　　大家早上好!

　　今天我講話的主題是“有始有終，定能成功”。古希臘哲學(xué)家蘇格拉底曾經(jīng)在中學(xué)當(dāng)教師，有一天他對(duì)班里同學(xué)說，我們來(lái)做個(gè)甩手游戲吧。游戲很簡(jiǎn)單，就是把手使勁往前甩三百下，再往后甩三百下，但要求每天都這樣做。同學(xué)們紛紛說這個(gè)游戲容易，保證能做好。一個(gè)星期以后，蘇格拉底問同學(xué)們游戲完成得怎么樣?同學(xué)們?nèi)�都舉起了手。一個(gè)月以后，當(dāng)蘇格拉底再做統(tǒng)計(jì)時(shí)，全班仍有百分之九十的同學(xué)在堅(jiān)持做。一年以后，當(dāng)蘇格拉底在課堂上再次向大家了解情況時(shí)，只有一位同學(xué)舉起手，他就是后來(lái)成為大哲學(xué)家的亞里士多德。亞里士多德在自己的學(xué)習(xí)和生活中，憑著這種持之以恒的精神，自覺鍛煉自己的意志，終于在哲學(xué)領(lǐng)域取得了前所未有的成就，其哲學(xué)思想直到現(xiàn)在仍然放射著智慧的光芒。

　　同學(xué)們，這個(gè)甩手游戲從動(dòng)作上看很簡(jiǎn)單，但每天堅(jiān)持，卻是一件不容易的事，需要持之以恒的精神。這個(gè)故事告訴我們，做事情要有始有終，絕不能半途而廢，如果我們能養(yǎng)成這樣的好習(xí)慣，就一定會(huì)取得好成績(jī)。人們常說，在科學(xué)之路上沒有平坦的大道，只有敢于在崎嶇的小路上不斷攀登的人，才能到達(dá)希望的頂點(diǎn)。讓我們認(rèn)準(zhǔn)自己的努力目標(biāo)，堅(jiān)持不懈地努力，不斷地鼓勵(lì)自己，這樣我們就會(huì)體驗(yàn)到成功的喜悅和收獲的快樂。

　　仰觀宇宙之大，縱論古今名人，凡是功成卓絕之人，他們都有一個(gè)成功的秘訣，那就是堅(jiān)持!

　　堅(jiān)持是取得成功的必備素質(zhì)。它猶如一條紅線，貫穿了始終，是長(zhǎng)久不變的意志表現(xiàn)。“騏驥一躍，不能十步;駑馬十駕，功在不舍。鍥而舍之，朽木不折;鍥而不舍，金石可鏤!”這句話充分說明了一個(gè)人如果有恒心，一些困難的事情便可以做到;沒有恒心，再簡(jiǎn)單的事也做不成。

　　總覽古今中外，大凡有成就的人，無(wú)不具有堅(jiān)持的精神。《史記》這部鴻篇巨著被世人稱之為“史家之絕唱，無(wú)韻之離騷”，可你知道，它是司馬遷耗費(fèi)了17年的時(shí)間，不顧宮刑的折磨，嘔心瀝血的杰作。更有李白鐵杵成針，屈原洞中苦讀，匡衡鑿壁偷光，他們的精神印證了“貴有恒，何必三更五更睡，最無(wú)益，只怕一日曝十日寒”的真理。他們用行動(dòng)告訴我們，只要有滴水穿石的精神，持之以恒，成功不會(huì)遙遠(yuǎn)。英國(guó)首相丘吉爾在面對(duì)德國(guó)法西斯的瘋狂進(jìn)攻時(shí)，就曾對(duì)他的國(guó)民說過：“不要屈服，永遠(yuǎn)不可屈服�！边@不但是一句振奮人心的豪言壯語(yǔ)，也是他最重要的人生總結(jié)，體現(xiàn)了他堅(jiān)持到底的精神。大家都熟悉愚公移山的故事，愚公之所以能夠感動(dòng)天帝，移走太行、王屋二山。正是因?yàn)樗�具有鍥而不舍的精神�？梢�，成功離不開堅(jiān)持。

　　學(xué)習(xí)也一樣，學(xué)習(xí)不是一朝一夕的事情，學(xué)習(xí)中感到枯燥在所難免，很多人都因半途而廢，而最終一無(wú)所獲或收益甚少。不少同學(xué)知道學(xué)習(xí)很重要，但是學(xué)習(xí)累了，作業(yè)多了，就失去學(xué)習(xí)的興趣，就變得懶惰。究其根本，就是缺乏持之以恒的精神。學(xué)習(xí)需要恒心，需要持之以恒。在任何條件下，都向著自己的奮斗目標(biāo)堅(jiān)持不懈地努力，永不退縮。如果在學(xué)習(xí)中總是知難而退，半途而廢，那么就永遠(yuǎn)不會(huì)取得好成績(jī)。在學(xué)習(xí)中，我們要堅(jiān)持把每一課學(xué)好，堅(jiān)持克服每一個(gè)困難，堅(jiān)持地朝自己定下的目標(biāo)前進(jìn)，總有一天可以把鐵杵磨成針，把金石打磨穿。學(xué)習(xí)很苦，卻又不苦，只要有堅(jiān)持不懈地決心，那些學(xué)習(xí)中的困難也不過是腳下一粒石子，如果遇到困難就放，那困難就是眼前的高山。

