragrance of rice farmers in a small courtyard, looking up at bright stars, listening to cicadas Liao ring, frogs waves, feel like being in a fairy-tale kingdom. Spring, I sat in the back of cattle, in the endless prairie, Listen to the pastoral mild

Reed pipe melodious. Summer, I sat in the boat, oars beat any TV drama green lake, watching seagulls passing light to the vast lake; fall, I stood under the tree, and

concentrated look forward to a felled TV drama golden leaves fall; winter I stood by the window, admiring Ruxu snow flying in the air dancing. In this picturesque paradise, my heart is drunk through it!

Once upon a time, people Indiscriminate felling of trees, so that the ecological balance of nature destroyed. Swallowed a boundless expanse of fertile land dune, floods washed away a lovely home, nature's revenge for the human embarrassing burst. Mei Mizutani once said, there is no natural, no human beings, this is a big world, simple truth. Indulge in predatory nature, conquering nature, will destroy the ecosystem, only themselves to blame the plight of mankind brink. This is, indeed, indeed, the people do not stay to face natural, natural course, will not give burning our bridges, 98 floods, dust storms in 20xx, in fact, this is nature's warning to humanity.

Once upon a time, arbitrary arrest people indiscriminately kill so brutally trampled on

human friend. "A thousand mountains bird flew absolutely, 10,000 people disappeared off track", which is on the killing of animals, the most realistic portrayal of the consequences. Students injuries from bear incident to fool their wild hunting, whether human beings will make themselves at gunpoint? Remember that animal protection is equivalent to protect ourselves.

Once upon a time, the outbreak of war, so that devastated the planet we live. Fire on vegetation damage, destruction of nuclear radiation on life, despite the Hiroshima and Nagasaki mushroom cloud has been dispersed over a half a century, can there still is barren. This shows that peace is an important prerequisite for environmental protection of all mankind.

I can not imagine, if we continue like this, the world would be a kind of miserable scene it? Floor grass, dust filled the sky, mankind will be the screams of the devil into piles of bones. Then we can only say that human beings had once belonged to the Earth, but Earth will never again belong to mankind.

Gu has said that the world rise and fall of every man's duty. Protection of the environment and maintaining ecological balance of the historical responsibility to fall on the shoulders of our cross-century generation. Let us all come to love nature, love the earth bar, hand in

hand, shoulder to shoulder, heart to heart to set up an environmental protection of the embankment, the defense resources, defense of the environment, defend the Earth, to defend our beautiful homeland it!

She is experiened of English teaching. She teaches me for three the other word, she is the only English teacher during my high school study. She is special.

She will show an English song to us before her class. A few days later, she will ask us to follow the singing on the tape. I can still remember some songs she taught us.

It is strang that she looks so weak, but no one in my class will against her word. I think maybe is because her own yone respects her. She is serious in work, so that our whole class’s English is good. Happily, she is our friend after class. She always palys badminton with us.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,

I am Chinese. I am proud of being a Chinese with five thousand years of civilization behind. I've learned about the four great inventions made by our forefathers. I've learned about the Great Wall and the Yangtze River. I've learned about Zhang Heng( 張衡 )and I've learned about Zheng He( 鄭和 ) . Who says the Yellow River Civilization has vanished( 消失 ) ? I know that my ancestors have made miracles( 奇跡 )on this fertile land and we're still making miracles.

Who can ignore the fact that we have established ourselves as a great state in the world, that we have devised our own nuclear weapons, that we have successfully sent our satellites into space, and that our GNP ranks No. 7 in the world? We have experienced the plunders ( 掠奪 ) by other nations, and we have experienced the war. Yet, based on such ruins, there still stands our nation----China, unyielding and unconquerable!

I once came across an American tourist. She said, “China has a history of five thousand years, but the US only has a history of 200 years. Five thousand years ago, China took the lead in the world, and now it is the US that is leading.”My heart was deeply touched by these words. It is true that we're still a developing nation, but it doesn't mean that we can despise ( 鄙視 ) ourselves. We have such a long-standing history, we have such abundant resources, we have such intelligent and diligent people, and we have enough to be proud of. We have reasons to say proudly : we are sure to take the lead in the world in the future again, for our problems are big, but our ambition ( 雄心 ) is even bigger, our challenges ( 挑戰(zhàn) ) are great, but our will is even greater.

