優(yōu)秀英語演講稿:I Have a Dream 篇1
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I’m so happy to be here and it’s my great honor to join in the competition tonight. Everyone all has a dream. There is no exception [ksepn]for me.When I was a child, my dream was to be a scientist. Because my parents would like me to be a great person. At that time,I was too young to understand what the scientist is like and what he exactly [gzktli] does. I only considered about my parents’ wish on me. Because I wanted to make them happy and satisfied.
Now, I know what my dream is.My dream is to study economics and become an economist when I grow up. Because it feels very exciting and challenging [tlnd]but attractive [trktv] to me. I hope I could study this major at Nanjing University in the future. However, some ofmyclassmates often said it’s impossible and crazy. It will be dream that won’t come true.
But I disagreewith them. I know my math isn't good enough now to apply [pla] for this major right now. My family also think I should be a Chinese teacher.Because I am quite good at Chinese. But I don't think so. It’s fantastic for me to have a dream that I can pursue.I don't know if I will be regretted about my decision I made today. But I believethisis the goal[gl] I amstriving toward now. I will start to take actions to make dream come true that I’ll study Math harder and read more books about economics. It's the driving force and direction of my progress.
Everyone, to pursue a dream, we must stick to our dreams and never give up.Let’s all go hand in hand on the road of dream. Please believe that everything is possible.
This is a wonderful evening. Let me meet you and I have not dreaned of refuling !Thank you! Everyone here.

Hi, everybody. Sunday is Father’s Day. If you haven’t got Dad a gift yet, there’s still time. Just barely. But the truth is, what we give our fathers cannever match what our fathers give us.
I know how important it is to have a dad in your life, because I grew upwithout my father around. I felt the weight of his absence. So for Michelle andour girls, I try every day to be the husband and father my family didn’t havewhen I was young. And every chance I get, I encourage fathers to get moreinvolved in their children’s lives, because what makes you a man isn’t theability to have a child – it’s the courage to raise one.
Still, over the past couple years, I’ve met with a lot of young people whodon’t have a father figure around. And while there’s nothing that can replace aparent, any of us can do our part to be a mentor, a sounding board, a role modelfor a kid who needs one. Earlier this year, I launched an initiative
called My Brother’s Keeper – an all-hands-on-deck effort to help more ofour young men reach their full potential. And if you want to be a mentor to ayoung man in your community, you can find out how /MyBrothersKeeper.
Now, when I launched this initiative, I said that government can’t play theprimary role in a young person’s life. Taking responsibility for being a greatparent or mentor is a choice that we, as individuals, have to make. Nogovernment program can ever take the place of a parent’s love. Still, as acountry, there are ways we can help support dads and moms who make thatchoice.
That’s why, earlier this week, we brought working dads from across Americato the White House to talk about the challenges they face. And in a few weeks,I’ll hold the first-ever White House Working Families Summit. We’ve still gottoo many workplace policies that belong in the 1950s, and it’s time to bringthem up to date for today’s families, where oftentimes, both parents areworking. Moms and dads deserve affordable child care, and time off to care for asick parent or child without running into hardship. Women deserve equal pay forequal work – and at a time when more women
are breadwinners for a family, that benefits men, too. And because noparent who works full-time should have to raise a family in poverty, it’s timefor Congress to follow the lead of state after state, get on the bandwagon, andgive America a raise.
Dads work hard. So our country should do what we can to make sure theirhard work pays off; to make sure life for them and their families is a littleless stressful, and a little more secure, so they can be the dads their kidsneed them to be. Because there’s nothing more precious in life than the time wespend with our children. There’s no better feeling than knowing that we can bethere for them, and provide for them, and help give them every shot atsuccess.
Let’s make sure every dad who works hard and takes responsibility has thechance to know that feeling, not just on one Sunday, but every day of theyear.
Thanks everybody, happy Father’s Day, and have a great weekend.

The most famous snack in my hometown is yuntun. Whenever I taste this delicious food, I feel relaxed and happy. Be patient when eating yuntun. If you are in a hurry and want to eat one at a time, yuntun will burn your mouth full of bubbles. Eating yuntun is also very exquisite. You can not only separate the skin from the sink, but also pierce the skin and eat for a long time. Guests who like spicy food can put some pepper before eating. On the National Day holiday, my mother took me to master Huangs wonton shop to taste the delicious wonton. They began to eat wonton. I saw that yuntun was thick in skin and meat, attractive in color, with long drums, which made people really want to eat one at a time.
At this time. First, I picked up the pepper bottle and sprinkled pepper in the wonton soup. Then I picked the biggest one and carefully pricked the skin with chopsticks. Suddenly, a fragrance curled into my nostril. I couldnt help but drool. I took a bite of the skin first. Its very chewy. Then a mass of red meat ran out of yuntuns skin mischievously. It seems to be looking at me mischievously. At this time, I can no longer resist the temptation of the meat pit and cant wait to take a bite. The feeling of tenderness and smoothness comes naturally, which makes me not bear to swallow the delicious and juicy yuntun. I just want to let yuntun taste in my mouth for a long time. I ate seven in a row, which made my belly swell.
My mother said I was a glutton when she saw how delicious I was. Ah, who makes yuntun so delicious! I would rather be a glutton, but also to taste this world food. Back home, the fragrance of yuntun still overflows in the mouth! How about listening to my introduction, everyone must be drooling! Lets have a taste of this memorable food - yuntun bar! When it comes to Shuangliao, my hometown, it is not only beautiful in scenery, but I sure you will love it.