　　水是大地的血脈，它滋潤(rùn)著崇山峻嶺，灌溉著良田;水是一切生命的源泉，它養(yǎng)育著飛禽走獸，哺育著花草樹木;水是人類文明的搖籃，在人類文明的發(fā)展，因?yàn)樗�環(huán)境的變化，導(dǎo)致一個(gè)國(guó)家一個(gè)民族盛衰變遷的例證舉不勝舉。源遠(yuǎn)流長(zhǎng)的中華文明，也正是依存長(zhǎng)江、黃河等母親河的支撐，而發(fā)展下來(lái)的。

　　長(zhǎng)期以來(lái)，人們普遍都認(rèn)為水是“取之不盡，用之不竭”的。其實(shí)我們地球雖被稱之為“水球”，但其淡水儲(chǔ)量卻是少之又少!水資源并不是“取之不盡，用之不竭”的，水將成為21世紀(jì)威脅世界和平影響社會(huì)發(fā)展的障礙。

　　所以在全球的水資源危機(jī)日益嚴(yán)重的情況下，節(jié)約用水便成為每個(gè)公民應(yīng)盡的職責(zé)。尤其在中國(guó)，水資源的人均占有量并不豐富，淡水資源不到世界人均水量的1/4;地區(qū)分布并不均勻，年內(nèi)變化莫測(cè)，年際差別非常之大，每年受旱農(nóng)田32億畝，約有5000萬(wàn)人和3000萬(wàn)頭牲畜面臨水荒。再加上污染，使水資源更加緊缺，所以人們更應(yīng)該節(jié)約用水。如果大家能夠從我做起，從現(xiàn)在做起，從身邊做起，牢固樹立節(jié)約意識(shí)，從節(jié)約一滴水、一粒米、一度電、一張紙入手，把節(jié)約落到實(shí)處。如果這樣，對(duì)學(xué)校來(lái)說，那將是一筆可觀的財(cái)富，對(duì)于我們這個(gè)13億人口的大國(guó)來(lái)說，那就是一個(gè)驚人的數(shù)字。

　　節(jié)約是一種美德，節(jié)約是一種智慧，節(jié)約更應(yīng)該成為一種習(xí)慣和風(fēng)氣。建設(shè)節(jié)約型社會(huì)需要全社會(huì)的共同參與和共同行動(dòng)，找回失去的節(jié)約意識(shí)，從身邊的點(diǎn)點(diǎn)滴滴開始，持之以恒，在建設(shè)節(jié)約型社會(huì)中，將節(jié)約這個(gè)“傳_”進(jìn)一步發(fā)揚(yáng)光大!

　　I am losing friends left and right, well, actually, only left. Some friendships, however, have been strengthened during this election.

　　When I was 6, I learned a song: "Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other's gold." Even as a child, I was a born raconteur, so I always had lots of friends. But, by the time I got to fourth grade, I was already getting into political brawls. Early on, I began living my politically active mother's joke, "My name, it opens some doors and closes others."

　　I learned to tone it down a bit by the time I got to college. As a theater major, it was fun in an acting class one day, when we each had to pretend to be another student. I chose to mimic a beautiful petite girl with long dark hair. She was my polar opposite, this former cheerleader-turned-hippie-princess named Michelle. She got a kick out of my impression of her. I thought it was cool that she could laugh at herself. We began a friendship that has brought us to the present day.

　　Yet we were always opposites. I am Roman Catholic, she is Jewish. I am tall, she is short. One rainy afternoon on campus, Michelle insisted on carrying the umbrella for both of us, (I don't think I stood up straight until the next day!)

　　Back then, she was as passionate a Democrat as I was a Republican. However, my friend and I still had something in common that was more important than all the differences. We shared the same values and they showed up in a dozen little ways. That is why we are friends almost 30 years later. Furthermore, she had been moving in my direction politically before, but Sept. 11, 20xx, brought us to a new level of communication. We have bonded even more during this election.

　　Sadly, I also have re-evaluated some other friendships as tensions increased due to the Kerry-Edwards demagoguery. This is the first time in memory that I've even been appalled by both spouses of the Democratic ticket. I rather liked Tipper Gore and Hadassa Lieberman. I thought they were sweet. And that's the way I used to feel about my liberal pals. But, now a Teresa Heinz-Kerry-like irrationality/Elizabeth Edwards snotty innuendo has infected some of them -- and it makes them unpleasant to be around.