I am Chinese. I have inherited ( 繼承 ) black hair and black eyes. I have inherited the virtues of my ancestors. I have also taken over responsibility. I am sure, that wherever I go, whatever I do, I shall never forget that I am Chinese!

  I love you, China

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, I’m very glad to make a speech here. Today my topic is “I love you, China.”

Since the day I was born, I began to have a proud name—Chinese. Since the day I began to talk, the most beautiful sentence I’ve ever learnt has been “I love you, China!”

I love you, China, and I’m so proud of being a Chinese. I’m proud that I’ve got the beautiful yellow skin, black eyes and black hair. I’m also proud that I speak the most beautiful language in the world—Chinese.

I love you, China, for I can feel the deep love you give me every day, every minute. Last year, I got an opportunity to visit the United States of America. During my staying there, my father’s boss once invited my family to dinner. While at table, he looked at me and asked: “Little boy, how long have you been in America?” “About a month,” I answered, “How lucky you are!” he said, “If you were living in China, how could you learn such perfect English?” I smiled and told him proudly that all the students in China are able to learn English at school. I saw his surprised eyes and said to myself, “I’m proud of you, China. For you are offering us the best education.”

When I came back from the USA, my friends asked me: “How do you feel about your staying there?”“Wonderful” I said. “Then why do you come back?” Hearing this, I told them there were lots of beautiful countries in the world, but none of them can compare with our own country—China. How true the saying is: “There’s no place like home!”

I love you, China. As a young student, all we should do is to study hard and devote ourselves whole-heartedly in the future, to the great cause of building you into an even stronger and greater country in the world. I love you, my dear motherland! I love you, China!

Thank you for your listening !

but now here's where the bias comes in. our most important institutions, our schools and our workplaces, they are designed mostly for extroverts and for extroverts' need for lots of stimulation. and also we have this belief system right now that i call the new groupthink, which holds that all creativity and all productivity comes from a very oddly gregarious place.

so if you picture the typical classroom nowadays: when i was going to school, we sat in rows. we sat in rows of desks like this, and we did most of our work pretty autonomously. but nowadays, your typical classroom has pods of desks -- four or five or six or seven kids all facing each other. and kids are working in countless group assignments. even in subjects like math and creative writing, which you think would depend on solo flights of thought, kids are now expected to act as committee members. and for the kids who prefer to go off by themselves or just to work alone, those kids are seen as outliers often or, worse, as problem cases. and the vast majority of teachers reports believing that the ideal student is an extrovert as opposed to an introvert, even though introverts actually get better grades and are more knowledgeable, according to research. (laughter)

The family is one of the best things in the world, it is spring, moistensdry up your mind, it is light, light the way forward for me, it is a cup of tea, warm me.

If nature is used to describe the family, the love is the sun in thewinter, it's warm. No matter you are what kind of injustice, the family will notlaugh at you, it will comfort you, when you meet with difficulties, it willimmediately give you hope and the power, let you solved.

The final exam approaching, nature is a tension, teacher than a studentstill nervous. The most obvious evidence, homework more.

Recently, English became my sorrow. Recite the text is my nightmare. Thenight, the wind has not respected bone, I stay up late to work overtime tobecome commonplace.

Back home, first thing is to review. As time goes by, the window is atnight, when others are fast asleep, lang lang came home, national who issurprised, remembered that is yourself. Father woke up, sleepy, fear to say:"the child hard, go to bed early." I nodded slightly, but let me have morepower.

The family is warm in the winter the sun, you warm me, you gave meunlimited power and hope. You are my life the fine night, the lowest in mylife.

  Ladies and Gentlemen, Good morning!

The title of my speech today is "the joy of growth".

On the road of life, everyone can find their own happiness. Do your best to enrich and improve yourself. Like students, campus is his joy; Because of social arrangements, the scope of student activities is reduced only. But no one would argue, because a person's student days are good -- happy -- full of hope...

I am now a childhood, a young adult. Although my life has just begun, but my heartfelt thanks to growth, is that he brought me happiness, is he let me gradually maturing, but he gave me the journey brings a lot of oasis and the ocean.