"mum, i'm sorry, but i need 3,000 yuan for my tuition this year."
"mum, it is my friend's birthday tomorrow, i must buy her a present."
"mum, this jacket was out of fashion long ago, would you do me a favor? "
take. take. take. the relationship between a mother and a child always seems to follow such a pattern. i know my mother is always there for me, providing me with everything i need; from food to clothing, from tuition to pocket money. i never thought twice about all she did until one day she said, "will there be a time that you'll say you have taken enough from me? "
like a child endlessly asking, we humans, throughout history, have been continually demanding what we desire from nature. we enjoy the comfort and beauty of our furniture, yet we never bother to think about the serious soil erosion caused by deforestation. we take it for granted that we must warm ourselves in winter times, yet we seldom realize the burning away of precious natural resources. we appreciate all the prosperity from the development of modern industry, yet few would give the slightest consideration to the global air and water pollution caused by industrial wastes. our ruthless exploitation has permanently impaired our mother earth. as we tragically learned from last summer's floods. we cannot continue our carelessness.
finally, standing here at the threshold of the 21st century, we cannot help thinking of our posterity. nature is not only the mother of the present generation, but also the mother of the generations to come. how severely our descendents will criticize us if we leave them a barren and lifeless mother? how much more they will appreciate us if we give them a world of harmony to inherit? let us start respecting and caring for nature from now on. let us start the campaign of.

good evening,ladies and gentlemen,
today,my topic is about expressing the appreciation to our mothers.
a few days ago,i have read a news about a mother who walked 18 days back home after a visit to her son who works in the city.the mother did this just because she wanted to save 100 yuan for
him.during the jurney, she had to beg for meals and ask people to take her in in the night.sometimes, unfortunately, she got nothing and had to sleep in caves with starvation.18 days later, when the police found her,she was exhausted and weak.the mother is already 52 years
old, what`s her motivation for doing thisi think everybody knows the answer, yes,it`s the selfless love for her son.
we always say that mother love is the greatest love in the world,as we are growing,we enjoy the delicious food she cooked,we enjoy the clean clothes she washed,we get used to the privilege she gave us. then, gradually,we just take it for granted and begin to find her nagging.we tend to pay less attention to her and sometimes even ignore her.ladies and gentlemen, can you remember what did you do to show your mother your love on her birthdaysi am pretty sure that the younger you were, the more attention you would pay.even though, your mother still love you the same.
on mother`s day,i received a message from one of my best
friends, she said:i am appreciated to your mother for giving birth to you 20 years ago, because it gave me the chance to become your friend.i was moved by these words and can`t help thinking: what a mother isshe is the one who will walk for 18 days just to save 100
yuan for you.she is the one who will keep loving you and expect no return.she is the one who has already sacrificed a lot for you and is ready to sacrifice more.whybecause she got the name mother immediately after you were born.
so,ladies and gentlemen, please be greatful to our mothers, and please cherish the miracle our mothers have made since the
day we came to this world.
thank you very much !

Good morning everyone!
Man’s life is a process of growing up, actually I’m standing here is a growth. If a person’s life must constituted by various choices, then I grow up along with these choices. Once I hope I can study in a college in future, however that’s passed, as you know I come here, now I wonder what the future holds for (= what will happen to) me.
When I come to this school, I told to myself: this my near future, all starts here. Following I will learn to become a man, a integrated man, who has a fine body, can take on important task, has independent thought, an open mind, intensive thought, has the ability to judge right and wrong, has a perfect job.
Once my teacher said :” you are not sewing, you are stylist; never forget which you should lay out to people is your thought, not craft.” I will put my personality with my interest and ability into my study, during these process I will combine learning with doing. If I can achieve this “future”, I think that I really grow up. And I deeply believe kindred, good-fellowship and love will perfection and happy in the future.
How to say future? Maybe it’s a nice wish. Lets make up our minds, stick to it and surely well enjoy our life.

In my 18 years of life, there have been many things. University days are the best part of them. I can never forget the days when I stepped into my university. I was impressed by its garden'like campus, its enthusiastic students and especially its learning atmosphere. I at once fell in love with it.
After the arduous military training, I get absolutely absorbed in my studies. The classes given by the teachers are excellent. They provide us with information not only from our textbooks but from many other sources as well. They easily arouse my insatiable desire to take in as much as I can.
Frankly speaking, at first I had some difficulty following the teachers. However, through my own efforts and thanks to my teachers' guidance, I made remarkable progress. Now I've benefited a lot from lectures and many other academic reports.
Learning is a long process; I'll keep exploring in the treasure house of knowledge to enrich myself. This summer I got out of the ivory tower and entered the real world. A publishing house offered me a part'time job in compilation and revision.
Let us start the campaign of creating a mutually beneficial relationship between people and nature right from this moment. With this new start, I firmly believe, that our children, and our children's children will live in a brand new age of green trees, clean air, crystal water, blue sky and an even more promising world!

