　　It is a commonplace among moralists that you cannot get happiness by pursuing it. This is only true if you pursue it unwisely. Gamblers at Monte Carlo are pursuing money, and most of them lose it instead, but there are other ways of pursuing money, which often succeed. So it is with happiness. If you pursue it by means of drink, you are forgetting the hangover. Epicurus pursued it by living only in congenial society and eating only dry bread, supplemented by a little cheese on feast days. His method proved successful in his case, but he was a valetudinarian, and most people would need something more vigorous. For most people, the pursuit of happiness, unless supplemented in various ways, is too abstract and theoretical to be adequate as a personal rule of life. But I think that whatever personal rule of life you may choose it should not, except in rare and heroic cases, be incompatible with happiness. If you look around at the men and women whom you can call happy, you will see that they all have certain things in common.

　　The most important of these things is an activity which at most gradually builds up something that you are glad to see coming into existence. Women who take an instinctive pleasure in their children can get this kind of satisfaction out of bringing up a family. Artists and authors and men of science get happiness in this way if their own work seems good to them. But there are many humbler forms of the same kind of pleasure. Many men who spend their working life in the city devote their weekends to voluntary and unremunerated toil in their gardens, and when the spring comes, they experience all the joys of having created beauty. The whole subject of happiness has, in my opinion, been treated too solemnly.

　　It had been thought that man cannot be happy without a theory of life or a religion. Perhaps those who have been rendered unhappy by a bad theory may need a better theory to help them to recover, just as you may need a tonic when you have been ill. But when things are normal a man should be healthy without a tonic and happy without a theory. It is the simple things that really matter. If a man delights in his wife and children, has success in work, and finds pleasure in the alternation of day and night, spring and autumn, he will be happy whatever his philosophy may be. If, on the other hand, he finds his wife fateful, his children’s noise unendurable, and the office a nightmare; if in the daytime he longs for night, and at night sighs for the light of day, then what he needs is not a new philosophy but a new regimen--a different diet, or more exercise, or what not. Man is an animal, and his happiness depends on his physiology more than he likes to think. This is a humble conclusion, but I cannot make myself disbelieve it. Unhappy businessmen, I am convinced, would increase their happiness more by walking six miles every day than by any conceivable change of philosophy.

But now the rubbish was getting more and more .Dish leaves,fruit skins,dead ducks and chickens….after rotting ,not only the mosquitos flew around but also the bad smell made everyone feel quite terrible.Though the stream was cleaned up several times, it’s still happening now. A lot of plastic bags always float on it .In summmer we have to go far away from the village to swim.

But people killed many mountain tigers to protect the deer. soon there were so many deer that the ate up all the wild flowers. Then the deer began to eat the green leaves of the young trees .so the farmers thought of ways to protect their trees, then the deer had nothing to eat and many of them died.

　　The number of trees, deer, tigers, wild flowers and plants has changed much—less and less. We need to do more to keep the balance of nature.

　　As we all know, the most important thing in life is our attitude towards it, lots of men have tried different ways of treating life, and some succeeded, some failed, and here are some of the tips they left us. Life isn’t about keeping score. Life isn’t about your shoes or your hair or the color of your skin. 　　As an example, if TV is your favorite thing to do, why not connect your TV set to an electric generator that is charged by a stationary bike, you know, the kind of bike you peddle, that doesn’t go anywhere. So think about it, the more you watch TV, the fitter you’ll be.

　　Now if you are the kind of person who thinks listening to music is fun and you spend many hours alone tap tap tapping your fingers and your toes to the beat, why not take it one step further and get up on your feet and dance, dance, dance.

　　Or maybe you’re the type of person who prefers being with your friends. There are many ways one could have fun with their pals. For instance you could just hang out and do nothing or better yet you could get into a friendly game of basketball or football there is no rule that says everyone has to be as good as Yao Ming or David Beckham, right?

　　However sometimes there just aren’t enough players, or you may even be alone in which case you could go for a ride on your bike, maybe, stop by the library to borrow a book, or go for a walk around the park and enjoy the sunshine and scenery. Before you know it, you’re having fun.

　　Let’s face it, exercise is work and when we think of work we think of thankless underpaid hardships yet it needn’t be this way, if we think of exercise as fun.