Remember, in primary school I was a naive romantic, lively and lovely girl. It was not natural to come to school because of the bad habit at home, and it was repulsive; But because of my natural disposition, it didn't take long to get used to it. But the old problem was solved, and the new problem came again. I began to question everything about the school. For example: why did the teacher teach me and I didn't teach them? Why does the bell ring when I have class? Why does the teacher make what, do what? These questions are always moving around in my mind... A long time cannot be waved away. When I got up the courage to ask the teacher, I got a sneer. When I ask about the most trusted mom, I get the "silly child, you are really boring". While I was holding my breath, my father came back. I had no hope, and with the possibility of criticism, I told him what I thought and what I was rejected... TO MY SURPRISE dad answered MY question. It was also a kind of "natural law", I was very happy that day, for my FATHER AND SOLVE PROPLEM.

Look at all the trouble and how much criticism and silly kids have been given to me. But I don't really feel that way. I'm happy and proud. I have already explained why.

I graduated from primary school and entered high school. Happiness did not decrease, but increased. For example: friendship tug of war, oral English class, students get together to chat and so on... This makes our heavy learning task much easier. I found that in the middle school garden, extra happy, I don't know why? Anyway, there is a kind of motivation that makes me work hard and soar in my own world like a bird.

Yeah! The lovely campus life has brought me great joy, both in the classroom and in the playground, which is full of our vitality. More importantly, I have gained a lot of my own oasis and ocean.

Indeed, growth is fun. It's a little unfortunate, but every time it's better, it's fun. May we thrive in this joy and be a useful free man in the future!

And it was one of the highlights of my time here at Berklee, so being here on stage is really unreal. Walking around on campus today was a testament to how far Berklee's come in the last 16 years. It is beautiful, the campus, the facilities. I was walking by the MP&E, the studios, the equipment, the fitness center. We didn't have any of these stuffs. So I guess you guys have been doing a pretty good job. So thank you, and congratulations to that. What a time for the East and West in music, in pop culture.

All of you, music lovers, future musicians, future professional musicians on the stage, and like what Roger just said, it's so important for us to be ambassadors, to be that bridge, to be ambassadors of peace, and breaking down the walls, bringing people together. Last night ... this is an issue that's so close in my heart, because last night in Los Angeles, my dear friend Jackie Chan was the first person ... first Chinese actor ever to win an Oscar, last night! I just want to thank all of you for being here, that's why we make music, is to connect with people.

I've never written a song without loving it myself. So for all of you musicians, always follow your heart and always do what you love. I've definitely ... you know ... never convince yourself that what other people are telling you to do is right if you don't feel like it's right in your heart. As a musician, it just doesn't work.

So work like a bull, I guess ... and always have fun. And all the accolades don't mean anything without your friends and your family to share with. So Thank You to them as well for being here together, and always.

  chinese traditional festivals

as we know, we have lots of festivals, such as spring festival(春節(jié)), lantern festival(元宵節(jié)), tomb-sweeping day(清明節(jié)), dragon boat festival(端午節(jié)), mid-autumn (moon)festival(中秋節(jié)), double-ninth day(重陽(yáng)節(jié)), new year's eve(除夕)and so on.

as for me, i likenew year's eve the most, because only in that daycan itake a party forall of my friends. we talk with each other sincerely, and we drink heartily(盡情地)。i enjoy this process very much。

between chinese traditional festivals and western festivals, i prefer the the former. because chinese festivals contain our traditional culture, we must inherit and develop(繼承和發(fā)展) it.

recently, more and more chinese would rather to celebrate the foreign festivals, such as christmas day, easter(復(fù)活節(jié)),thanksgiving(感恩節(jié)),saint valentine's day(情人節(jié)),halloween(萬(wàn)圣節(jié))and so on .

i think christmas day would not replace our spring festival. because spring festival is our culture and era of faith(信仰).

in order to protect and develop our traditional festivals, i think

government should take more steps todraw people’s attention. for example, give people more vacation in traditional festivals and pay attention to traditional culture education

Ladies and Gentlemen: My topic is Honesty. As a correspondent of the Qingdao Morning News, I visited Dr. James Gilman, the President of the International Committee for Marco Polo Studies in England. In this picture, this is James, and this is me and we are looking at a dragon’s tooth. This is a true story. /chuzhong/chusan/ 65 years ago, James lived in Qingdao. Then he was only 5 years old. He often visited the Aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there, which he thought was a dragon. He was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure. In the late 1930s, when the Japanese occupied Qingdao, his family had to leave. On his last day in Qingdao, he ran to the Aquarium and pulled out one of the teeth from the dragon’s mouth. He kept the tooth for the next 65 years, but the feeling of guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through his life. It was always on his conscience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. Finally he decided to put right his childish error. In 20xx, he visited Qingdao and returned it to the Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm welcome. When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit. I was deeply touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I think to err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error. Honesty is a vital quality of human behaviour. So we should try to keep an honest mind in everything we say and do. I would like to say to all of my friends: Let’s be honest people of good moral character. Thank you.