優(yōu)秀英語演講稿:I Have a Dream 篇10
Respect teacher, dear students: I am a number, today, the topic of my speech is "flying dreams".
Flying dream, light the hope. The eighteenth big attracted worldwide attention, now, everyone is talking about the Chinese dream, xi jinping, general secretary, said: "I think that, to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, is the Chinese nation in modern times the greatest dream". The teacher gave us interpret this sentence said: "the Chinese dream is to realize the national prosperity, national rejuvenation, people's happiness." As a primary school student, I want to say that my "dream" is to become a great writer, like bing xin's grandmother to return parents with their patriotic enthusiasm, dedication to the motherland!
"Chinese dream" let me remember a celebrity once said: the happiest thing in the world, is to struggle for a noble ideal. Language lesson I learned on - as long as the dream through struggle, it may become a reality. Even if you don't succeed, I also don't regret, because, at least I tried, struggle.
In the third grade, weeks is project on Thursdays. It was my first time to write the real article, always fear to write in the heart is bad, will be criticized by the teacher, students will be a joke. According to the guidance of the teacher, I just want to clear through after school life. The teacher emphasized to highlight the word "wonderful". The more I think more difficult, I don't know how to show the "wonderful". Was particularly annoyed, I remember the teacher said: "the interesting plot, intense scenes, moving pictures, different name is wonderful." So I decided to write the last story competition.
In the article. Write me to the competition area, at the sight of the lively scene, was tense. Write this part I highlighted the psychological activity in particular. Then I wrote the game process, especially wrote my performance on the stage. Hands began to tremble, head of words don't obedient, hide, also can not find out, is really urgent person. Casual glance, I am a teacher in the audience smile raise me up, mother in the audience the thumbs-up sign, let me have the confidence, strange to say, those who hide and seek with me words, sentences active appeared, I speak story has special devotion, applause dropped, I overcome myself, finished the story, also won the second prize. In the paper, I also wrote a bring me the joy of leisure activity.
I put the paper for the first time, the teacher praised me to use a lot at ordinary times the accumulation of words, there are a lot of wonderful expression, said I was a young writer. I hear my became a little writer, thought from his great writer dream, close to the many. The heart indescribably happy.
"Without the continuous bitter cold, how have no rainbow had the eyes no tears", learning to let me see only study hard, will succeed. As long as is a game, I want to attend, exercise self in order to achieve my dream.
China is also a dream, I dream. China is day by day prosperous, the Chinese are day by day rich. If China is an ocean, I am a drop of water, only hundreds of millions of water droplets together, can become the sea. I want to fly dream, thousands of people to fly dream, China dream can be realized to fly over.
Fly, my dream! The Chinese dream, fly!

An old man fishing in the river, a child came to see him fishing, skilled people, so not long to catch a full basket of fish, the old man is a lovely child, take the whole basket of fish to him, the child shook his head, the man asked in surprise: "why don't you?" the little boy answer: "I want your fishing rod." the old man asked: "what are you doing fishing?" he said: "this fish did not take long to finish, if I have a fishing rod, I can catch on, life could not finish eating."
I think you will say: what a clever kid. If he was wrong, as long as the fishing rod, that he can not eat a fish. Because he did not understand the skills of fishing, fishing rod is light there is no use, because the fishing was not important "fishing rod" and "fishing technology."
There are too many people think they have a life of the rod, and no fear in the rain, this will inevitably fall on the muddy ground. As the kids see the elderly, think that as long as the poles will not eat fish, the staff look like the boss, as long as they sit in the Office, there are rolled into the financing.

The human beings are stepping into the information society. The information industry develops very rapidly, so do the hackers, trick-playing teens, exploring children, fraudsters, and serious white-collar criminals. Thus, information security becomes an impending important issue.
In case of information breach, the victims-government department, an organization or an institution, or a company will inevitably suffer great or small loss. Government may be threatened with national security. Companies may lose opportunities to develop new projects. And the public’s and users’ confidence will be damaged.
Then how to deal with this issue? Technology is only a partial solution to information security. What’s more important is that organizations and companies should promote the awareness on information security to its staff. However, since no system can ever be 100 percent secure, a prevention-only approach to information security management is not enough. Companies and organizations should adopt a dual approach to information security management by combing prevention and detection techniques

Good morning, everyone. My name is . I’m from Cheng Zhuang primany school. I’m a puiple.Today I will tell you a story, the topic is THE GREEDY MOUSE.
You know the cats eat the mice, and they are enimies. But there is a little mouse that don’t know it, her name is Jerry.
One day, that was Jerry’s birthday. That morning, Jerry’s father and mother got up earilier and said to her, “Jerry, get up, get up” the little Jerry was sleeping and said, “What’s wrong?” “Today is your birthday, we are going to buy some presents for you.” “Thank you, dady momy.” Then they went out.
But at that time, a cat was looking for food. His name is Tom. He found Jerry’s father and mother went out, left their daughter only at home. He was very happy, said to yourself, “Oh, now I have food.”
Then he called 7654321. Jerry catched the telephone quickly, “Hello” she said, “This is Jerry, Who’s that?” “This is a Tom. I’m a cat.”
“A cat? What are you doing?” The cat said, “I hear today is your birthday, happy birthday to you. I have a present for you.” Jerry was happy, and said, “Thank you. You may come here. See you later.” “See you later.”
Then Tom went to Jerry’s home with some flowers.
“Who are you?” Jerry said, “I’m a Tom.” “Oh, welcome, welcome” The door was open. “Jerry, happy birthday to you, here you are.” “Oh, how nice. Thank you, thank you very much. Come in, please. Then the cat came into Jerry’s home.

