英語短文閱讀的重要性不僅表現(xiàn)在高中英語考試中它的份量最大，而且還表現(xiàn)在英語短文是英語詞匯知識和語法知識的載體方面。詞匯量的擴大、詞匯知識的豐富和句子表達的多樣性光靠死記硬背是無法也不可能實現(xiàn)的。擴大詞匯量、豐富自己的詞匯知識和地道完美的表達自己只有依靠優(yōu)良的閱讀習慣。教材課文是精讀材料，需要同學們讀熟讀透，直至能開口娓娓道來為止。課外閱讀又叫泛讀。高中英語新課標教材對高中前八個模塊的學習有一個要求：課外閱讀要完成30萬單詞的閱讀量。也就是說：同學們需要每天有500到700個單詞量的閱讀。課外閱讀也是運用語言的一種必不可少的形式。課外閱讀不能停留在完成幾道閱讀理解試題或者完形填空試題。關鍵在盡量弄懂文章中的每一句話含義、長難句的結(jié)構。留意你還不很熟悉的詞匯、詞匯知識和語法知識。還要去認真體會不同的英語句子在表達上的精確性。千萬不要在一些你還不認識的，拼寫怪誕，發(fā)音困難的生僻詞匯上浪費時間和精力。
閱讀能力，除詞匯量大小以外，還包含閱讀速度、長難句理解、和把握主題大意的能力。要會快速閱讀，同學們必須學會一些閱讀的技能：如：skimming(跳讀)、scanning(掃讀)和digesting(研讀)。Skimming和scanning就是根據(jù)閱讀任務在文中查找相關信息。Digesting主要是用來理解長難句、把握主題大意和作者意圖以及猜測詞義的技術。不僅要研讀長難句結(jié)構，也還需要研讀邏輯關系。
流暢的短文表達能力在很大程度上依賴于你的詞匯量、詞匯知識和句法知識。它們的積累在于平時的聽、說和讀的活動。寫作表達能力中，你的英語句式的結(jié)構思維能力或者英語習慣思維能力會對表達能力有重要影響。這就需要同學們平時養(yǎng)成一個良好習慣：那就是總是試圖用英語來表達出你眼睛所看到的，耳朵能聽到的，身體能感受到的和你思想能想到的。除此之外，一篇優(yōu)秀的短文還少不了三個要素：即結(jié)構，內(nèi)容和語言。
一片結(jié)構完美的英文短文，尤其是說明文和議論文，往往有一個比較完優(yōu)美的，誘人深入閱讀的開頭語。主題句是可從開頭語中自然而然過度而來。你所程述的觀點，一般都要用事實做論證，或者用具體方式方法來支持。巧妙的結(jié)論句往往能使文章錦上添花。
內(nèi)容需要真實，合乎情理，能讓人信服。文中不要有與主題無關的內(nèi)容。
語言要盡可能是地道的，去漢語化的英語。要經(jīng)常套用自己在閱讀中、在課堂上學來句子結(jié)構去表達自己。要敢于嘗試用比較復雜的句子結(jié)構和比較高級的詞匯來使文章進一步美化。
聽所讀寫四大技能并不是各自孤立的，也是相互作用和相互制約的。如果平時，只注重某一項技能的學習和訓練，那是不可能成為一位真正的英語強手的。
任何一門學科都需要踏實的學習作風。外語也不例外。學外語的實主要表現(xiàn)在以下幾個方面：
一、落實詞匯、詞匯知識和特殊句式的積累。落實詞匯和詞匯知識并不是反復背記詞匯表中的單詞。落實詞匯、詞匯知識以及特殊句式的最好辦法是先探究后運用。一個詞匯在經(jīng)過七到八次在不同時間和不同的語境中運用后，它就是你的了。詞匯知識和特殊句式也是一樣。寫作是運用，造句是運用，閱讀，傾聽和與他人用英語交流也是運用。借助詞典進行造句練習，在造句中運用新學的詞匯不失為一種行之有效的簡單易行的方式。
二、落實課外閱讀。每天堅持花半小時閱讀一兩篇短文。一要真正讀懂。二要留意詞匯運用。
三、落實早自習精讀。每次有硬指標，死任務。
四、落實課內(nèi)課外書面作業(yè)。簡單的完成老師布置的作業(yè)量并不是落實。書面作業(yè)質(zhì)的落實必須是在真正懂了、記住了的基礎上又快又好的獨立的、閉卷式的完成書面作業(yè)。對發(fā)現(xiàn)的漏洞和缺陷要采取補救措施。