　　This election may leave those friendships in its wake. The outlook is definitely not good for their Christmas card inclusion.

　　Sept. 11, Iraq, the demonization of Israel by Kerry's European fans, the beheadings -- all of the latter just doesn't seem to change the '90s mentality of those I know who are voting for the Democratic Party ticket. Like Kerry, they still seem to consider the United States' life-and-death struggle a nuisance. These liberal friends of mine are certainly not bad people, but deep down, they still don't get that we are at war with a greater evil than any of us has ever known. Combined with the extremism culturally on the left, these people are becoming more than a nuisance themselves.

　　The sobering fact is that these friendships are just too taxing (in both senses of that word). Those relationships have become like old prom dresses in that they just don't fit anymore. There comes a point where some associations can become a fire hazard in one's closet. It may be time to do spring cleaning, even if the season is autumn.

　　Sure, friends can't agree on everything, nor are they supposed to but though I may think someone's a nice person, fun, etc., increasingly deep differences in our world view can't be ignored in these frightening times.

　　Three decades later, Michelle is no longer the shorter-than-me actress who insisted on carrying the umbrella as we walked to class, though she is still shorter than me. But she and I easily walk together under an umbrella of shared concerns. A few weeks ago we sat side by side at a most moving event celebrating Jewish and Christian support of Israel and each other.

　　Yet, we still live very different lives. My college friend has been married for 25 years to the love of her life, the mother of three and an executive in an entertainment corporation. And meanwhile her single free-lancing writer/actress friend, even after all these years still does impressions of her only in print now.

　　Happily, others have also come along to become comrades in arms this election. They represent a diversity in lifestyle that would warm any liberal's heart (although said liberal wouldn't warm our hearts). There's Genie the stockbroker, Cathy the casting director, Robin the mom of one of my former acting students, Sally the daughter of one of my mother's old friends and many others. Their e-mail messages and calls let me know that though other friendships may wither during this election, I'm hardly alone. They all have a point of view that enables us to skip to shorthand. ("Did you read Drudge?" "Yep!") All of these women make up my own personal non-elitist version of "The View, The Conservative Cut."

　　Yes, now those old children's lyrics resonate with a new meaning in "Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other is gold." Regretfully, without shared values even after this tumultuous election of 20xx, some friendships may have turned to a tin that rings hollow in these perilous times.

　　By the way, I recently chatted with one of those former Brownies who sang with me so long ago, She is a "security mom." She is voting for George W. Bush and she will definitely be included on my Christmas card list.

　　Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .

　　Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

　　When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

　　下午好!我演講的題目是《信念的力量》。

　　有這樣一種力量，它可以使人在黑暗中不停止摸索，在失敗中不放棄奮斗，在挫折中不忘卻追求。在它面前，天大的困難微不足道，無(wú)邊的艱險(xiǎn)不足為奇。這種力量，就叫信念。

　　俄國(guó)的列賓曾經(jīng)說過：沒有原則的人是無(wú)用的人，沒有信念的人是空虛的廢物。就從我們古代說起吧：兩千多年前的漢朝著名史學(xué)家司馬遷，因“李陵事件”下獄，受了宮刑。應(yīng)該說，人世間沒有比這更大的恥辱了。可是他沒有消沉，忍辱含垢，披肝瀝膽，專心著述整整十一年，終于寫成了《史記》那部五十二萬(wàn)字的鴻篇巨著。這需要多么大的毅力啊!假如他不是為了“究天下之際，通古今之變，成一家之言”，恐怕早就自盡身亡了。這就是信念的力量。

　　再來(lái)說說近代，我們敬愛的周恩來(lái)。他是真正稱得上，為他所信仰的共產(chǎn)主義事義奮斗一生的人。在他生命的最后時(shí)刻，他還要求身邊的工作人員為他播放《國(guó)際歌》。當(dāng)那磅礴的旋律盈滿一室時(shí)，的嘴唇分明還在翕xi動(dòng)，在吟唱!在連放三遍后，對(duì)守在身邊的鄧穎超同志說：“我堅(jiān)信全世界共產(chǎn)主義一定能實(shí)現(xiàn)。”雖然，講這個(gè)話的聲音很細(xì)微，卻給身邊的人震動(dòng)很大。已近彌留階段的他，最后唱這支歌，顯示了真正不移的信念。人生盡可信念不同，能夠?yàn)樾拍願(yuàn)^斗終身，奉獻(xiàn)一切，那么，就連他的敵人也會(huì)為他的人格肅然起敬。

