Thanksgiving is a very important American festivity and it is celebrated on the last Thursday of November.
However, schools and many shops and offices are closed for four days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Why is Thanksgiving such an important day?
The tradition started with the Pilgrims, the founders of America.

The Pilgrims worked hard . By November 1621 everyone had food and a home.
There was hope for the future. The Pilgrim leader, decided to celebrate with a dinner for the Pilgrims and the Indians.He wanted to give thanks to Gd.
This was the first Thanksgiving dinner and it lasted for three days.
Today the traditional Thanksgiving meal is similar to the first.

We would never waste it if it was money, so why do we waste it when it comes to time?
Those seconds are so much more powerful than dollars because you can always make more dollars, you can’t always make more time.
To realize the value of 1 year, ask a student who failed a grade.
To realize the value of 1 month, ask a mother who lost their child in the final month.
To realize the value of 1 week, ask the editor of an online magazine.
To realize the value of 1 hour, ask the couple who’s in a long-distance relationship.
To realize the value of 1 minute, ask the person who just missed a bus, train or plane.

我深知英語(yǔ)學(xué)科在學(xué)校基本學(xué)科教學(xué)中的地位和作用,明確英語(yǔ)教師的職小學(xué)班主任競(jìng)聘責(zé)和任務(wù),也明白英語(yǔ)教師所應(yīng)必備的素質(zhì)和要求,所以,自工作以來(lái),我始終不忘學(xué)習(xí),勤鉆研,善思考,多研究,不斷豐富提高自己。
三、我有較好的年齡優(yōu)勢(shì)
我正當(dāng)青春年華,精力旺盛,敬業(yè)精神高,能夠全身心地投入到自己熱愛(ài)的教學(xué)工作中去。這一點(diǎn)也深受學(xué)生喜愛(ài)。
為了趕上課改的步伐,我利用課余時(shí)間學(xué)習(xí)了《英語(yǔ)課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)》,深入了解它的基本理念。其中強(qiáng)調(diào)教學(xué)要面向全體學(xué)生,注重素質(zhì)教育,特別強(qiáng)調(diào)要關(guān)注每個(gè)學(xué)生的情感,激發(fā)他們的興趣,幫助他們建立學(xué)習(xí)的成就感和自信心。所以在教學(xué)中,我始終以學(xué)生為中心,發(fā)揮他們的主體作用,采用以學(xué)生為中心的教學(xué)思路,充分考慮學(xué)生的現(xiàn)有基礎(chǔ),興趣愛(ài)好,學(xué)習(xí)風(fēng)格等差異。讓學(xué)生體驗(yàn)和積極參與,建構(gòu)知識(shí),形成積極的態(tài)度,促進(jìn)語(yǔ)言實(shí)際運(yùn)用能力的提高。
以上所述情況,是我競(jìng)聘英語(yǔ)教師的優(yōu)勢(shì)條件,假如我有幸競(jìng)聘上崗,這些優(yōu)勢(shì)條件將有助于我更好的開(kāi)展英語(yǔ)教學(xué)工作。
如果我有幸競(jìng)聘成功,能擔(dān)任三四年級(jí)英語(yǔ)教師的話(huà),我將從以下方面開(kāi)展工作:

三是做一個(gè)理念新的教師。目前,新一輪的基礎(chǔ)教育改革早已在我市全面推開(kāi),作為新課改的實(shí)踐者,要在認(rèn)真學(xué)習(xí)新課程理念的基礎(chǔ)上,結(jié)合自己所教的學(xué)科,積極探索有效的教學(xué)方法。大力改革教學(xué),積極探索實(shí)施創(chuàng)新教學(xué)模式。把英語(yǔ)知識(shí)與學(xué)生的生活相結(jié)合,為學(xué)生創(chuàng)設(shè)一個(gè)富有生活氣息的真實(shí)的學(xué)習(xí)情境,同時(shí)注重學(xué)生的探究發(fā)現(xiàn),引導(dǎo)學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)中學(xué)會(huì)合作交流,提高學(xué)習(xí)能力。

