　　do you often use batteries? then do you know it takes 50 times more energyto make them than they produce? and just one simple battery can pollute as muchwater as a person can drink in his whole life. the facts and figures areamazing. so would you please try to use batteries only when it is necessary? ifpossible, give the used ones to the recycling companies so that they will bemade into new ones and won’t be able to pollute the environment any more.sometimes we become complacent when it comes to recycling, but when you speak interms of actual facts and figures that everybody can understand, people becomemuch clearer about the problem.

　　we, as school students, can also join in recycling activities to protectthe environment. for example, our class set up a recycling center beside theback door, it is very useful. it is used to collect the waste paper and plasticbottles. in the past, our classmates used to throw all of these into thetrashcan. at the very beginning of this collecting activity, it was not sowarm-welcomed. later, more and more people were influenced by the others andjoined this collecting activity. gradually, all the students in our class form agood habit to protect the environment. all of us will now put away the reusablethings instead of throwing them into the trashcan.

　　we should always remember in our mind that protecting the environment isour duty that we can never neglect. finally would you please let me end thisspeech with a little poem, “be kind to the river. be good to the trees. smile atthe sunshine, and bow to the breeze. be friendly to nature, and nature will befriendly to you!”

　　現(xiàn)在，我們在馬路上經(jīng)常會看到環(huán)衛(wèi)工人垃圾車上的“保護(hù)環(huán)境，人人有責(zé)。”這句標(biāo)語，但是我們這個城市這么大，除了環(huán)衛(wèi)工人外，又有多少個人做到了保護(hù)環(huán)境呢?如果人人都做到保護(hù)環(huán)境，那我們這個城市還會存在垃圾嗎?還會有環(huán)衛(wèi)工人要保護(hù)環(huán)境嗎?我們的學(xué)校也是這樣的，如果我們都不亂扔垃圾，還會有垃圾的存在嗎?還會有值周生每天都要撿紙嗎?如果人人都不買零食，那我們的校園還會存在有零食包裝袋嗎?如果我們一心要保護(hù)環(huán)境，那么我來給你們提幾點(diǎn)建議：

　　自己首先要做到不隨手亂扔，不買零食，不隨地吐痰，珍惜現(xiàn)在我們僅存有的糧食、水、電等自熱資源，多植樹造林來凈化我們使我們讓臭河散發(fā)出來的臭味。

　　我們要珍惜水資源，讓樹林來改變每一條臭河流，讓他們變成一條條清澈的河流，因?yàn)槊恳粭l清澈的河流就會供許多人喝上甘甜的河水，并且把他們的生命延續(xù)下來。

　　我們要珍惜每一棵大樹，因?yàn)榇髽洳粌H僅可以創(chuàng)造建筑物，而且還可以為我們制造每一張紙，供我們來用，所以我們要保護(hù)校園、地球上的每一棵大樹，讓他們供我們用!

　　作為育才學(xué)校的一員，我有責(zé)任保護(hù)校園環(huán)境，請本校的所有教師與學(xué)生共同攜起手來，共同保護(hù)我們一起生活的環(huán)境吧!
