　　Some of these extend up to 20 miles into Cambodia. The sanctuaries are in red, and as you note, they are on both sides of the border. They are used for hit-and-run attacks on American and South Vietnamese forces in South Vietnam. These Communist-occupied territories contain major base camps, training sites, logistics facilities, weapons and ammunition factories, airstrips, and prisoner of war compounds.

　　從學(xué)生的家庭作業(yè)來看，我們的家長都非常重視孩子們的英語研究。大家都意識到英語研究不論是對我們的日常生活還是升學(xué)來說，都產(chǎn)生著重要的作用，有著重大的意義。而我們初中階段的教學(xué)目的在于培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的研究興趣、良好的語言慣、運(yùn)用英語進(jìn)行交際的能力以及跨文化意識。因此，我的課堂也是圍繞聽、說、讀、寫幾個方面對所學(xué)知識進(jìn)行操練和運(yùn)用。通過這兩個月的教學(xué)，我發(fā)現(xiàn)這一屆八年級的班主任都特別負(fù)責(zé)，班風(fēng)、學(xué)風(fēng)也很好，最重要的是絕大多數(shù)的同學(xué)自尊心強(qiáng)，上進(jìn)心強(qiáng)，這使我對他們充滿信心。但同樣也發(fā)現(xiàn)了以下問題：

　　1、研究態(tài)度不夠端正。部分學(xué)生對于學(xué)英語是抱著無所謂的態(tài)度，甚至?xí)�說“只要語文數(shù)學(xué)好就行了”，還有拖欠作業(yè)的.情況。

　　2、研究慣不夠好。我要求學(xué)生在學(xué)英語的時候要大聲的讀單詞和句子，有利于對單詞的記憶，并且能更好的集中注意力。但是有很多人沒有這種慣，聲音很小，眼睛盯著天花板，盯著窗戶讀的都有，甚至還有的同學(xué)邊發(fā)呆邊跟著讀，這樣就沒有效果。還存在著嚴(yán)重的畏難情緒，我給的問題或是閱讀材料還剛出來就有人抱怨“我不會做”、“這么難”、“看不懂”，我會反問他們“你還沒看題怎么知道不會做?遇到困難首先想到的不是解決問題而是逃避，那么你永遠(yuǎn)不會進(jìn)步”。這幾天這種情況已經(jīng)減少了很多。

　　3、少數(shù)同學(xué)基礎(chǔ)不好。到現(xiàn)在26個字母還讀不全、默不全。這也是頗讓人頭疼的問題。

　　4、閱讀本領(lǐng)欠佳。閱讀在今后的升學(xué)考試，包括中考、高考、研究生考試以及大學(xué)英語四、六級考試中都占據(jù)很大的分值。但我們的學(xué)生對于閱讀暫時還沒有概念。我要求他們把閱讀材料讀三遍，第一遍泛讀，也就是欣賞;第二遍精讀，把生詞劃出來，根據(jù)上下文理解單詞的意思;第三遍回答題目，可是很少有同學(xué)可以嚴(yán)厲按照要求完成，往往是讀了一遍就不想讀了。

　　針對以上問題，我也研究了一些方法和策略，需要各位家長的配合和支持。

　　1、督促學(xué)生在家聽英語磁帶，每周不少于1小時，最好能每天堅(jiān)持聽10——15分鐘，這將對孩子的研究有很大幫助。

　　2.督促學(xué)生在家背英語單詞、短語及課文，因?yàn)樵谛�學(xué)生的背書時間太少，所以家長要配合老師在家里聽寫孩子的單詞和短語。

　　3、爭取消化當(dāng)天所學(xué)的單詞，不要積壓任務(wù)。我會在每單元結(jié)束的時候組織一次聽寫，并要肄業(yè)生帶回家給家長過目。

　　4、請家長催促孩子在家里完成家庭作業(yè)，以免他們來學(xué)校在匆忙之中相互抄襲。有時的默寫作業(yè)我也會煩請各位家長簽字，這也是為了給學(xué)生一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)壓力，讓他們知道父母會經(jīng)常檢查他們的作業(yè)本，一定要認(rèn)真寫才行。家長可以讓學(xué)生自己默寫或者報中文意思都可以，但最重要的是在學(xué)生默完后，催促他們對著書本更正。我發(fā)現(xiàn)，八年級的很多家長都非常負(fù)責(zé)，他們曾經(jīng)在這么做了，而且做得很好! 4、每一個單元都有閱讀的部分，并且附有課后題。如果你的孩子英語基礎(chǔ)不是很好，可以督促他們先在家查字典，做適當(dāng)?shù)念A(yù)。

　　在英語課堂上，大部分學(xué)生都能很活躍的回答老師提出的問題，積極跟著老師拼讀單詞，朗讀課文。其實(shí)這也制造了一種假象，學(xué)生認(rèn)為自己常常被老師提問，認(rèn)為自己能夠回答老師的問題，于是認(rèn)為自己的英語學(xué)得很不錯，自我感覺特別好。于是下課后在英語上花的時間就少了。其實(shí)要學(xué)好英語，課上占40%，其余的60%還需要學(xué)生在課后不斷的鞏固，加深記憶。在課上老師更多的是教授

　　新知識，當(dāng)然課上也會有少量的時間鞏固新學(xué)的知識。但是這些時間是公共的時間，而不是每個學(xué)生私有的時間，所以不可能照顧到每個學(xué)生，不可能讓所有學(xué)生都達(dá)到相同的程度。況且每個學(xué)生對新知識得接受能力都是不同的，有的可能當(dāng)堂就已經(jīng)有很深的印象，很難忘記，但這肯定是很少的。大部分學(xué)生都只能是初步接觸了新知識，要真正接受新知識還要學(xué)生在課后多下功夫，不然肯定會和別的同學(xué)拉下差距。