對(duì)于絕大多數(shù)同學(xué)來(lái)說(shuō),英語(yǔ)始終是心頭大患。我與大家經(jīng)歷相同,從4年級(jí)便被扣上了這頂帽子,每一次考試,英語(yǔ)總是給我拖后腿,但在一次次摸索中,我也在不斷進(jìn)步,總結(jié)了一些經(jīng)驗(yàn)。正所謂“方向不對(duì),努力白費(fèi)”,正確的學(xué)習(xí)方法會(huì)使我們的學(xué)習(xí)效率大大提高,從而達(dá)到事半功倍的目的。下面是我總結(jié)的一些學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的經(jīng)驗(yàn),希望可以供同學(xué)們參考。
第一,做好課堂筆記。
顧名思義,課堂筆記便是利用課堂時(shí)間將老師所講的重點(diǎn)、難點(diǎn)、疑點(diǎn)記下,千萬(wàn)不可以“手懶”,對(duì)于知識(shí)零碎的英語(yǔ)來(lái)說(shuō)更是如此,好記性不如爛筆頭。然后是回顧筆記,回顧筆記才是做筆記的重點(diǎn),建議大家,周末時(shí)專(zhuān)門(mén)抽出時(shí)間回顧一下當(dāng)周所做的筆記,這樣能有效地緩解緊張的心理,可以讓你在下一周的學(xué)習(xí)中得心應(yīng)手。舉個(gè)我自己的`例子吧,記得有一次英語(yǔ)抽測(cè),我抱著僥幸的心理,沒(méi)有做好復(fù)習(xí)工作,所以考試前就開(kāi)始臨時(shí)抱佛腳,結(jié)果到了最后,根本沒(méi)有時(shí)間復(fù)習(xí)完,考試時(shí)慌慌張張,考得一塌糊涂。所以說(shuō),做好筆記對(duì)于學(xué)生來(lái)說(shuō)十分重要。
第二,整理回顧錯(cuò)題。
對(duì)于很多同學(xué)來(lái)說(shuō),都能做到整理錯(cuò)題,但重點(diǎn)是我們不僅僅要整理,更要回顧與反思。所謂“好馬不吃回頭草”對(duì)我們學(xué)生萬(wàn)萬(wàn)不可適用,要想成功擠過(guò)中考這座獨(dú)木橋,就必須回顧自己的錯(cuò)題,也防止再出現(xiàn)類(lèi)似的失誤。再舉個(gè)例子吧,我開(kāi)始和很多同學(xué)一樣只是糾一下錯(cuò),之后就不管了,但是有一次考試,我真記得做過(guò)某一題,就是忘了怎么做,結(jié)果不僅沒(méi)做出題,心情也糟糕透頂,考試結(jié)果可想而知慘不忍睹,后來(lái)我學(xué)著經(jīng)常回顧錯(cuò)題本,慢慢地積累,厚積薄發(fā),考試也不再出現(xiàn)類(lèi)似的失誤。
第三,要利用零碎的時(shí)間。
英語(yǔ)是一門(mén)需要長(zhǎng)期積累的科目,知識(shí)點(diǎn)很多,一定要好好利用互聯(lián)網(wǎng)、學(xué)習(xí)機(jī)和其他移動(dòng)方便的設(shè)備,更不用說(shuō)書(shū)籍和雜志這樣的傳統(tǒng)學(xué)習(xí)資源!你完全可以在課間、排隊(duì)、午休等時(shí)間記幾個(gè)單詞,要養(yǎng)成“天天英語(yǔ)”的習(xí)慣,每天按老師的要求作一篇完形閱讀,堅(jiān)持天天聽(tīng)英語(yǔ)。其實(shí)學(xué)英語(yǔ)的過(guò)程更像是一朵云的形成,是水汽的一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)積累;而不像砌一面墻那樣,把磚堆上去就好。
個(gè)誤區(qū),對(duì)基礎(chǔ)知識(shí)重視不夠;A(chǔ)知識(shí)是最簡(jiǎn)單的但也是最重要的。
許多人面對(duì)這個(gè)問(wèn)題時(shí)總是用不認(rèn)真、不仔細(xì)來(lái)解釋?zhuān)@不是根源。前面提到,即使去檢查也不一定能查出來(lái),而且還會(huì)浪費(fèi)一些思考偏難題的時(shí)間。因此,一次做對(duì)是關(guān)鍵。但怎樣才能一次做對(duì)呢?首先,要重視熟練。古人說(shuō)熟能生巧,只有多做練習(xí)才能做到熟練,心中掛一個(gè)警鐘,一遇到這種題小心就能避免出錯(cuò)。經(jīng)常做練習(xí),看到這些題就能不假思索寫(xiě)出正確答案,這樣就比我們草草做完,回頭花大量時(shí)間去檢查要好的多。
當(dāng)然,英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)并不只是這么一點(diǎn),同時(shí)需我們多進(jìn)行一些詞匯量的擴(kuò)展。課外閱讀是一個(gè)很好的方法。我們手中的空中英語(yǔ)教室就是一個(gè)很好的選擇。遇到不懂的單詞多查,多問(wèn)。擴(kuò)充我們的詞匯庫(kù)。

in fact the things we can do are easy. like not littering the useless batteries everywhere, assort the trash which we want to throw away, and also protect the animals and plants around us, because they are important parts of the energetic beijing.
luckily i had a chance to take part in an activity that is we planted 5 trees in our campus. my classmates and i worked very hard. this activity doesn't only plant trees, but also contribute to our environment. look at the trees, i believe, tomorrow there will be more trees and flowers standing in beijing and give beijingers a beautiful environment.