Jerry, where are your families?” “They are out.” “Really?” “Yes.” Jerry was worried. Then said, “Tom, what are you doing?” “Now I’m very hungry.” “Please please……” “No no……” “And what do you want?” “I want want want to eat you.” “Eat me?” “Yes!” “No, help help”.
Then Tom ate Jerry. The little mouse was died. This is the mouse’s fate.
The story is over. This story tell us NO GREED.
Thank you.

and see no end to the landscape, new objects presenting themselves as we advance; so, in the commencement of life, we set no bounds to our inclinations. nor to the unrestricted opportunities of gratifying them. we have as yet found no obstacle, no disposition to flag; and it seems that we can go on so forever. we look round in a new world, full of life, and motion, and ceaseleprogress; and feel in ourselves all the vigor and spirit to keep pace with it, and do not foresee from any present symptoms how we shall be left behind in the natural course of things, decline into old age, and drop into the grave. it is the simplicity, and as it were abstractedneof our feelings in youth, that (so to speak) identifies us with nature, and (our experience being slight and our passions strong) deludes us into a belief of being immortal like it. our short-lives connection with existence we fondly flatter ourselves, is an indissoluble and lasting union-a honeymoon that knows neither coldness, jar, nor separation. as infants smile and sleep, we are rocked in the cradle of our wayward fancies, and lulled into security by the roar of the universe around us0we quaff the cup of life with eager haste without draining it, instead of which it only overflows the more-objects prearound us, filling the mind with their magnitude and with the strong of desires that wait upon them, so that we have no room for the thoughts of death.

