　　英語(yǔ)短文閱讀的重要性不僅表現(xiàn)在高中英語(yǔ)考試中它的份量最大，而且還表現(xiàn)在英語(yǔ)短文是英語(yǔ)詞匯知識(shí)和語(yǔ)法知識(shí)的載體方面。詞匯量的擴(kuò)大、詞匯知識(shí)的豐富和句子表達(dá)的多樣性光靠死記硬背是無(wú)法也不可能實(shí)現(xiàn)的。擴(kuò)大詞匯量、豐富自己的詞匯知識(shí)和地道完美的表達(dá)自己只有依靠?jī)?yōu)良的閱讀習(xí)慣。教材課文是精讀材料，需要同學(xué)們讀熟讀透，直至能開(kāi)口娓娓道來(lái)為止。課外閱讀又叫泛讀。高中英語(yǔ)新課標(biāo)教材對(duì)高中前八個(gè)模塊的學(xué)習(xí)有一個(gè)要求：課外閱讀要完成30萬(wàn)單詞的閱讀量。也就是說(shuō)：同學(xué)們需要每天有500到700個(gè)單詞量的閱讀。課外閱讀也是運(yùn)用語(yǔ)言的一種必不可少的形式。課外閱讀不能停留在完成幾道閱讀理解試題或者完形填空試題。關(guān)鍵在盡量弄懂文章中的每一句話(huà)含義、長(zhǎng)難句的結(jié)構(gòu)。留意你還不很熟悉的詞匯、詞匯知識(shí)和語(yǔ)法知識(shí)。還要去認(rèn)真體會(huì)不同的英語(yǔ)句子在表達(dá)上的精確性。千萬(wàn)不要在一些你還不認(rèn)識(shí)的，拼寫(xiě)怪誕，發(fā)音困難的生僻詞匯上浪費(fèi)時(shí)間和精力。

　　二、落實(shí)課外閱讀。每天堅(jiān)持花半小時(shí)閱讀一兩篇短文。一要真正讀懂。二要留意詞匯運(yùn)用。

　　三、落實(shí)早自習(xí)精讀。每次有硬指標(biāo)，死任務(wù)。

　　16years ago, my mother visited one of the grassland of Inner Mongolia. She said that no words could describe it’s stunning natural charm. With her description firmly printed on my mind I began to long for a tour to the grassland.

　　Sadly, this marvelous image that I had in my mind changed completely when my mum and I visited the grassland a year ago. As soon as we got there, I couldn’t believe my eyes. What was in front of me was just a piece of land with loosely grown grass. In the far distance I saw only a couple of horses feeding lazily. I asked my mother: “Where is the lush, tall grass?” As puzzled as me, she said nothing. I was shocked to see the differences between the grassland in my dream and what was in front of me.

　　On the way home, I thought a lot and tried to find answers.

　　Now I am old enough to bring awareness to other people and share my dream for the grasslands. Overgrazing and extensive farming have ruined the grassland and so taken away the charm of our homeland. But I am confident that one day the grasslands will recover and its true wealth and beauty will be realized as long as everybody gives his contribution to restore our homeland.

　　living at present demands the courage to throw away useless encumbrances of the past , to accept what is unchangeable, to change what is chnageable, and to learn from the past which should be a lesson. ,instead of an obstacle.

　　living at present also requires the wisdom to concentrate on the present ,preparing for the future and courageously displaying the patience to wait for tomorrow.

　　over a long period of time, taking care of my little brother and making money at university push me too hard ,and i was so exhausted and anxious that i couldn't even sleep though my sleeping time is extremely limited.eventually, i came to realize that i must lay off the mental burdens like worries from the past and concerns for the future and live at present. i need just to realise that i am on my way to my destination.; because i now know, that my top concern is "living at present "!