4、競(jìng)爭(zhēng)意識(shí)強(qiáng),都很上進(jìn)。
我們的家長(zhǎng)都非常重視孩子們的英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí),大家都意識(shí)到英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)不管是對(duì)我們的日常生活還是升學(xué)來(lái)說(shuō),都有著重要的作用,有著重大的意義。而我們中學(xué)階段的教學(xué)目的在于培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣、良好的語(yǔ)言習(xí)慣、運(yùn)用英語(yǔ)進(jìn)展交際的能力以及跨文化意識(shí)。因此,我的課堂也是圍繞聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、寫(xiě)幾個(gè)方面對(duì)所學(xué)知識(shí)進(jìn)展操練和運(yùn)用。通過(guò)一段時(shí)間的教學(xué),我發(fā)現(xiàn)這個(gè)班學(xué)生都特別負(fù)責(zé),班風(fēng)、學(xué)風(fēng)也很好,最重要的是絕大多數(shù)的同學(xué)自尊心強(qiáng),上進(jìn)心強(qiáng),這使我對(duì)他們充滿(mǎn)信心。
但同樣也發(fā)現(xiàn)了以下問(wèn)題:
英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)方面:
1、學(xué)習(xí)心態(tài)和態(tài)度不端正。少部分學(xué)生沒(méi)有意識(shí)到學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的重要性,對(duì)于學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)是抱著無(wú)態(tài)度。
2、學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣不夠好。我要求學(xué)生在上課前集體朗讀單詞或課文,這對(duì)鍛煉他們的'英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)和音準(zhǔn)有很大的幫助,但是還是有好幾個(gè)學(xué)生態(tài)度不端正,敷衍了事。我還要求讀英語(yǔ)的時(shí)候用手指單詞和句子,有利于對(duì)單詞的記憶,并且能更好的集中注意力。但是有很多人沒(méi)有這種習(xí)慣,眼睛盯著天花板,盯著窗戶(hù)讀的都有,甚至還有的同學(xué)邊發(fā)呆邊跟著讀,這樣就沒(méi)有效果。還存在著嚴(yán)重的畏難情緒,我給的問(wèn)題或是閱讀材料還剛出來(lái)就有人抱怨“我不會(huì)做”、“這么難”、“看不懂”,我會(huì)反問(wèn)他們“你還沒(méi)看題怎么知道不會(huì)做?遇到困難首先想到的不是解決問(wèn)題而是逃避,那么你永遠(yuǎn)不會(huì)進(jìn)步”。這段時(shí)間這種情況幾乎沒(méi)有了。
3、少數(shù)同學(xué)根底不好。到現(xiàn)在26個(gè)字母還讀不全、默不全。這也是頗讓人頭疼的問(wèn)題。
4、閱讀能力欠佳,有待提高。閱讀在今后的升學(xué)考試,包括中考、高考、研究生考試以及大學(xué)英語(yǔ)四、六級(jí)考試中都占有很大的分值。但我們的學(xué)生對(duì)于閱讀暫時(shí)還沒(méi)有概念。我要求他們把閱讀材料讀三遍,第一遍泛讀,也就是瀏覽;第二遍精讀,把生詞劃出來(lái),根據(jù)上下文理解單詞的意思;第三遍答復(fù)以下問(wèn)題,但是很少有同學(xué)能夠嚴(yán)格按照要求完成,往往是讀了一遍就不想讀了。 針對(duì)以上問(wèn)題,我也研究了一些方法和策略,需要各位家長(zhǎng)的配合和支持。
1、催促學(xué)生在家聽(tīng)英語(yǔ)磁帶,每周不少于1小時(shí),最好能每天堅(jiān)持聽(tīng)10—15分鐘,這將對(duì)孩子的學(xué)習(xí)有很大幫助。
2、爭(zhēng)取消化當(dāng)天所學(xué)的單詞,不要積壓任務(wù)。我會(huì)在每單元完畢的時(shí)候組織一次聽(tīng)寫(xiě),并要求學(xué)生帶回家給家長(zhǎng)過(guò)目。
3、請(qǐng)家長(zhǎng)催促孩子在家里完成家庭作業(yè),以免他們來(lái)學(xué)校在匆忙之中互相抄襲。有時(shí)的默寫(xiě)作業(yè)我也會(huì)煩請(qǐng)各位家長(zhǎng)簽字,這也是為了給學(xué)生一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)壓力,讓他們知道父母會(huì)經(jīng)常檢查他們的作業(yè)本,一定要認(rèn)真寫(xiě)才行。家長(zhǎng)可以讓學(xué)生自己默寫(xiě)或者報(bào)中文意思都可以,但最重要的是在學(xué)生默完后,催促他們對(duì)著書(shū)本更正。
4、每一個(gè)單元都有閱讀的部分,并且附有課后習(xí)題。如果你的孩子英語(yǔ)根底不是很好,可以催促他們先在家,做適當(dāng)?shù)念A(yù)習(xí)。 生物學(xué)習(xí)方面:
每個(gè)學(xué)生對(duì)這個(gè)世界的事物充滿(mǎn)了好奇心,上課時(shí)氣氛活潑,積極表現(xiàn),課堂作業(yè)很認(rèn)真,家庭作業(yè)也能按時(shí)完成,考試成績(jī)優(yōu)異。