As everyone knows,English is very important today. It has been used everywhere in the world. It has become the most common language on Internet and for international trade. If we can speak English well,we will have more chance to succeed.Because more and more people have taken notice of it,the number of the people who go to learn English has increased at a high speed.
But for myself,I learn English not only because of its importance and its usefulness, but also because of my love for it.When I learn English, I can feel a different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world. When I read English novels,I can feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the translation. When I speak English, I can feel the confident from my words. When I write English,I can see the beauty which is not the same as our Chinese...
I love English,it gives me a colorful dream.I hope I can travel around the world one day. With my good English, I can make friends with many people from different contries.I can see many places of GREat interests.I dream that I can go to London, because it is the birth place of English.
優(yōu)秀英語演講稿:I Have a Dream 篇18
I want to start by doing an experiment. I'mgoing to play three videos of a rainy day. But I've replaced the audio of oneof the videos, and instead of the sound of rain, I've added the sound of baconfrying. So I want you think carefully which one the clip with the bacon is.
Raise your hand if you've ever been asked the question "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
Now if you had to guess, how old would you say you were when you were first asked this question? You can just hold up fingers. Three. Five. Three. Five. Five. OK. Now, raise your hand if the question "What do you want to be when you grow up?" has ever caused you any anxiety.
Any anxiety at all.
I'm someone who's never been able to answer the question "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
See, the problem wasn't that I didn't have any interests -- it's that I had too many. In high school, I liked English and math and art and I built websites and I played guitar in a punk band called Frustrated Telephone Operator. Maybe you've heard of us.
This continued after high school, and at a certain point, I began to notice this pattern in myself where I would become interested in an area and I would dive in, become all-consumed, and I'd get to be pretty good at whatever it was, and then I would hit this point where I'd start to get bored. And usually I would try and persist anyway, because I had already devoted so much time and energy and sometimes money into this field. But eventually this sense of boredom, this feeling of, like, yeah, I got this, this isn't challenging anymore -- it would get to be too much. And I would have to let it go.
But then I would become interested in something else, something totally unrelated, and I would dive into that, and become all-consumed, and I'd be like, "Yes! I found my thing," and then I would hit this point again where I'd start to get bored. And eventually, I would let it go. But then I would discover something new and totally different, and I would dive into that.
This pattern caused me a lot of anxiety, for two reasons. The first was that I wasn't sure how I was going to turn any of this into a career. I thought that I would eventually have to pick one thing, deny all of my other passions, and just resign myself to being bored. The other reason it caused me so much anxiety was a little bit more personal. I worried that there was something wrong with this, and something wrong with me for being unable to stick with anything. I worried that I was afraid of commitment, or that I was scattered, or that I was self-sabotaging, afraid of my own success.
If you can relate to my story and to these feelings, I'd like you to ask yourself a question that I wish I had asked myself back then. Ask yourself where you learned to assign the meaning of wrong or abnormal to doing many things. I'll tell you where you learned it: you learned it from the culture.
We are first asked the question "What do you want to be when you grow up?" when we're about five years old. And the truth is that no one really cares what you say when you're that age.
It's considered an innocuous question, posed to little kids to elicit cute replies, like, "I want to be an astronaut," or "I want to be a ballerina," or "I want to be a pirate." Insert Halloween costume here.
But this question gets asked of us again and again as we get older in various forms -- for instance, high school students might get asked what major they're going to pick in college. And at some point, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" goes from being the cute exercise it once was to the thing that keeps us up at night. Why?
See, while this question inspires kids to dream about what they could be, it does not inspire them to dream about all that they could be. In fact, it does just the opposite, because when someone asks you what you want to be, you can't reply with 20 different things, though well-meaning adults will likely chuckle and be like, "Oh, how cute, but you can't be a violin maker and a psychologist. You have to choose."
This is Dr. Bob Childs -- and he's a luthier and psychotherapist. And this is Amy Ng, a magazine editor turned illustrator, entrepreneur, teacher and creative director. But most kids don't hear about people like this. All they hear is that they're going to have to choose. But it's more than that. The notion of the narrowly focused life is highly romanticized in our culture. It's this idea of destiny or the one true calling, the idea that we each have one great thing we are meant to do during our time on this earth, and you need to figure out what that thing isand devote your life to it.
But what if you're someone who isn't wired this way? What if there are a lot of different subjects that you're curious about, and many different things you want to do? Well, there is no room for someone like you in this framework. And so you might feel alone. You might feel like you don't have a purpose. And you might feel like there's something wrong with you. There's nothing wrong with you. What you are is a multipotentialite.
A multipotentialite is someone with many interests and creative pursuits. It's a mouthful to say. It might help if you break it up into three parts: multi, potential, and ite. You can also use one of the other terms that connote the same idea, such as polymath, the Renaissance person. Actually, during the Renaissance period, it was considered the ideal to be well-versed in multiple disciplines. Barbara Sher refers to us as "scanners." Use whichever term you like, or invent your own. I have to say I find it sort of fitting that as a community, we cannot agree on a single identity.
It's easy to see your multipotentiality as a limitation or an affliction that you need to overcome. But what I've learned through speaking with people and writing about these ideas on my website, is that there are some tremendous strengths to being this way. Here are three multipotentialite super powers.
One: idea synthesis. That is, combining two or more fields and creating something new at the intersection.Sha Hwang and Rachel Binx drew from their shared interests in cartography, data visualization, travel, mathematics and design, when they founded Meshu. Meshu is a company that creates custom geographically-inspired jewelry. Sha and Rachel came up with this unique idea not despite, but because of their eclectic mix of skills and experiences. Innovation happens at the intersections. That's where the new ideas come from. And multipotentialites, with all of their backgrounds, are able to access a lot of these points of intersection.
The second multipotentialite superpower is rapid learning. When multipotentialites become interested in something, we go hard. We observe everything we can get our hands on. We're also used to being beginners, because we've been beginners so many times in the past, and this means that we're less afraid of trying new things and stepping out of our comfort zones. What's more, many skills are transferable across disciplines, and we bring everything we've learned to every new area we pursue, so we're rarely starting from scratch.
Nora Dunn is a full-time traveler and freelance writer. As a child concert pianist, she honed an incredible ability to develop muscle memory. Now, she's the fastest typist she knows.
Before becoming a writer, Nora was a financial planner. She had to learn the finer mechanics of sales when she was starting her practice, and this skill now helps her write compelling pitches to editors. It is rarely a waste of time to pursue something you're drawn to, even if you end up quitting. You might apply that knowledge in a different field entirely, in a way that you couldn't have anticipated.
The third multipotentialite superpower is adaptability; that is, the ability to morph into whatever you need to be in a given situation. Abe Cajudo is sometimes a video director, sometimes a web designer, sometimes a Kickstarter consultant, sometimes a teacher, and sometimes, apparently, James Bond.
He's valuable because he does good work. He's even more valuable because he can take on various roles, depending on his clients' needs. Fast Company magazine identified adaptability as the single most important skill to develop in order to thrive in the 21st century. The economic world is changing so quickly and unpredictably that it is the individuals and organizations that can pivot in order to meet the needs of the market that are really going to thrive.
Idea synthesis, rapid learning and adaptability: three skills that multipotentialites are very adept at, and three skills that they might lose if pressured to narrow their focus. As a society, we have a vested interest in encouraging multipotentialites to be themselves. We have a lot of complex, multidimensional problems in the world right now, and we need creative, out-of-the-box thinkers to tackle them.
Now, let's say that you are, in your heart, a specialist. You came out of the womb knowing you wanted to be a pediatric neurosurgeon. Don't worry -- there's nothing wrong with you, either.
In fact, some of the best teams are comprised of a specialist and multipotentialite paired together. The specialist can dive in deep and implement ideas, while the multipotentialite brings a breadth of knowledge to the project. It's a beautiful partnership. But we should all be designing lives and careers that are aligned with how we're wired. And sadly, multipotentialites are largely being encouraged simply to be more like their specialist peers.
So with that said, if there is one thing you take away from this talk, I hope that it is this: embrace your inner wiring, whatever that may be. If you're a specialist at heart, then by all means, specialize. That is where you'll do your best work. But to the multipotentialites in the room, including those of you who may have just realized in the last 12 minutes that you are one --
To you I say: embrace your many passions. Follow your curiosity down those rabbit holes. Explore your intersections. Embracing our inner wiring leads to a happier, more authentic life. And perhaps more importantly -- multipotentialites, the world needs us.Thank you.

