At age 10, he tried to drown himself in 4 inches of water,but did not go through with it out of love for his parents. After praying togrow arms and legs, Vujicic eventually realized that his accomplishments couldinspire others – and became grateful for his life. A key turning point came whenhis mother showed him a newspaper article about a man dealing with a severedisability. Vujicic realized he wasn't unique in his struggles and began toembrace and transcend his disability.
This man, the soldier of life, came to my hometown 2 months ago. I got tolisten to him, and talk to him, face to face. I could never forget the look inhis face when he said “when I was young, I always feel cold, and dark. My firstdream was to grow arms and legs, but there is no future for me at all. ” Andnow, 28 years has passed since he was born, 28 years without arms and legs.Nick’s first dream didn't come true, but he didn't lose his faith of himself,and the faith of this life.
Nick is living a life without limbs, and also a life without limits.Compare to him, young people, there is no excuses to lose our faith in ourselvesand this world. I understand that life couldn't be anything we want it to be,and life couldn't bring us everything we long for, sometimes, life even takesaway our cherished ones. 游戲在英語課堂上的重要性都快比得上水之于魚了，很難想象一堂課上，如果沒有了游戲，該怎么繼續(xù)。不論高年級還是低年級，在游戲中學習都是一種十分有效的學習方式。低年級學生好動又好勝，游戲能讓他們在動身體的同時動腦，并且享受成功的喜悅。高年級的課堂相對而言比較乏味，適時的游戲會是絕佳的作料。好的游戲能讓一堂沉悶的英語課活躍起來，是學生學習的興奮的藥劑。
一、游戲的安排應講究一個“適”字，適時、適式、適度。
（一）適時組織游戲
看準時機，針對學生的實際安排合適的游戲形式。
1.讓學生從思想上盡快進入英語課堂，游戲導入是個相當快捷、有效的方法。我們可以安排listen and do，listen and point，look and say，flash and say等操作簡單，但具有檢查性質的游戲。學生在玩游戲的同時，復習了舊知識，情感上也得到了體驗。而從這些舊知識的復習，我們可以自然過渡到新知識的傳授，溫故知新，以舊帶新，一舉兩得。
2.在復習鞏固階段，最忌諱的是機械操練。游戲能使復習變得生動。比如我們學了一系列水果以后，安排老師拿一個水果，學生說出來的環(huán)節(jié)，但反復幾次之后，學生的積極性就會減弱。這時，我們安排游戲Who is missing？Who is fast？Magic eyes等，學生的積極性就會立刻恢復，一只只小手又會爭先恐后地舉
起。
3.當學生的臉上閃過“無聊”、“困惑”的痕跡時，游戲可解“燃眉之急”。高年級的學生面臨背單詞、記單詞的難題。如果不講究方法地死記硬背，不但效果不好，學生的興趣也會逐漸降低。在這個階段，如果能幫助他們掌握正確的方法，促使他們主動背單詞，就會對他們以后的英語學習有很大的幫助。單詞接龍、吊死鬼、尋找共同點等游戲，不僅讓學生始終處于積極思考的狀態(tài)，而且能提高他們課后記單詞的興趣。
（二）適式組織游戲
有些游戲的可用性很強，如copy不走樣等游戲，無論什么內容，都能套用。但有些游戲，卻不是什么內容都合適的。教師要學會使用最恰當的游戲，如flash and guess這樣的游戲僅適合單詞教學，而不適合鞏固句型。
不同年齡階段的學生，對游戲的口味也不同，我們要學會投其所好。低年級的學生喜歡趣味性強的，如copy不走樣，high voice and low voice能引起他們參與的欲望。而高年級的學生則喜歡探索型的游戲，比如bingo、加減運算對抗賽就很受他們的歡迎。

