　　During the winter holiday, I was very happy because of the Chinese new year and other reasons. During the holiday, my parents and I went back to my hometown in the countryside in Hebei Province. I had not come back for several years, so that I was so surprised to find that great changes had taken place in this small village in the past years. Almost every family in the village had color TV set and some of them had computers. Many families had their houses newly built or rebuilt. Previously,could be seen everywhere, but now they have taken on an entirely newlook. Motorcycles or even private cars are not luxuries any more.

　　One of the villagers proudly told me that he and some other villagers were going to join a tour and travel abroad. Previously, the villagers were busy in their farm work all the year round, but now they have much more time and money to relax or entertain. Traveling has become a new trend among villagers. Seeing these amazing changes, my father said that he would go back to my hometown as soon as he retired. As for me, I strongly supported his idea.

　　寒假期間，因?yàn)榇汗?jié)和其他原因我很開心。假期期間，我父母和我回到河北的鄉(xiāng)下老家。我已經(jīng)好幾年沒回去了，所以看到過去這些年這座小村莊發(fā)生的巨大變化我感到很驚訝。幾乎村里的每一戶人家都有彩電，有的還有了電腦。很多家庭都有了新建的或重建的房子。以前，老式瓦房隨處可見，但是現(xiàn)在它們看上去完全是一幅新的景象。摩托車或者甚至是私家車也已不再是奢侈品了。

　　一位村民驕傲地告訴我他和其他一些村民跟團(tuán)出國(guó)旅游了。以前，村民們一整年都忙于農(nóng)活，但是現(xiàn)在它們有更多時(shí)間和錢去放松娛樂。旅游已經(jīng)成為在村民當(dāng)中已經(jīng)成為一種新潮流了。看到這些驚人的變化，我爸爸說他一退休就想回到家鄉(xiāng)。而我也強(qiáng)烈支持他的觀點(diǎn)。

　　I was so busy in the previous winter holiday for I am going to take the university entrance exam in July this year. Everyday, I buried myself in studying. I had to review each required subject and do lots of exercises. Besides, because I did bad in mathematics and physics, I had to do much more exercises than other courses, which made me discouraged. I spent more than ten hours a day in studying. When I was tired, I watched TV or listened to music for a little while. But It was a big pity that I couldn't go to the see cinema. In addition, I had to refuse all the invitations of friends and relatives. I only called them or sent messages in the New Year’s Eve. I desperately hoped that there is no exam but I know it’s impossible. The only thing I can do is to study hard to get good scores and can be admitted to Tsinghua University.

　　上個(gè)寒假我很忙，因?yàn)榻衲?月我就要參加高考了。每天我都沉浸在學(xué)習(xí)當(dāng)中。我必須復(fù)習(xí)每個(gè)要求的科目還要做很多練習(xí)。此外，因?yàn)槲覕?shù)學(xué)和物理很差，我要做比其他科更多的練習(xí)，這使我很喪氣。我每天花超過十個(gè)小時(shí)學(xué)習(xí)。當(dāng)我累的時(shí)候，我就看一小會(huì)電視或者聽音樂。但是遺憾的是我不能去看電影。另外，我不得不拒絕所有親戚和朋友的邀請(qǐng)。除夕之夜我只能給他們打電話或者發(fā)短信。我很希望沒有考試，但是我知道這是不可能的。我唯一能做的就是努力學(xué)習(xí)，取得好成績(jī)，錄取清華大學(xué)。

　　It was a very busy evening. I was doing my homework at my home. My father was writing a composition in the study room. My mother was interested in Shanghai opera. She was watching a Shanghai opera contest. The apartment was very quiet. Suddenly the light went out. It was a blackout, but I liked it very much. It came and I didn’t have to do my homework. We went to the living room very slowly. After 5 minutes, we all sat in the sofa. It was a lucky, fortunate day. I said that let’s held a concert. My parents agreed with me. I took out some candles and lighted up. We were singing, laughing and talking. We had a really good time. But while I was singing, the light suddenly turned on. Oh, my God. My father went back to his room went on writing. My mother turned on the TV and said to me “Dear, do your homework!” I felt very frustrated. I sat at the desk and thought I hated light. I hoped there would be a blackout the next day. I thought I would enjoy myself more and more. I went into a dream……

　　今晚真是個(gè)忙碌的晚上。我正在家里寫作業(yè)，我爸爸正在書房里寫作文。我媽媽對(duì)上海歌劇感興趣。她正在看上海歌劇比賽。公寓非常安靜。突然間斷電了。一切都黑麻麻的，但是我很喜歡。斷電了，我就可以不用寫作業(yè)了。我們慢慢的走向起居室。五分鐘后，我們都坐在沙發(fā)上。這是一個(gè)既幸運(yùn)又倒霉的一天。我說讓我們開個(gè)音樂會(huì)。 我父母都同意了。我拿出一些蠟燭并點(diǎn)燃它們。我們唱歌，大笑，聊天。我們都玩得很開心但是當(dāng)我在唱歌時(shí)，燈突然亮了。哦，我的上帝啊。我爸爸繼續(xù)回房間寫作文。我媽媽開著電視并對(duì)我說“親愛的，去寫作業(yè)!”我覺得很沮喪。我坐在桌子邊，想我恨燈光。我希望第二天還能夠斷電。我覺得我會(huì)越來越開心的。我陷入了夢(mèng)境…………