How many of you are tired of seeingcelebrities adopting kids from the African continent?
Well, it's not all that bad. I was adopted.I grew up in rural Uganda, lost both my parents when I was very, very young. And when my parents passed, I experienced all the negative effects of poverty, from homelessness, eating out of trash piles, you name it.
But my life changed when I got acceptedinto an orphanage. Through one of those sponsor-an-orphan programs, I wassponsored and given an opportunity to acquire an education. I started off inUganda. I went through school, and the way this particular program worked, youfinished high school and after high school, you go learn a trade -- to become acarpenter, a mechanic or something along those lines.
My case was a little different. The sponsorfamily that was sending these 25 dollars a month to this orphanage to sponsorme, which -- I had never met them -- said, "Well ... we would like to sendyou to college instead." Oh -- it gets better.
And they said, "If you get thepaperwork, we'll send you to school in America instead." So with theirhelp, I went to the embassy and applied for the visa. I got the visa.
I remember this day like it was yesterday.I walked out of the embassy with this piece of paper in my hand, a hop in mystep, smile on my face, knowing that my life is about to change. I went homethat night, and I slept with my passport, because I was afraid that someonemight steal it.
I couldn't fall asleep. I kept feeling it.I had a good idea for security. I was like, "OK, I'm going to put it in aplastic bag, and take it outside and dig a hole, and put it in there." Idid that, went back in the house. I could not fall asleep. I was like,"Maybe someone saw me." I went back --
I pulled it out, and I put it with me theentire night -- all to say that it was an anxiety-filled night.
Going to the US was, just like anotherspeaker said, was my first time to see a plane, be on one, let alone sit on itto fly to another country. December 15, 20xx. 7:08pm. I sat in seat 7A. FlyEmirates. One of the most gorgeous, beautiful women I've ever seen walked up,red little hat with a white veil. I'm looking terrified, I have no idea whatI'm doing. She hands me this warm towel -- warm, steamy, snow white. I'mlooking at this warm towel; I don't know what to do with my life, let alonewith this damn towel --
I did one of the -- you know, anythinganyone could do in that situation: look around, see what everyone else isdoing. I did the same. Mind you, I drove about seven hours from my village tothe airport that day. So I grab this warm towel, wipe my face just likeeveryone else is doing, I look at it -- damn.
It was all dirt brown.I remember being so embarrassed that whenshe came by to pick it up, I didn't give mine.I still have it.
Going to America opened doors for me tolive up to my full God-given potential. I remember when I arrived, the sponsorfamily embraced me, and they literally had to teach me everything from scratch:this is a microwave, that's a refrigerator -- things I'd never seen before. Andit was also the first time I got immersed into a new and different culture. These strangers showed me true love. These strangers showed me that I mattered, that my dreams mattered.Thank you.
These individuals had two of their ownbiological children. And when I came in, I had needs. They had to teach meEnglish, teach me literally everything, which resulted in them spending a lotof time with me. And that created a little bit of jealousy with their children. So, if you're a parent in this room, and you have those teenager children whodon't want anything to do with your love and affection -- in fact, they find itrepulsive -- I got a solution: adopt a child.
It will solve the problem.
I went on to acquire two engineeringdegrees from one of the best institutions in the world. I've got to tell you:talent is universal, but opportunities are not. And I credit this to theindividuals who embrace multiculturalism, love, empathy and compassion forothers. We live in a world filled with hate: building walls, Brexit, xenophobiahere on the African continent. Multiculturalism can be an answer to many ofthese worst human qualities.
Today, I challenge you to help a youngchild experience multiculturalism. I guarantee you that will enrich their life, and in turn, it will enrich yours. And as a bonus, one of them may even give aTED Talk.
We may not be able to solve the bigotry andthe racism of this world today, but certainly we can raise children to create apositive, inclusive, connected world full of empathy, love and compassion.
Love wins.Thank you.

Chairman Mao has written, "So many deeds cry out to be done, and always urgently; the world rolls on, time presses. Ten thousand years are too long, seize the day, seize the hour!"
This is the hour, this is the day for our two peoples to rise to the heights of greatness which can build a new and a better world.
In that spirit, I ask all of you present to join me in raising your glasses to Chairman Mao, to Prime Minister Zhou, and to the friendship of the Chinese and American people which can lead to friendship and peace for all people in the world.