在教學中，我們不能只為讓學生放松、玩樂而安排游戲，歸根結底，游戲是為教學服務的。在游戲活動之前，我們必須指定相應的規(guī)則，沒有規(guī)則，游戲過程就會很“亂”，有規(guī)則才能“活而
有序”。當學生的“玩性”到五、六成的時候，我們的游戲就該結束了。因為如果游戲結束太早，學生才剛進入游戲狀態(tài)，熟悉游戲規(guī)則，就結束游戲，一來掃興，二來游戲的“運用語言”的目的也沒達到。如果游戲結束得太晚，學生就會越來越無聊，下次再玩這類游戲就沒有了熱情。
二、游戲的組織，還要講究一個“變”字——以不變應萬變。

同一個游戲“發(fā)口令，做動作”，一般都是教師怎么發(fā)，學生怎么做，最多讓一個學生發(fā)，其他學生做，偶爾做做反口令，分組進行比賽。做多了，學生的好奇心沒有了，游戲就變成了機械操練。如果設幾個陷阱，就會有“眼睛一眨，老母雞變鴨”的效果。趣味性的調節(jié)就是教師在做動作的時候，可以先慢慢地好像在做“坐下”的動作，眼神一定要是那種壞壞的，然后突然變成“起立”，讓學生產生和教師斗下去的欲望。師生成了“敵人”，而游戲就成了“戰(zhàn)爭”。把動作和語言結合起來，邊做動作邊說，動作和口令有時一致，有時不一致。在訓練學生對所學知識掌握的同時，還訓練了學生的反應能力。

隨著學生對知識的掌握逐漸加深，訓練的速度可以逐漸加快，這不但適合學習的規(guī)律，還使原本枯燥的操練重新顯出生氣，學生逐漸淡化的新奇感又被激起。

在教育中，我們能體會到表揚和激勵對學生起的作用比批評更大。在老師的激勵下，學生的探索精神更易發(fā)揮，更容易學會原本以為很難學的東西。我常常采用口頭表揚，認為給學生物質獎勵會使他們變得功利，但在同事們的感染下，偶爾嘗試獎勵，也取得了很好的激勵效果。我用小五星激勵學生，常常搞得自己整個黃昏剪五角星，有時，一節(jié)課獎多了，自己還有點心疼，最重要的是用多了學生還不稀罕了。其實我們可以嘗試用加分的方法，注意分值有區(qū)別，加分要敏感，時時注意給學生以表揚，讓學生得到認可。這樣一來，不但讓自己得到解脫，更使獎勵更具可變性。
（四）以人為本
教育的對象是人，所以教育應當以人為本。在游戲中，教師的神態(tài)、語態(tài)、眼神、動作是十分重要的，教師要用主持人一般的激情，讓每個學生都感覺到老師的召喚。我相信教師只有投入情感，學生才會給予相應的回報。

Today I will say something about my family love.
I remember when I was younger. My family lived a simple life. We weren't wealthy by any stretch of the imagination, but we were content with what we had.
Our first vehicle was an old broken-down bicycle. It provided us with transportation on many enjoyable weekends and holidays. Mom sat on the back while Dad pedaled. I, a mere toddler at the time, rode on the bar in front of him. It didn't matter where we were going as long as we were going there together.
Not long after that, my family moved to Hainan. Relying on my parents, courage and persistence, they started their own business. As a result, we were soon able to replace the bike with a new car. So we could travel further on our excursions. Our family's happy laughter filled the car as we traveled to many distant locations in China. Many years have gone by since those happy days, but we're still as close as ever.
Recently, the airplane has become our mode of transportation as we venture beyond the confines of China to see the world. We were able to experience firsthand the uniqueness of Amsterdam, the romance of Paris, and the elegance of Vienna. But yet, such fantastic sites were nothing compared to the love of our family.
Time goes by swiftly, and everything is changing all the time.Yet the love existing in my family always remains. It is the source of our happiness; It,s the source of all of our ideals: confidence, courage, and faith. But it goes so much deeper than that; it warms our very hearts. So I will acclaim for the eternal and awesome love in my family and let it go on forever!

perhaps the clintons' greatest achievement is their daughter, who moved into the white house as a young girl, and left as an accomplished young lady. it's not easy to be a teenager in the white house, but it's a lot easier when you have a loving mother and a loving father that chelsea clinton had.
this magnificent presidential library, and the american life it celebrates, would not have been possible without the love and sacrifice of a special lady. among his heroes, president clinton always includes his mother, virginia kelley, "a working woman and a widow." virginia was there when her son took the oath of office, and we know that she would be incredibly proud of this day.

