　　As a correspondent of the Qingdao Morning News, I visited Dr. James Gilman, the President of the International Committee for Marco Polo Studies in England. In this picture, this is James, and this is me and we are looking at a dragon’s tooth. This is a true story.

　　65 years ago, James lived in Qingdao. Then he was only 5 years old. He often visited the Aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there, which he thought was a dragon. He was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure.

　　He kept the tooth for the next 65 years, but the feeling of guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through his life. It was always on his conscience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. Finally he decided to put right his childish error. In 2019, he visited Qingdao and returned it to the Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm welcome.

　　When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit. I was deeply touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I think to err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error.

　　Honesty is a vital quality of human behaviour. So we should try to keep an honest mind in everything we say and do. I would like to say to all of my friends: Let’s be honest people of good moral character.

It is morally wrong to upload or download the piracy music and videos illegally. In addition, this phenomenon means the Hong Kong's intellectual property is being exploited. 　　According to a research from some Universities in Hong Kong, it was found that the different age groups had different reasons of the download or upload the piracy music or videos. The research is divided into two age groups to carry out, a group of teenagers and a group of adults. The research found the reason of most teenagers download or upload the piracy music and videos is that they lack of money and resources. On account of their process of studying, they undoubtedly lack of money and resources to purchase the expensive original CDs or movies. Therefore, the only way they can enjoy the music or videos is to download them from the internet. And for the adults group, the reason is convenient. Nowadays, downloading materials from the internet is very convenient. In addition to the huge resources from the internet, the download time is just for a moment. Therefore, these advantages attracted them to download the piracy music or videos from the internet. They would not go to the store for the original CDs or movies.

　　In this changing society, many citizens are being turned into criminals simply because of the illegal uploading or downloading. As a consequence, the regulations need to be tightening up. And the Government needs to strengthen the law enforcement to crack down on this kind of Internet crimes. For example, formulate new laws to limit the illegal uploading or downloading behavior. Also, the education is significant. No matter how strict the regulation is, if the students are lack of this kind of knowledge, it will surely become a vicious cycle. The criminals will continuously appear in the coming future.

　　時(shí)光荏苒，回顧過(guò)去的日子，我們高三英語(yǔ)組全體老師在教研組長(zhǎng)劉俊英老師和備課組長(zhǎng)劉艷老師的帶領(lǐng)下，本著“把簡(jiǎn)單的事做到極致”的向往，堅(jiān)定“學(xué)校增榮我增榮認(rèn)真工作不放松”的工作理念扎扎實(shí)實(shí)地做好自己的本職工作認(rèn)認(rèn)真真履行著自己的神圣職責(zé)。全身心地投入到指導(dǎo)學(xué)生的高考復(fù)習(xí)工作中。無(wú)論是經(jīng)驗(yàn)豐富的老教師，還是我們這些剛上高三的年輕老師，我們都能夠一心撲在工作上，認(rèn)真研究高考資料，互相學(xué)習(xí)，精心備課，共同研究探討解題思路和做題方法，力求教學(xué)工作系統(tǒng)扎實(shí)，不放過(guò)任何問(wèn)題，使學(xué)生形成完整的知識(shí)結(jié)構(gòu)和方法體系，我們這些年輕老師因此收獲頗豐。兩位組長(zhǎng)還帶領(lǐng)著大家認(rèn)真開(kāi)好每次教研會(huì)，共同研討設(shè)計(jì)出高質(zhì)量的復(fù)習(xí)學(xué)案，使其真正起到了預(yù)期的效果，得到了領(lǐng)導(dǎo)學(xué)生的一致好評(píng)。

　　最后的沖刺已經(jīng)到了關(guān)鍵時(shí)刻，我們高三英語(yǔ)組全體老師會(huì)再接再厲，不折不扣地完成學(xué)校各項(xiàng)工作任務(wù)，進(jìn)一步抓好課堂教學(xué)，使之科學(xué)、嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)、有效;抓好學(xué)生的心理疏導(dǎo)，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生良好的心態(tài)和健康的心理品質(zhì);抓好高考信息的收集篩選，緊緊把握教學(xué)方向;抓好學(xué)生的培優(yōu)補(bǔ)差工作，整合學(xué)科教學(xué)，使學(xué)生的綜合成績(jī)更上一層樓!