　　安全，對(duì)于我們學(xué)校來(lái)說是個(gè)老生常談的話題，也是一個(gè)永恒的主題。安全是大事，是關(guān)系到千家萬(wàn)戶的大事，是利在當(dāng)前，功在千秋的大事。安全是學(xué)校工作的前提，沒有平安和諧的良好氛圍，就難以有正常的教學(xué)秩序，就難以提升教學(xué)質(zhì)量。因此，學(xué)校領(lǐng)導(dǎo)深刻體會(huì)安全的重要性，切實(shí)把安全工作落到實(shí)處，讓安全工作取得實(shí)實(shí)在在的效果。

　　As students,we could share more time with our friends.The friendship in our young hearts is pure,fresh and simple.I often feel very lucky to have a lot of good friends.Especially when I had Justin as one of my best friends.Justin was my English teacher from the USA.I met him in 1996 when I was a student who could only speak very little English.Justin was a vivid young man with a bright smile on his face,and he always had his special way to make the class active and attractive.He taught us English by telling stories,playing games,singing songs,and even dancing.I could still remember very clearly that one afternoon when we fin-ished our class,we went to some other classes to sing songs for them,just like what people do in the states on Christmas Eve.It was so interesting and unforgettable.Justin was an excellent teacher,because he taught us not only how to study English well,but also the way to find out the beauty of the world and the way to be angels to others' lives.I know there was friendship and pure love in our hearts.Facing this valuable emotion neither nationality nor age was important,the real importance lay in faith,under-standing,and care.Justin is the best friend I have ever had,and I know I will cherish those days of staying together with him as the best part of my memory.

　　今天我講話的題目是《多讀多寫 學(xué)好語(yǔ)文》。

　　近年來(lái)，學(xué)校開展了書香校園、書香班級(jí)、書香家庭的創(chuàng)建活動(dòng)，同學(xué)們?cè)诶蠋熀图议L(zhǎng)的引領(lǐng)下在書海中盡情遨游，在閱讀中提高素養(yǎng)�？墒侨杂胁簧偻瑢W(xué)也許會(huì)犯愁：學(xué)語(yǔ)文，寫作文。唉，作文難，作文難，一見作文心就煩。提起筆來(lái)，冥思苦想，搜腸刮肚，半天過去了，仍是白紙一張。其實(shí)老師告訴你們寫作文并不難，學(xué)語(yǔ)文也沒有什么高深莫測(cè)的訣竅，只要你記住了并做到了這么簡(jiǎn)簡(jiǎn)單單、樸樸素素、實(shí)實(shí)在在的四個(gè)字，那就是——多讀多寫。

　　那么，怎樣讀，怎樣寫呢?我建議大家做到以下幾點(diǎn)：

　　1.閱讀要廣泛 俗話說，開卷有益。古今中外，凡是有成就者無(wú)一不是從閱讀中獲得了廣博的知識(shí)和驚世的睿智與韜略。我國(guó)古代詩(shī)仙李白讀書時(shí)孜孜不倦;“下筆如有神”的詩(shī)圣杜甫也是“讀書破萬(wàn)卷”;文壇巨匠魯迅直至生命最后一刻還要讀書。試想，如果他們不是從幼年即勤奮地閱讀，在他們的筆下會(huì)流淌出酣暢淋漓、膾炙人口的千古佳作嗎?我們不光要熟讀每學(xué)期老師分發(fā)給我們的語(yǔ)文書，還要誦讀唐詩(shī)宋詞，品讀中外名著，略讀報(bào)刊雜志等等。像我們二、四兩個(gè)年級(jí)的同學(xué)參加了語(yǔ)文主題學(xué)習(xí)實(shí)驗(yàn)，除了學(xué)好教材中的課文，每學(xué)期還閱讀了兩本(四本)主題閱讀叢書，實(shí)驗(yàn)證明，他們從課內(nèi)外的海量閱讀中豐富了知識(shí)，增加了積累，提高了口語(yǔ)交際能力和書面習(xí)作水平。

　　Most of us have dreams about the future, dreams of having a good job and making much money. Surely someone has thought at times “If only I had a lot of money, I could be the happiest person in the world.” In fact it’s the main mistake that people make about money.

　　However, is money the road to happiness? Not really! Many people work every day, work overtime, work weekends to make a lot of money. Are they happy? No. They are too busy making money. Meanwhile, their personal lives, if they have any, fall apart. They have no time to form or to maintain friendship. They even lose the abilities to relax and to enjoy themselves. Enjoying means taking things, taking time to see, to hear, to taste, to smell, to feel. They do not take time to do this. They say: “I’ll do it when I have enough money to retire” then they find that it is too late.

　　Why we usually make such a mistake and even more mistakes? Activists say it is because of money itself. They think money has changed many things. 　　In my opinion, it is unfair to money. Money is a tool. Well, there’s no denying that we do something harmful with money. But we can’t say money is the source of evil. Just like a hammer, we can use a hammer to kill someone, but can we say a hammer is a devil? It is the same with money.