i have been in university for about one year. during my stay here, i came to realize that university life is like drinking coke. we experience all tastes of life here, sour, sweet, bitter and hot.
i am from province, which is far away from here. i often miss my mum, friends, and relatives in my hometown. however, i can't see them very often. so loneliness always keeps me company. i am sad that i can't be there with them.
lucky for me, life in university is rich and colorful. with more free time,we can do many more things besides study, such as joining societies clubs, and taking part-time jobs. such activities not only make our life more colorful, but also help us improve all kinds of skills. the university is a society miniature, what we learn here will benefit our future life.
our path in life will not always be smooth. setbacks can't be avoided. failing an important exam, break up with boy or girl friend, or refused by a promising company, such setbacks are likely to get us down. sometimes we fell so frustrated that we even burst into tears.
drinkin coke is wonderful, despite the undesirble consequent hiccups. it's bitter, sour and peppery, but also sweet. and you'll even feel excited after gulping down a glass. a college experience is part of growing up. we cry, smile, fall in love, get hurt, leave, learn and then we become a better person.
university life is like drinking coke. i'm experiencing it. and i know, i enjoy it!
優(yōu)秀英語演講稿:I Have a Dream 篇23
“once upon a time, there was a king who had a daughter as beautiful as a blooming all the suitors who came to the king's palace to ask for the hand of the princess, the old king assigned three tasks to be accomplished, each next to day, into the king's palace came a handsome young prince..." well, you know the rest. the three tasks may be different in different versions, but the main plot is always the same, with the prince claiming the princess's hand triumphantly.
and the ending is always the same, finishing with the line "and they live happily every after."
why aren't we tired of something so fanciful,so unrealistic, and, i would say, so unimaginative?how can a story like that endure generations of repetition`? because, i think, it is a typical success story. it is highly philosophical and symbolic. by implication, we see a 4-step definition of success: 1 ) a goal to be set. as represented by the beautiful princess; 2 ) challenges to be met, as represented by the three tasks; 3 ) the process of surmounting difficulties, as represented by the ordeals the youth goes through; and 4 ) the reward of success, as represented by the happy marriage.
the story not only caters to everyone's inward yearning for success, but also emphasizes the inseparability of the process and the result. the reward of success will be much amplified if the path leading towards it is treacherous, and vice versa. if a person inherits his father's millions and leads an easy life, he is not a successful person even in material terms, because there are no difficulties involved in his achieving affluence. the term "success", to be sure. will not sit still for easy definition. but as i understand it, the true meaning of success entails a combination of both the process and the satisfactory result of an endeavor. to clarify my view, let me give another analogy.
if we changed the rules of football, greatly enlarged the goal and sent away david seaman or any other goal keeper, so that another david, namely david beckham, could score easily, then scoring would not give him the thrill of accomplishment and the joy that it brings. if we further changed the rules by not allowing arsenal's defenders to defend, so that beckham needed only to lift a finger, actually a toe, to score, then there would be no game at all, because the meaning of winning would have disappeared. in accepting the challenge, in surmounting the difficulties and in enduring the hardship, success acquires its value. the sense of attainment varies in proportion to the degree of difficulties on overcomes.
the concept of success is not constant but relative because the nature of difficulty is also relative. something you do effortlessly might pose a great difficulty for a handicapped person. in acquiring the ability to do the same as you can, he or she achieve success. that's why we greatly admire stephen hawking, because, though confined to a wheel chair,he has contributed greatly to the field of science.
i myself, a rather shy person by nature who easily suffer from stage fright, had to pluck up great courage to take part in a speech contest like this. i could have stayed away and had an easy time of it by not entering the university level i chose to accept the challenge and to face the difficulties. now here i am. if i come out first, it will be a great success for me. if i come out last-i hope this will not be the case-but if i come out last, i will not call my attempt a failure, but will also celebrate it as a true success, because part of my goal is my own character training-to do more assertive, to be brave in face of me,it is a meaningful step forward, small as it is, in the long journey toward the final success in my life, because i have truly gained by participating.
let us return to our handsome young prince and the 4-step definition of success. you my have noticed that the usual worldly criteria of
wealth, position and fame were not mentioned as part of the story, but rather, it emphasized the process of overcoming difficulties. the ancient wisdom had already defined the meaning of success, and this is my definition, too.
thank you.

My dear friends,
good morning/evening/afternoon, ladies and gentlemen :
today, my speech is about talents,in my opionion, talents are indispensable in nowadays society. as is known to all that the fight among countries is actually the fight among talents.
first, i'd like to define the word"talent" in my idea, a talent is one person who is good at or expertised in some or multiple areas. nowadays, as the world developing goes on , if one country want to rank top or do a good job in the world, the country must have many talents.for example, china, the biggest developing country in the world, in the past 100 years, is always invaded by other countries, why ,the reason is that china at that time had not so many talents. if they had anti-intrusion leader talents in the war, needless to say, they would have beat those big powers.if they had talents in weapons manufacturing, nodody dares to provoke us.however, nowadays, it's a totally different situation, china has become powerfulin all over the world, why ? because there are many talents serving the country, the civilians become more and more literated.more and more people go to university, more and more people come to receive further education. so what is that in return, talents in army protect our country from invasion, talents in commerce help make our economy keep in improving, talents in aerospace make the world see chinese manned spacecraft flying. talents in sports make china rank the first in the olympic games......
to sum up, talents will play a more and more impoetant role in the world, if one country intends to flourish, he must foster talents as many as they can ,that's all, thank you.