五、落實自主探究的學習能力培養(yǎng)。學習中缺乏自主探究，不善于利用團隊合作和與老師溝通是很多高中生在學習中存在的一種普遍想象。老師不是保姆，老師不可能把英語的詞匯知識和英語的四大能力烹制成一道道佳肴后，一口一口地喂進學生的口中。老師的探究代替不了學生的探究。學習能力的培養(yǎng)主要是探究能力的培養(yǎng)。學會了探究，你才會在知識的大海中暢游。學會了探究，你才會成為終身學習者。英語學科的探究應該表現(xiàn)在對某一特定詞匯在文中、在句中的.用法和含義的探究，對長難句結(jié)構和含義的探究，對相關知識關聯(lián)的探究，對作者意圖、主題大意的探究，當然也包含對學法的探究。要探究知識，要有工具（詞典以及各種手冊等）的幫助，更要有團隊的合作，還要有老師的幫助。團隊合作可以讓你取他人之長補自己之短，還可以集思廣益，產(chǎn)生思想火花。常與老師溝通是可以使你更容易發(fā)現(xiàn)前進的方向，少走彎路。
總而言之，英語學習需要同學們從聽說讀寫四大技能方面養(yǎng)成良好的學習習慣，堅持語言知識積累、精讀、泛讀、課內(nèi)課外作業(yè)和自主探究五個方面的腳踏實地地勤奮努力，就能夠比較輕松地完成高中英語的學習，為自己將來的遠大理想奠定堅實的外語基礎。

大家下午好！
古希臘哲學家蘇格拉底曾經(jīng)說過：“世界上最快樂的事，莫過于為理想而奮斗。”今天我正是為了我的理想而來。我叫，原來在xx小學工作，近幾年來一直從事小學英語的教學，今年因工作調(diào)動，調(diào)整到我們xx小學工作，我感到非常的高興，同時，也非常感謝我們學校領導能給我這樣一次展示自我、成就自我的機會。我今天我競聘的崗位是三、四年級的英語教學。
20xx年我畢業(yè)于xx大學外語學院師范英語專業(yè)，四年的大學學習讓我掌握了扎實的語言功底。作為年輕教師，我從不敢懈怠，堅持利用業(yè)余時間學習，提高自身業(yè)務水平。通過一年的教學工作，我的教學業(yè)務水平得到了很大的提升。今天，我競聘的是二年級英語教師，之所以競聘這個崗位，基于以下三點原因：
一、了解并熱愛我的學生
這一屆學生從入學開始就擔任一二班的英語教學工作。在一年的教學實踐中，我揣摩著，嘗試著，與他們真誠溝通交流著，已經(jīng)非常熟悉每個學生的性格特點和學習現(xiàn)狀，這為教學工作的進一步開展，奠定了堅實的基礎。
二、我有扎實的專業(yè)知識
我深知英語學科在學校基本學科教學中的地位和作用，明確英語教師的職小學班主任競聘責和任務，也明白英語教師所應必備的素質(zhì)和要求，所以，自工作以來，我始終不忘學習，勤鉆研，善思考，多研究，不斷豐富提高自己。
三、我有較好的年齡優(yōu)勢
我正當青春年華，精力旺盛，敬業(yè)精神高，能夠全身心地投入到自己熱愛的教學工作中去。這一點也深受學生喜愛。
為了趕上課改的步伐，我利用課余時間學習了《英語課程標準》，深入了解它的基本理念。其中強調(diào)教學要面向全體學生，注重素質(zhì)教育，特別強調(diào)要關注每個學生的情感，激發(fā)他們的興趣，幫助他們建立學習的成就感和自信心。所以在教學中，我始終以學生為中心，發(fā)揮他們的主體作用，采用以學生為中心的教學思路，充分考慮學生的現(xiàn)有基礎，興趣愛好，學習風格等差異。讓學生體驗和積極參與，建構知識，形成積極的態(tài)度，促進語言實際運用能力的提高。
以上所述情況，是我競聘英語教師的優(yōu)勢條件，假如我有幸競聘上崗，這些優(yōu)勢條件將有助于我更好的開展英語教學工作。
如果我有幸競聘成功，能擔任三四年級英語教師的話，我將從以下方面開展工作：
一是認真貫徹執(zhí)行黨的教育路線、方針、政策和學校的各項決定，加強學習，積極進取，求真務實，開拓創(chuàng)新，不斷提高自己的綜合素質(zhì)、創(chuàng)新能力，用自己的勤奮加智慧，完成好教學任務。使我校的英語教學上一個大的臺階。
二是做一個科研型的教師。教師的從教之日，正是重新學習之時。新時代要求教師具備的不只是操作技巧，還要有直面新情況、分析新問題、解決新矛盾的本領。進行目標明確、有針對性解決我校的英語教學難題。
三是做一個理念新的教師。目前，新一輪的基礎教育改革早已在我市全面推開，作為新課改的實踐者，要在認真學習新課程理念的基礎上，結(jié)合自己所教的學科，積極探索有效的教學方法。大力改革教學，積極探索實施創(chuàng)新教學模式。把英語知識與學生的生活相結(jié)合，為學生創(chuàng)設一個富有生活氣息的真實的學習情境，同時注重學生的探究發(fā)現(xiàn)，引導學生在學習中學會合作交流，提高學習能力。
