Once man did not have to think about the protection of his environment。There were few people on the earth， and natural resources seemed to beunlimited。Today things are different。 The world has bee too crowded。 We areusing up our natural resources，and polluting our environment with dangerouschemicals。 If we continue to do this， human life on earth will not survive。 Werealize that if too many fish are taken from the sea， there will soon be noneleft。 Yet，with modern fishing methods， more and more fish are caught。We knowthat if too many trees are cut down， forests will disappear。 Yet， we continue touse powerful machines to cut down more and more trees。 We see that if rivers arepolluted with waste products， we will die。 Yet， waste products are still putinto rivers。

We know that if the population continues to rise at the present rate， in afew years， there won't be enough food。What can we do to solve these problems?Ifwe eat more vegetables and less meat， there will be more food available。 Landfor crops feeds five times more people than land where animals are kept。Ournatural resources will last longer if we learn to recycie them。The worldpopulation will not rise so quickly if people use modern methods of birthcontrol。
我們明白，人口繼續(xù)照此刻這個(gè)速度增長(zhǎng)的話，不出幾年，就會(huì)發(fā)生食物短缺。我們?cè)撊绾谓鉀Q這些問(wèn)題呢?如果我們多吃蔬菜，少吃肉類的話，我們就會(huì)有更多的食物。因?yàn)橥瑯哟笮〉耐恋厝绻N莊稼的話會(huì)比養(yǎng)殖動(dòng)物多養(yǎng)活五倍多的人。如果我們學(xué)會(huì)再利用的話，自然資源就能持續(xù)更久。如果人們使用現(xiàn)代化的生育控制方法，世界人口就不會(huì)增長(zhǎng)如此迅猛。

As you know, there are four kinds of pollution. They are air pollution,water pollution, waste pollution and noise pollution. But what can we do tosolve the pollution? I think, firstly, we can make cars that don’t pollute theenvironment. We can ask companies to use modern clean technology. In some bigcities, we can limit the number of cars. Secondly, we can try to use less waterand make sure that we do not pollute the water. We can tell factories that theyare not allowed to pour waste water into the lakes and rivers. Thirdly, weshould not throw rubbish in parks and cities. We can pick up rubbish if we seeit. We can put more rubbish bins in our parks and cities. Fourthly, we can livefar from the noise and make the laws to limit the noise.
The air, water and the whole atmosphere directly influenced our lives, suchas the air, people may cough and it will lead to cancer. So we must try our bestto keep the world clean and tidy. To reach it, I want to put forward threepoints to everybody---Point 1: don’t spit and liter; Point 2: don’t draw on thewall; Point 3: clean the streets every day.
In order to make the environment clean, let’s join our hands together tomake the world better.

As we all know, water is essential in our daily life. We drink water everyday, we use water to wash things and cook food, we also use water to makemachines. People can't live without water.
Though about 75% of the earth is covered with water, only 3% of it is freshwater. So we must save water by having a shower instead of a bath. We can savewater by fixing dripping taps immediately and we can also save water by notwashing under a running tap.

我們都知道水對(duì)于日常生活的重要性。我們每天喝水，用水洗東西和烹制食物，我們還用水來(lái)制造機(jī)器。離開水，人類就無(wú)法存活。
雖然地球75%都被水覆蓋，但其中只有3%是淡水。所以我們應(yīng)該用淋浴代替泡澡來(lái)節(jié)約水，同時(shí)及時(shí)修好滴水的水龍頭，并且不要開著水龍頭洗東西。