when i was nine years old i went off to summer camp for the first time. and my mother packed me a suitcase full of books, which to me seemed like a perfectly natural thing to do. because in my family, reading was the primary group activity. and this might sound antisocial to you, but for us it was really just a different way of being social. you have the animal warmth of your family sitting right next to you, but you are also free to go roaming around the adventureland inside your own mind. and i had this idea that camp was going to be just like this, but better. (laughter) i had a vision of 10 girls sitting in a cabin cozily reading books in their matching nightgowns.
(laughter)
“'i live 17 miles from here.' i replied. 'my car could have broken down anywhere along the freeway. it didn't. instead, it broke down in the perfect place: off the freeway, within walking distance of here. i'm still able to teach my class, and i've been able to arrange for the tow truck to meet me after class. if my car was meant to break down today, it couldn't have been arranged in a more convenient fashion.'
the secretary's eyes opened wide, and then she smiled. i smiled back and headed for class.“ so ended my story.
i scanned the sixty faces in my economics class at unlv. despite the early hour, no one seemed to be asleep. somehow, my story had touched them. or maybe it wasn't the story at all. in fact, it had all started with a student's observation that i was cheerful.
deepak chopra has quoted an indian wise man as saying, “who you are speaks louder to me than anything you can say.“ i suppose it must be so.
camp was more like a keg party without any alcohol. and on the very first day our counselor gathered us all together and she taught us a cheer that she said we would be doing every day for the rest of the summer to instill camp spirit. and it went like this: “r-o-w-d-i-e, that's the way we spell rowdie. rowdie, rowdie, let's get rowdie.“ yeah. so i couldn't figure out for the life of me why we were supposed to be so rowdy, or why we had to spell this word incorrectly. (laughter) but i recited a cheer. i recited a cheer along with everybody else. i did my best. and i just waited for the time that i could go off and read my books.

Time on housework will be rewarding Being gradually aware of the significance in children’s involving in housework, parents are changing from a role of overprotection to a more reasonable level of encouraging initiative participation in household chores.
It’s inspiring and meaningful to see that children are no longer deprived of their rights to develop practical skills in housework, instead, they are given the chances to contribute their shares and are often rewarded with a spiritual fulfillment. Fortunately, I’m one of the countless teenagers who have benefited a great deal from this kind of perceptual transition of our parents.
I have frequently been encouraged to deal with cooking the meal, sweeping the floor as well as washing dishes since an early age of seven. And I am proud enough to take the responsibility of pparing a good meal when Mom and Dad are delayed by their work.
Thanks to their early realization and ever-lasting persistence in the cultivation of my independence, I have grown more skillful and willing to take my share of obligation either at home or at school.
Pushing the children on their way to housework is initial yet effective if parents tend to ensure a promising future.
優(yōu)秀英語演講稿:I Have a Dream 篇28
Ninety three percent of the worlds water is salt water and cannot be drunk. Fresh water only accounts for seven percent, while drinking water only accounts for eight percent. Five billion people in the world depend on drinking only 0.8% of the fresh water. Look, how valuable the water is!
How do we get the tap water we use every day? Dont think running water is all right. It was the worker uncle of the waterworks who introduced the river water or groundwater into the factory, put the water in the sedimentation tank, added the medicine for disinfection and sterilization, and removed the harmful and impurities. In this way, many pipes were buried underground. These pipes are connected one by one. They are the result of the hard work of many workers in Waterworks day and night. When we turn on the tap, we should think of how many workers uncles hard work are contained in the water!
Students, we are the little masters of the country. We should form a good idea and good habit of saving water from childhood. No matter in or out of school, we should pay attention to water conservation to avoid waste of water resources, do not let the tap drip, try to make rational and recycling use of water resources. We should be a good child who saves water with practical actions.

If everyone is polite to others, the world will be more and more beautiful.

My mother is an ordinary teacher. She always puts her students beforeeverything. She is nothing different from other people at the first sight. Butlater you will find that she is so responsible. In my mind, she is very great. On weekends, she always prepare the class at home. Sometimes she even ask thestudents to come to our house for remediation for free. All her students likeher. Sometimes I almost envy her students. Luckily, my mother also very careabout me. she puts all her time on our family and her students, leaving nothingfor herself. She is so great, and I proud of her; and I love her.

Everyone has a mother. Mother brings us to the world. They give us life and love. When we are little, they take good care of us. They give much but give themselves little. They prefer to give us the best rather than let us feel hungry.
When we are ill, they take us to the hospital and look after us day and night. When we smile, they smile. When we cry, they cry. Once I hear a story about mother.
The story happened at the earthquake in 20xx. When people found a mother, they were surprised to find that there was a baby in her arms and there was a mobile phone near the baby. In the mobile phone there was a text message, saying" My lovely baby, I love you forever." The mother used her body to save her child. How great the mother is! Mothers will do everything for their children.
So we should love our mothers and take good care of them when they need us. We shouldn't be angry with our mothers when they punish us, because what they do is for our good.
優(yōu)秀英語演講稿:I Have a Dream 篇34
As we know, we would feel lonely if we didn't even have a friend. But it doesn't mean we could depend on our friends all the time. There is a
famous motto saying that “A friend is like a quilt with cotton wadding, but the real thing that keeps you warm is your own temperature.” It is really true. We have to work hard together with our friends, encourage each other and help each other. When we receive love and friendship, we should repay as much as we can.
Finally, let's pray together now that one day, all of us could find the person we want to find, and could enjoy a real beautiful friendship in our lives. Let's pray the flower of friendship be-tween our friends and us would always bloom brightly in our heart