  Dear teachers and students,

Good morning, everyone! The topic of my speech today is "campus safety with me".

Campus safety is closely related to each of our teachers and students. It is related to the healthy growth of students; It also concerns whether our teachers can teach and educate in a safe environment. Therefore, we must clearly realize that "safety is no trivial matter" and "hidden danger is an accident" should always be kept in mind.

In order to further improve the safety education of our school, combined with the safety week education activities, the following requirements are put forward:

  1. Don't chase and fight with each other in the school, don't crowd up and down the stairs, pay attention to comity, keep right and walk slowly. It is strictly forbidden to slide or run down the handrail of stairs.

  2. Develop hygiene habits since childhood, wash hands before and after meals, and do not go to unlicensed vendors to buy unclean snacks and other food of unknown origin.

  3. Physical education should be prepared to prevent physical strain. Students who have some physical diseases must report to the head teacher in advance to prevent accidents during physical education or other strenuous exercise.

  4. Learn the common sense of using electricity, do not use hard objects to contact the power supply, and do not use a part of the human body to contact the power supply, in order to prevent electric shock. Don't plug in the power without permission, especially don't plug in the power plug with wet hands. Don't wipe the switch with a wet cloth.

Teachers and students, let's work together to create a safe campus. Let's wish together under the national flag, wish us every day safe and happy, wish our campus really become a safe harbor for all teachers and students, a harmonious home!

My speech is over, thank you!

People returning to work after a career break: I call them relaunchers. These are people who have taken career breaks for elder care, for childcare reasons, pursuing a personal interest or a personal health issue. Closely related are career transitioners of all kinds: veterans, military spouses, retirees coming out of retirement or repatriating expats. Returning to work after a career break is hard because of a disconnect between the employers and the relaunchers. Employers can view hiring people with a gap on their resume as a high-risk proposition, and individuals on career break can have doubts about their abilities to relaunch their careers, especially if they've been out for a long time. This disconnect is a problem that I'm trying to help solve.

Now, successful relaunchers are everywhere and in every field. This is Sami Kafala. He's a nuclear physicist in the UK who took a five-year career break to be home with his five children. The Singapore press recently wrote about nurses returning to work after long career breaks. And speaking of long career breaks, this is Mimi Kahn. She's a social worker in Orange County, California, who returned to work in a social services organization after a 25-year career break. That's the longest career break that I'm aware of. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor took a five-year career break early in her career.

  如今,我們?cè)诟餍懈鳂I(yè) 都能見到成功的再?gòu)臉I(yè)者。

And this is Tracy Shapiro, who took a 13-year career break. Tracy answered a call for essays by the Today Show from people who were trying to return to work but having a difficult time of it. Tracy wrote in that she was a mom of five who loved her time at home, but she had gone through a divorce and needed to return to work, plus she really wanted to bring work back into her life because she loved working. Tracy was doing what so many of us do when we feel like we've put in a good day in the job search. She was looking for a finance or accounting role, and she had just spent the last nine months very diligently researching companies online and applying for jobs with no results.

I met Tracy in June of 20xx, when the Today Show asked me if I could work with her to see if I could help her turn things around. The first thing I told Tracy was she had to get out of the house. I told her she had to go public with her job search and tell everyone she knew about her interest in returning to work. I also told her, "You are going to have a lot of conversations that don't go anywhere. Expect that, and don't be discouraged by it. There will be a handful that ultimately lead to a job opportunity."

I'll tell you what happened with Tracy in a little bit, but I want to share with you a discovery that I made when I was returning to work after my own career break of 11 years out of the full-time workforce. And that is, that people's view of you is frozen in time. What I mean by this is, when you start to get in touch with people and you get back in touch with those people from the past, the people with whom you worked or went to school, they are going to remember you as you were before your career break. And that's even if your sense of self has diminished over time, as happens with so many of us the farther removed we are from our professional identities. So for example, you might think of yourself as someone who looks like this. This is me, crazy after a day of driving around in my minivan. Or here I am in the kitchen. But those people from the past, they don't know about any of this. They only remember you as you were, and it's a great confidence boost to be back in touch with these people and hear their enthusiasm about your interest in returning to work.