　　從大學(xué)畢業(yè)到現(xiàn)在我已走上講臺整整七年，而在過去的七年當(dāng)中讓我進(jìn)步最快的就是上個學(xué)期。在上個學(xué)期，為提高課堂教學(xué)效率，打造高效課堂，切實(shí)落實(shí)“五步短動式教學(xué)法”在課堂中的運(yùn)用，我前后共上了六節(jié)公開課。通過反復(fù)的實(shí)踐，使我的教學(xué)觀念有了一個巨大的轉(zhuǎn)變，對“五步短動式教學(xué)法”有了更深的理解，將“五步短動式教學(xué)法”融入到每節(jié)課中，盡可能地發(fā)揮學(xué)生的主體地位，盡可能地創(chuàng)設(shè)和諧、民主、寬松的教學(xué)環(huán)境，讓學(xué)生真正成為課堂的主人。下面介紹一下我在教學(xué)中的幾點(diǎn)做法。

　　一、轉(zhuǎn)變課堂教學(xué)模式

　　有人認(rèn)為歷史是一門老師好教、學(xué)生好學(xué)的學(xué)科。對于學(xué)生來說，不需要有什么基礎(chǔ)，只要認(rèn)真學(xué)習(xí)就不會有太大的問題。但是在現(xiàn)實(shí)教學(xué)中我所面臨的問題是：有的學(xué)生不愛學(xué)，學(xué)的不認(rèn)真、不積極，惰性極強(qiáng)。面對這種情況，我在上課時靈活運(yùn)用“五步短動式教學(xué)法”，將課堂分解為“看一看”、“說一說”、“聽一聽”、“議一議”、“練一練”五個環(huán)節(jié)，穿插于整節(jié)課,使師生之間一直處于互動狀態(tài)，盡量提高學(xué)生注意力。敢于放手，注意培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的各方面能力，把大部分的講授時間交還給學(xué)生使用,發(fā)揮學(xué)生的主體作用。在課堂上不

　　二、小組評價機(jī)制滲透到課堂內(nèi)外

　　課堂上組織學(xué)生以學(xué)習(xí)小組為單位參與學(xué)習(xí)，回答問題即可得到相應(yīng)的'分?jǐn)?shù)，然后把分?jǐn)?shù)統(tǒng)計(jì)作為評選“優(yōu)秀小組”的依據(jù)。尤其對一些學(xué)困生，我往往采用學(xué)困生答對問題加雙倍分，幫助他們樹立自信心，不放棄學(xué)習(xí)。利用小組評價機(jī)制也打破了課堂沉悶、死板的狀態(tài)，激發(fā)了學(xué)生主動學(xué)習(xí)的熱情。我還把小組評價機(jī)制沿用到課后的作業(yè)和知識點(diǎn)背誦的檢查中。在作業(yè)中，書寫工整、規(guī)范并且及時改錯的就給予加分;而對于那些不認(rèn)真完成作業(yè)、不及時改錯的就減分，并鼓勵他們在課堂上通過積極參與課堂將因?yàn)樽约核鶃G的分?jǐn)?shù)賺回來。在知識點(diǎn)背誦的檢查中，凡是按照老師要求全組同學(xué)都背誦完的就給予加分，班上第一個背誦完的小組給予雙倍加分。大大提升了學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的積極性。通過一個學(xué)期的實(shí)踐，證明小組評價機(jī)制的運(yùn)用是行之有效的。

　　三、重視學(xué)生興趣的培養(yǎng)

　　Human beings always scan others, therefore, lots of people just see the flaws of them, then they will blame and criticize the outside factors, some people will even try to change them! Unfortunately, they ignore the importance of the inner factors.

　　1、認(rèn)真?zhèn)湔n。

　　英語學(xué)科知識點(diǎn)多而雜，致使部分學(xué)生因記不住而失去興趣。我會經(jīng)常用各種靈活的活動幫助他們記憶，使學(xué)生輕松的掌握知識，提高興趣。比如在初一教音標(biāo)時，我用一個小故事把十二個單元音音素連起來，易于他們記憶，還有二十一個輔音字母的發(fā)音我也編了與發(fā)音相匹的動作幫助他們記憶。研究詞匯eye時，用聯(lián)想法可以幫助他們記憶，也可用諧音教學(xué)door，告訴學(xué)生門是用來防盜的，所以墳?zāi)沟囊馑�，發(fā)音是土墓，再比如umbrella諧音像俺不來了，因?yàn)橄掠隂]傘。教學(xué)語法時，比如時態(tài)的教學(xué)，可以把幾大時態(tài)的構(gòu)成及用法比較對比研究，比較級最高級的教學(xué)，用實(shí)物或班里的同學(xué)設(shè)置真實(shí)的語境，操練句型。運(yùn)用靈活的教學(xué)方法，可以降低研究的難度，激發(fā)學(xué)生們研究的興趣。