My last holidays were my longest holidays, and i think that i learnt how to spend the time. I went with some friends, and we spent there just five days, but it was enough time to want to come back next summer! We stayed on the beach for hours, in the mornings, just lying and asleep, taking enough energy for the rest of the day and for the night! At night, we went out until next morning. We danced, met people, walked near the beach... while we watched the moon in silence. Next, i went to paris with my parents and my sister. Actually, i did not go to paris, i went to disneyland. We stayed there for four days, and it was really unforgettable. When i saw the park, i opened my eyes the most i could and i did not close them until the night at the hotel. I felt like a little girl again. Finally, i was in salou. My parents looked for a really relaxing time, and we were on the beach for some days. There, we did not visit anything, we were there just to rest. After those days, we came , and, unfortunately, we had to start our routines again.

Today I would like to begin with a story. There was once a physical therapist who traveled all the way from America to Africa to do a census about mountain gorillas. These gorillas are a main attraction to tourists from all over the world; this put them severely under threat of poaching and being put into the zoo. She went there out of curiosity, but what she saw strengthened her determination to devote her whole life to fighting for those beautiful creatures. She witnessed a scene, a scene taking us to a place we never imaged we've ever been, where in the very depth of the African rainforest, surrounded by trees, flowers and butterflies, the mother gorillas cuddled their babies.
Yes, that's a memorable scene in one of my favorite movies, called Gorillas in the Mist, based on a true story of Mrs. Diana Fossey, who spent most of her lifetime in Rwanda to protect the ecoenvironment there until the very end of her life.
To me, the movie not only presents an unforgettable scene but also acts as a timeless reminder that we should not develop the tourist industry at the cost of our eco-environment.
Today, we live in a world of prosperity but still threatened by so many new problems. On the one hand, tourism, as one of the most promising industries in the 21st century, provides people with the great opportunity to see everything there is to see and to go any place there is to go. It has become a lifestyle for some people, and has turned out to be the driving force in GDP growth. It has the magic to turn a backward town into a wonderland of prosperity. But on the other hand, many problems can occur - natural scenes aren't natural anymore. Deforestation to heat lodges are devastating Nepal. Oil spills from tourist boats are polluting Antarctica. Tribal people are forsaking their native music and dress to listen to U2 on Walkman and wear Nike and Reeboks.
All these appalling facts have brought us to the realization that we can no longer stand by and do nothing, because the very thought of it has been eroding our resources. Encouragingly, the explosive growth of global travel has put tourism again in the spotlight, which is why the United Nations has made 20xx the year of ecotourism, for the first time to bring to the world's attention the benefits of tourism, but also its capacity to destroy our ecoenvironment.
Now every year, many local ecoenvironmental protection organizations are receiving donations - big notes, small notes or even coins - from housewives, plumbers, ambulance drivers, salesmen, teachers, children and invalids. Some of them cannot afford to send the money but they do. These are the ones who drive the cabs, who nurse in hospitals, who are suffering from ecological damage in their neighborhood. Why? Because they care. Because they still want their Mother Nature back. Because they know it still belongs to them.
This kind of feeling that I have, ladies and gentlemen, is when it feels like it, smells like it, and looks like it , it's all coming from a scene to be remembered, a scene to recall and to cherish.
The other night, as I saw the moon linger over the land and before it was sent into the invisible, my mind was filled with songs. I found myself humming softly, not to the music, but to something else, someplace else, a place remembered, a place untouched, a field of grass where no one seemed to have been except the deer.
And all those unforgettable scenes strengthened the feeling that it's time for us to do something, for our own and our coming generation.
Once again, I have come to think of Mrs. Diana Fossey because it is with her spirit, passion, courage and strong sense of our ecoenvironment that we are taking our next step into the world.
And no matter who we are, what we do and where we go, in our minds, there's always a scene to remember, a scene worth our effort to protect it and fight for it.