There's one more thing I remember vividly from my own career break. And that was that I hardly kept up with the business news. My background is in finance, and I hardly kept up with any news when I was home caring for my four young children. So I was afraid I'd go into an interview and start talking about a company that didn't exist anymore. So I had to resubscribe to the Wall Street Journal and read it for a good six months cover to cover before I felt like I had a handle on what was going on in the business world again.

I believe relaunchers are a gem of the workforce, and here's why. Think about our life stage: for those of us who took career breaks for childcare reasons, we have fewer or no maternity leaves. We did that already. We have fewer spousal or partner job relocations. We're in a more settled time of life. We have great work experience. We have a more mature perspective. We're not trying to find ourselves at an employer's expense. Plus we have an energy, an enthusiasm about returning to work precisely because we've been away from it for a while.

On the flip side, I speak with employers, and here are two concerns that employers have about hiring relaunchers.

The first one is, employers are worried that relaunchers are technologically obsolete. Now, I can tell you, having been technologically obsolete myself at one point, that it's a temporary condition. I had done my financial analysis so long ago that I used Lotus 1-2-3. I don't know if anyone can even remember back that far, but I had to relearn it on Excel. It actually wasn't that hard. A lot of the commands are the same. I found PowerPoint much more challenging, but now I use PowerPoint all the time. I tell relaunchers that employers expect them to come to the table with a working knowledge of basic office management software. And if they're not up to speed, then it's their responsibility to get there. And they do.

The second area of concern that employers have about relaunchers is they're worried that relaunchers don't know what they want to do. I tell relaunchers that they need to do the hard work to figure out whether their interests and skills have changed or have not changed while they have been on career break. That's not the employer's job. It's the relauncher's responsibility to demonstrate to the employer where they can add the most value.

Back in 20xx I started noticing something. I had been tracking return to work programs since 20xx, and in 20xx, I started noticing the use of a short-term paid work opportunity, whether it was called an internship or not, but an internship-like experience, as a way for professionals to return to work. I saw Goldman Sachs and Sara Lee start corporate reentry internship programs. I saw a returning engineer, a nontraditional reentry candidate, apply for an entry-level internship program in the military, and then get a permanent job afterward. I saw two universities integrate internships into mid-career executive education programs.

So I wrote a report about what I was seeing, and it became this article for Harvard Business Review called "The 40-Year-Old Intern." I have to thank the editors there for that title, and also for this artwork where you can see the 40-year-old intern in the midst of all the college interns. And then, courtesy of Fox Business News, they called the concept "The 50-Year-Old Intern."

So five of the biggest financial services companies have reentry internship programs for returning finance professionals. And at this point, hundreds of people have participated. These internships are paid, and the people who move on to permanent roles are commanding competitive salaries. And now, seven of the biggest engineering companies are piloting reentry internship programs for returning engineers as part of an initiative with the Society of Women Engineers. Now, why are companies embracing the reentry internship? Because the internship allows the employer to base their hiring decision on an actual work sample instead of a series of interviews, and the employer does not have to make that permanent hiring decision until the internship period is over. This testing out period removes the perceived risk that some managers attach to hiring relaunchers, and they are attracting excellent candidates who are turning into great hires.

Think about how far we have come. Before this, most employers were not interested in engaging with relaunchers at all. But now, not only are programs being developed specifically with relaunchers in mind, but you can't even apply for these programs unless you have a gap on your résumé.

This is the mark of real change, of true institutional shift, because if we can solve this problem for relaunchers, we can solve it for other career transitioners too. In fact, an employer just told me that their veterans return to work program is based on their reentry internship program. And there's no reason why there can't be a retiree internship program. Different pool, same concept.

So let me tell you what happened with Tracy Shapiro. Remember that she had to tell everyone she knew about her interest in returning to work. Well, one critical conversation with another parent in her community led to a job offer for Tracy, and it was an accounting job in a finance department. But it was a temp job. The company told her there was a possibility it could turn into something more, but no guarantees. This was in the fall of 20xx. Tracy loved this company, and she loved the people and the office was less than 10 minutes from her house. So even though she had a second job offer at another company for a permanent full-time role, she decided to take her chances with this internship and hope for the best. Well, she ended up blowing away all of their expectations, and the company not only made her a permanent offer at the beginning of 20xx, but they made it even more interesting and challenging, because they knew what Tracy could handle.