　　三、經(jīng)常查缺補(bǔ)漏，及時抓弱補(bǔ)偏

　　四、對教師的理解

　　1、教師首先是教誨者，其次才是教學(xué)者。

　　2、教師要自我發(fā)展。北京的培訓(xùn)真正讓我了解了人外有人，天外有天的道理。無論是大學(xué)教授還是一線教師，都即是理論專家，又是實(shí)踐高手。他們的秘訣就是要與時俱進(jìn)，要與學(xué)生同步。和老師已到退休年齡還每天寫反思，聽英文廣播，每周看一本與教學(xué)有關(guān)的書籍。

　　3、教師要協(xié)作發(fā)展�？拷處熞蝗说牧α亢茈y辦理一些教學(xué)中的實(shí)際困難。一個學(xué)校優(yōu)秀的成績背后一定有一個連合協(xié)作和具有科研立異精神的團(tuán)隊(duì)。單打獨(dú)斗無法創(chuàng)造一個學(xué)科的輝煌。

　　我想教誨教學(xué)需要“眾人劃槳開大船”。你一個經(jīng)驗(yàn)，我一個經(jīng)驗(yàn)，就是兩個經(jīng)驗(yàn)；你一個方法，我一個方法，就是兩個方法。教誨資源需要共享，教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)需要交換，教學(xué)方法需要互學(xué)。在教學(xué)中，教研組成員假如一起探叨教學(xué)疑心，教學(xué)方法，新的教學(xué)理念，我們一定能在提高自己教學(xué)能力、自身素質(zhì)的同時，共同去打造我校高效教學(xué)的新場面。

　　When having to make a choice most people think they have to choose between the two. Far too often people go for the latter and naturally choose fun. For instance many people would prefer watching television, or more commonly known as TV to exercising, we all know that it’s true, right? The problem is, if you don’t exercise you will become weak and ultimately out of shape and it is no fun to be out of shape, right? So the question is, why not turn exercise into fun?

　　As an example, if TV is your favorite thing to do, why not connect your TV set to an electric generator that is charged by a stationary bike, you know, the kind of bike you peddle, that doesn’t go anywhere. So think about it, the more you watch TV, the fitter you’ll be.

　　Now if you are the kind of person who thinks listening to music is fun and you spend many hours alone tap tap tapping your fingers and your toes to the beat, why not take it one step further and get up on your feet and dance, dance, dance.

　　Or maybe you’re the type of person who prefers being with your friends. There are many ways one could have fun with their pals. For instance you could just hang out and do nothing or better yet you could get into a friendly game of basketball or football there is no rule that says everyone has to be as good as Yao Ming or David Beckham, right?

　　However sometimes there just aren’t enough players, or you may even be alone in which case you could go for a ride on your bike, maybe, stop by the library to borrow a book, or go for a walk around the park and enjoy the sunshine and scenery. Before you know it, you’re having fun.

　　Let’s face it, exercise is work and when we think of work we think of thankless underpaid hardships yet it needn’t be this way, if we think of exercise as fun.

　　3 my definition of success

　　“once upon a time， there was a king who had a daughter as beautiful as a blooming rose. to all the suitors who came to the king's palace to ask for the hand of the princess, the old king assigned three tasks to be accomplished, each next to impossible. one day, into the king's palace came a handsome young prince..." well, you know the rest. the three tasks may be different in different versions, but the main plot is always the same, with the prince claiming the princess's hand triumphantly.

　　and the ending is always the same, finishing with the line "and they live happily every after."

　　why aren't we tired of something so fanciful, so unrealistic, and, i would say, so unimaginative? how can a story like that endure generations of repetition`? because, i think, it is a typical succestory. it is highly philosophical and symbolic. by implication, we see a 4-step definition of success: 1 ) a goal to be set. as represented by the beautiful princess; 2 ) challenges to be met, as represented by the three tasks; 3 ) the proceof surmounting difficulties, as represented by the ordeals the youth goes through; and 4 ) the reward of success, as represented by the happy marriage.

　　the story not only caters to everyone's inward yearning for success, but also emphasizes the inseparability of the proceand the result. the reward of succewill be much amplified if the path leading towards it is treacherous, and vice versa. if a person inherits his father's millions and leads an easy life, he is not a successful person even in material terms, because there are no difficulties involved in his achieving affluence. the term "success", to be sure. will not sit still for easy definition. but as i understand it, the true meaning of succeentails a combination of both the proceand the satisfactory result of an endeavor. to clarify my view, let me give another analogy.