　　那么在課后學(xué)生到底該怎么做才能把其余的60%補(bǔ)回來呢?英語畢竟不是我們自己的語言，大多數(shù)學(xué)生除了英語課其余時間根本就不會想到要說英語，所以，在課后一定要主動抽時間為自己補(bǔ)習(xí)英語。學(xué)好英語，不外乎就是在聽，說，讀，寫這些方面下功夫。

　　首先說一下聽，每個學(xué)生都有和書相配套的磁帶，可是請各位家長檢查一下自己的子女的英語磁帶，有多少學(xué)生的磁帶還是和剛發(fā)的時候一樣的，根本就沒有聽過。不要說另外買什么英語聽力磁帶或者英語學(xué)習(xí)的碟片了，連自己手頭的磁帶都不去聽，光靠上課聽一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)的磁帶，學(xué)生的聽力根本就不能有什么發(fā)展。不會聽就不能說，而說白了，學(xué)了英語就是要說，那不是白學(xué)了么?聽錄音機(jī)跟讀，目的應(yīng)該是兩種，一種同學(xué)是上課沒有完全消化，聽錄音是補(bǔ)充學(xué)習(xí)的過程，另外一種是提高自己的聽力和口語表達(dá)能力，要學(xué)生盡力地去模仿錄音機(jī)里的發(fā)音，從而使自己的聽力和口語都提高一個層次。我確信：英語要學(xué)好和智商無關(guān)，學(xué)不好英語的人都是懶惰的人

　　接下來是說，英語是一門語言，學(xué)了就是要說，要和別人交流。我們學(xué)的英語不應(yīng)該是啞巴英語，要讓每個學(xué)生學(xué)會勇敢地說出來。在課上我會用各種方法來刺激學(xué)生，激發(fā)他們說英語的積極性，大多數(shù)學(xué)生也確實(shí)做得很好�？墒前嗉壚锶硕�，對每個人來說，說的機(jī)會就少。所以下課也要說;放學(xué)回家也要說。在學(xué)校，我鼓勵學(xué)生把所學(xué)的英語對話運(yùn)用到生活中去，這樣有更真實(shí)的情景，更能讓學(xué)生有發(fā)揮的余地。在家里，希望家長也能鼓勵學(xué)生說英語，也許你會說你自己也聽不懂，請不要這樣想，其實(shí)學(xué)生需要是你的鼓勵，你聽了他們說的只要簡單表揚(yáng)一句，他們就會很滿足了。有時候你們也可以不懂裝懂，或者還可以讓學(xué)生反過來教你，他們會覺得很自豪，因?yàn)樽约核鶎W(xué)得派上了用場。

　　接下來是讀。有句話：“讀書破萬卷，下筆如有神。”學(xué)英語也是這樣，很多家長也明白，學(xué)英語要培養(yǎng)語感，也就是語言的感覺，如果有很好的語感，那么不管是說話，做題目，還是寫文章，都很輕松，很簡單了。那么語感怎么來呢?就是靠讀出來的。一定要讓學(xué)生養(yǎng)成每天讀英語的習(xí)慣，這是學(xué)英語的最基本的學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣了。每天早上一定要讀20分鐘左右的英語，并且每天都堅(jiān)持，絕不因任何原因間斷。無論什么事情都貴在堅(jiān)持嘛。如果你的子女還沒有養(yǎng)成這樣的學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣，請你一定要督促他，剛開始也許會比較難，時間久了，就會習(xí)慣成自然。就像早上起來要刷牙洗臉一樣，要讓他們把讀英語當(dāng)作每天必做的一件事。最后我想和各位家長共同分享一句名言：播種一種行為，收獲一種習(xí)慣；播種一種習(xí)慣，收獲一種性格；播種一種性格，收獲一種命運(yùn)。給孩子打下銅底鐵幫的江山，不如送他一生都受用不盡的好品德好習(xí)慣。養(yǎng)成凡事追求卓越的好習(xí)慣，成功就變成自然而然的事情。

　　China is faced with some enormous challenges as it enters the 21st century. In order to ensure the prosperity of our nation and its future generations we must confront and ultimately solve these challenges.

　　Some of the more pressing issues facing China are universal. These include environmental degradation, over population and the effects of globalization.

　　To overcome some of the things we need to implement include:

　　Enhancing our scientific and industrial technologies in such areas as IT, Bio- tech, AI and Cybernetics.

　　Further develop public infrastructure in under developed regions.

　　Promote education reform at all levels.

　　Introduce sustainable development initiatives.

　　The implementation of free trade agreement between China and ASEAN.

　　The benefit to China in introducing these initiatives will be significant and far-reaching. It is important to realize that these initiatives need to filter down through all elements of the society in China. For instance, cutting edge technologies and intellectual properties; the development of e-commerce based economy; an education system that encourages innovation and creativity; increased foreign investment; higher living standards; more efficient use of natural resources.

　　It is important for us to realize these reforms are both essential and necessary. These will help China to fulfill its vast and unrealized potential on the world stage. It will also contribute more to a globalized world of the new century.

　　As for the future our task is not to foresee but to enable.

　　but one hundred years later, the negro still is not free. one hundred years later, the life of the negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination. one hundred years later, the negro lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. one hundred years later, the negro is still languished in the corners of american society and finds himself an exile in his own land. and so we've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

　　in a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. when the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution and the declaration of independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every american was to fall heir. this note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the "unalienable rights" of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." it is obvious today that america has defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. instead of honoring this sacred obligation, america has given the negro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked "insufficient funds."

　　but we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. we refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. and so, we've come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice.

　　we have also come to this hallowed spot to remind america of the fierce urgency of now. this is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. now is the time to make justice a reality for all of god's children.
