We Are The World ,We Are The Future
Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. I dont know who wrote these words, but Ive always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.
We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. To answer it, first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life, its a state of mind. Its not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. Its the matter of the will. Its the freshness of the deep spring of life.
Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .
Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of whats next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart theres a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

I learnt a lot there. Id like to share it with all of you. Lets show our right palms. We can see three lines that show how our love.career and life is. I have a short line of life. What about yours? I wondered whether we could see our future in this way. Well, lets make a fist. Where is our future? Where is our love, career, and life? Tell me.Yeah, it is in our hands. It is held in ourselves.
We all want the future to be better than the past. But the future can go better itself. Dont cry because it is over, smile because it happened. From the past, weve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. Weve learnt that we cant choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. Failure doesnt mean you dont have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way. Failure doesnt mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder.
As what I said at the beginning, “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. The past has gone. Nothing we do will change it. But the future is in front of us. Believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. And from today on, lets be the owners of ourselves, and speak out “We are the world, we are the future.”

I do the normal routine， eat dinner， clean the house， write—the usualstuff。 And then I lay down hoping to fall asleep quickly so my new day willhurry up and arrive。 A new day with a brand new sun。 But as I lay there and waitfor the world to turn half way around， I think about her。 And sometimes I smile，and sometimes that smile will turn into asnicker， and then often that snickerwill turn into a burst of laughter。

And then there are times I get that lump in my throat and that tightfeeling in my chest， and sometimes that feeling overwhelms me and begins to turninto a tear， and often that tear multiplies itself and I can no longer fight thefeeling and I lose the battle。 Then somehow through either the joy or thesadness I drift and find myself asleep。 Then the dreams begin and keep me panyuntil my new day arrives。

When I awake it’s with such excitement because I tell myself this could bethe day that every other day has led up to and the first day of the rest of mylife。 I quickly don my smile because I do so want her to see me at my very best。Then I look out the window because， even though I know it’s dawn， I still haveto confirm I’ve been given another chance to find her。

And there it is…the sun， even when it’s cloudy; somehow I still see it。 Andit smiles at me and I say， “Thank you，” and I smile back。

Then I ask myself， “Is this the day?” And the excitement rushes over meagain。 And then I ask myself， “Where’s it going to be?”

Maybe it’ll be at the water fountain， and， unexpectedly， there I’ll findher， and much more than my thirst will be quenched。 Maybe it’ll be at thegrocery store and there she’ll appear as I’m picking out fruit， and she’ll showme the difference between fresh and spoiled。 Then， from that moment， nothingthat I eat will ever taste the same because she’ll bring out the simplestbeauties in everything I see， taste， smell， hear， or touch。

Last September I left my hometown with heavy baggage and after a journey of ten hours, I came to this dream campus with great expectation and excitement.
I was deeply attracted by the elegant environment of our campus the moment I stepped into the university. Straight, wide roads enjoyed the shade and shelter provided by lordly, green trees. Ancient buildings of great refinement enjoyed the company of flocks of birds flying and singing overhead. Scrolls of warm welcome greeted me and volunteers with smiles came to my help. My heart was filled with warmth. Yeah, this is the place where I will spend 4 years and this place will be my home!
Whenever I recall the past days, so many thoughts are flooding in my mind. But what impressed me most is a night when I got a stomachache during the first days. I had to turn to the aunts in charge of our dormitory for help. They were so friendly and warm-hearted. They gave me the pills and reminded me of having more hot water. I recovered soon and I thanked them from the bottom of my heart because they brought me the warmth of home.
Our university is a famous academic center. The teaching staff are all learned professors. Many of them are world-wide known for their wide range of knowledge and charming personality. I respect my teachers! I admire my teachers! I love my teachers! Various activities are carried here. They not only bring me happiness but also improve myself. I meet with a lot of classmates and make a large number of friends. When I feel upset, the will give me a hand; when I am happy, I will share with them. The library has a large collection of books and I always lose myself in it. I believe they will benefit me a lot and are to broaden the roads of my future.

How much like kites we sometimes are。 The Heaven gives us adversity andrestrictions， rules to follow from which we can grow and gain strength。Restraint is a necessary counterpart to the winds of opposition。 Some of us tugat the rules so hard that we never soar to reach the heights we might haveobtained。 We keep part of the mandment and never rise high enough to get ourtails off the ground。
Let us each rise to the great heights， recognizing that some of therestraints that we may chafe under are actually the steadying force that helpsus ascend and achieve。