Fast forward to 20xx, Tracy's been promoted. They've paid for her to get her MBA at night. She's even hired another relauncher to work for her. Tracy's temp job was a tryout, just like an internship, and it ended up being a win for both Tracy and her employer.

Now, my goal is to bring the reentry internship concept to more and more employers. But in the meantime, if you are returning to work after a career break, don't hesitate to suggest an internship or an internship-like arrangement to an employer that does not have a formal reentry internship program. Be their first success story, and you can be the example for more relaunchers to come.

  Thank you.

good morning, dear teacher and my friends.

it’s a very intresting topic today.

i think my dad was a hero for me when i was a young child. we'd go fishing, walks, and other fun things for a kid.

every child has a good and great father, and so do i. my dad played a very important role in my daily life`````exactly speaking, in my past 16 years.

my father always stands in the center of my life, from past till now and possibly in the future.

my family was rather poor when i was in my childhood. we didn't have our own house and had to live in a shabby, small room rented from my father's factory. the room was so small that there was little space for people to walk. i didn't have my own bed and had to sleep with my parents. this is terrible both for my parents and me.

but father made this all different!he works very hard on his own business, now we have our own 2 housese, surly,i have my own room.and he take our family so much happiness, richer and richer.

when i was little, i did everything with my dad. you could always find me sitting on his knee or walking and doing everything with him. every night he would read me a bed time story and make the voices of each character.

i learnt a lot from my daddy. i learnt to never take things to seriously and to always smile.

like many other fathers, my dad and i also has generation gap. he is not good at or even can’t work the computer. so when i sitting at the computer desk,he will say something like ‘you should pay more attention to your study’, ‘don’t waste time on the computer games’ , ‘it will be bad for your eyes’ and so on. how can i- a computer fan – reduce time on computer? so i continue studying and playing on it

years pasted, my father is over 45 now. it is time for me to look after him and i am sure i will do and we will live an even better life. and i will say,i really love you dad, cause you are the hero in my mind.

  thank you so much!

Over the past couple of years, several cases of the food scandal have been disclosed on various media。 The problem of food security has bee a hot button across society。 The prevalence of food insecurity has greatly impacted public health, which the government could not afford to ignore, according to the online edition of the People Daily。 -

There are a couple of driving forces, I would argue, behind this undesirable tide。 First, in the course of the rapid economic evolution, we ignore moral education, giving rise to the rising rate of the problem。 More importantly, the lack of adequate regulation and punishment on those illegal producers enforces the trend。 -

As Confucius instructed, it is better late than never。 Prompt and strict measures should be taken to turn back this evil trend。 The government should launch a massive moral campaign to educate all citizens and draw up tougher laws to crack down on those irresponsible corporations and prohibit them from entering the food industry again。 I am firmly convinced that through our bined efforts we are bound to enjoy more risk-free foods in the days ahead。-

A man was going to the house of some rich person. As he went along the road, he saw a box of good apples at the side of the road. He said, "I do not want to eat those apples; for the rich man will give me much food; he will give me very nice food to eat."

Then he took the apples and threw them away into the dust. He went on and came to a river. The river had become very big; so he could not go over it. He waited for some time; then he said, "I cannot go to the rich man's house today, for I cannot get over the river." He began to go home. He had eaten no food that day. He began to want food.

He came to the apples, and he was glad to take them out of the dust and eat them. Do not throw good things away; you may be glad to have them at some other time.

First of all, I want to thank you all for coming to this party. I have thrown this party, because I wanted to thank you all for being kind to me while I have been here. Looking back, it seems like a very short five years living here and working together with you. My wife and I still remember the first day we arrived in Los Angeles, and every thing looked so huge, compared with things in Taipei. The first several months were a difficult time, but we tried very hard to adapt ourselves to the new environment, new life style, and a new place of work. There were times of disappointment, anger, and humiliation, and there were also times of joy, excitement, and happiness, Through them all, you have always been with us to share the sorrow and happiness, and we are deeply grateful to you for that. Millions of thanks to you all, and don't forget to finish your dinner before it gets cold.

Maybe I can not be like the other students on edge as the Edge Reading. But my parents understood my idea, I am willing to fully support the school.

Ladies and Gentlemen , Good afternoon! I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is “youth”. I hope you will like it , and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.

First I want to ask you some questions:

1、 Do you know what is youth?

2、 How do you master your youth?

  Youth

Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .

Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

  Thank you!

I believe it is in my nature to dance by virtue of the beat of my heart, the pulse of my blood and the music in my mind. So I dance daily.

The seldom-used dining room of my house is now an often-used ballroom — anopen space with a hardwood floor, stereo, and a disco ball. The CD-changer hassix discs at the ready: waltz, swing, country, rock-and-roll, salsa, andtango.

Each morning when I walk through the house on the way to make coffee, Iturn on the music, hit the "shuffle" button, and it's Dance Time! I dance aloneto whatever is playing. It's a form of existential aerobics, a movingmeditation.

Tango is a recent enthusiasm. It's a complex and difficult dance, so I'm upto three lessons a week, three nights out dancing, and I'm off to Buenos Airesfor three months of immersion in tango culture.

The first time I went tango dancing I was too intimidated to get out on thefloor. I remembered another time I had stayed on the sidelines, when the dancingbegan after a village wedding on the Greek island of Crete. The fancy footworkconfused me. "Don't make a fool of yourself," I thought. "Just watch."

Reading my mind, an older woman dropped out of the dance, sat down besideme, and said, "If you join the dancing, you will feel foolish. If you do not,you will also feel foolish. So, why not dance?"

And, she said she had a secret for me. She whispered, "If you do not dance,we will know you are a fool. But if you dance, we will think well of you fortrying."

Recalling her wise words, I took up the challenge of tango.

A friend asked me if my tango-mania wasn't a little ambitious. "Tango? Atyour age? You must be out of your mind!"

On the contrary: It's a deeply pondered decision. My passion for tangodisguises a fearfulness. I fear the shrinking of life that goes with aging. Ifear the boredom that comes with not learning and not taking chances. I fear thedying that goes on inside you when you leave the game of life to wait in thefinal checkout line.

I seek the sharp, scary pleasure that comes from beginning something new —that calls on all my resources and challenges my mind, my body, and my spirit, all at once.

My goal now is to dance all the dances as long as I can, and then to sitdown contented after the last elegant tango some sweet night and pass on becausethere wasn't another dance left in me.

So, when people say, "Tango? At your age? Have lost your mind?" I answer,"No, and I don't intend to."

Hello, everybody !it is my great honor to be here to share my idea with you .Today,I will talk something about DREAM——A word that has changed the world .

“What do you think is the word that has really changed our world ”

When I was asked about this question for the first time ,without thinking it too much ,a word flash into my mind ——DREAM ,D-R-E-A-M.People more or less dream about different things ,to be a teacher ,a doctor ,a scientist ,a businessman and so on .All these people who have dreams should be respected ,because Dreams make the world go around .We grow great by our dreams. All big men are great dreamers in their youth.Everyone has a dream ,and everything starts as one’s daydream.

Martin Luther king had a dream. He desired for a future where blacks and whites would coexist harmoniously as equals.By speaking the way he did,he educated,he inspired,he informed not just the people there, but people throughout America and unborn generations. He pushed forward the pace of American black society towards the racial equality .

Thomas Edison had a dream. He dreamed of a lamp that could be operated by electricity, began where he stood to put his dream into action, and despite more than ten thousand failures,he stood by that dream until he made it a physical reality! And today, his dream lights up the world at night.

Walt Disney had a dream. This,in itself, wasn't unusual -- he was always dreaming. He dreamed of making the first animated feature film, and of building an amusement park that parents could enjoy right along with their kids.Walt Disney empowered his dream and today,Disneyland,Disney world and Disney theme parks attract around the world thrill millions of visitors each and every year.

John F.kennedy had a dream. He wanted to land a man on the moon and return him safely to earth so as to restore faith in the American way of life.John F.kennedy empowered his dream and 8 years later Neil Armstrong stepped on the face of the moon. The moon landing certainly gave Americans new found confidence.

Dream --- A word that has changed the world Yes ,I would say so ,wouldn’t you

Youth is a special life relay station ,the growth with the worry ,the life feeling become aware happily with the dream ,collected a unique youth melody in here .

We decide. We choose. And as we decide and choose,so are our lives formed. In the end, forming our own destiny is what ambition is about. And most importantly ,You are the one you choose to be.

It is easy to waste our lives ,our days ,our minutes .It is easy to exist than living .So hold fast to your dreams,For if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird,That cannot fly.Hold fast to your dreams,For when dreams go,life is a barren field,Frozen with snow.