四、做一個富有愛心的老師�！安粣蹖W生教不好學生”，“愛學生就要愛每一個學生”。作為一名教師，要無私地奉獻愛，處處播灑愛，使我的學生在愛的激勵下，增強自信，勇于創(chuàng)新，不斷進取，成長為撐起祖國一片藍天的棟梁。用質(zhì)樸的心愛護學生，用誠摯的情感染學生，用精湛的教學藝術熏陶學生，用忘我的工作態(tài)度影響學生。

i was born in beijing and live in beijing, and i love beijing very much. when i heard that beijing will have a chance to hold the 20__ olympic games i feel very happy and excited, and i hope i can do something useful to build beijing into a beautiful and energetic city.
in the twenty-first century, environment is becoming more and more important, so we have "green olympic" as a slogan. of course slogan is just a goal, the most important thing is we should do some things to make it true. such as assort the trash, save the energy and so on. we are still students now, so we can't do anything really big. but if everybody does something good for our environment we could make beijing more beautiful.
in fact the things we can do are easy. like not littering the useless batteries everywhere, assort the trash which we want to throw away, and also protect the animals and plants around us, because they are important parts of the energetic beijing.
luckily i had a chance to take part in an activity that is we planted 5 trees in our campus. my classmates and i worked very hard. this activity doesn't only plant trees, but also contribute to our environment. look at the trees, i believe, tomorrow there will be more trees and flowers standing in beijing and give beijingers a beautiful environment.

在經(jīng)濟飛速發(fā)展的'21世紀，環(huán)境的好與壞逐漸成為了衡量一個城市優(yōu)劣的重要標準。因此，我們有了綠色奧運的口號。當然了，口號是指導，最重要的還是要落實到行動當中。諸如垃圾分類，綠色能源，綠色發(fā)電等等等等，都是國家為打造生態(tài)北京、綠色奧運做出的不懈努力。當然，依舊是學生的我們或許無法做什么大事，但如果每一個人都有心去做一點，那么我們千千萬萬的北京學子們一定可以讓北京美起來！
其實我們要做的也很簡單：每當有用完的廢電池不要亂扔，應集中交給回收站處理；每當有生活垃圾要扔掉的時候，應認真地進行垃圾分類，再扔進垃圾箱內(nèi)；而且我們也應當學會保護身邊的動植物，一花一草，一鳥一蟲都是生態(tài)北京的一個重要組成部分。
